Abstract

The family is the first and foremost environment that provides children with social and linguistic experiences. Parents and other family members serve as the child's first language model, significantly influencing their language development in the future. This literature study aims to analyze the impact of the family environment on the language skills of elementary school students. The study employs a literature review method by referencing previous research journals relevant to the topic.Through journal searches, five relevant studies were identified. The majority of these studies applied a descriptive method design with a qualitative approach, while some also incorporated ex-post facto quantitative methods. Despite variations in research findings, all studies consistently indicate that the family environment plays a crucial role in shaping children's language skills. Factors such as parental involvement, the frequency of verbal interactions at home, and the availability of reading materials contribute significantly to children's linguistic development. Additionally, supportive family environments, where parents actively engage in conversations and storytelling, positively impact children's vocabulary acquisition and reading abilities.Based on the literature review results, it can be concluded that the family environment influences children's language skills. While the findings of each study may differ, they share a common conclusion regarding the significance of family interactions in shaping children's reading and communication abilities. These findings highlight the importance of fostering a language-rich home environment to support children's linguistic growth. Future research is suggested to further explore strategies that enhance parental involvement in children's language development.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a program under the Merdeka Curriculum that should be implemented routinely, in a structured manner, and with supportive conditions from all parties involved. This study aims to explore the challenges faced by educational institutions in implementing the P5 program, serving as an evaluation reference for improving educational success. Using a qualitative research method with interviews, this study involves validation and verification from relevant stakeholders and educators who directly experience the situation in the field. The data collected is based on direct communication with teachers and field observations, which are then analyzed and presented in a descriptive format. The findings reveal several significant challenges that affect the effectiveness of the P5 program, including issues related to understanding and implementation, as well as inadequate infrastructure and facilities. However, this study primarily evaluates the effectiveness and productivity of the Merdeka Curriculum without directly measuring its success. Therefore, further in-depth research is recommended to achieve higher validity and a more comprehensive understanding of the program’s impact.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, gadgets have become an important part of everyday life, even for children who are still in elementary school. Excessive use of electronic devices, especially when playing, can affect students' learning habits and academic achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning achievement results of elementary school students who are filled with the intensity of playing gadgets. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is obtained through a series of in-depth interviews conducted with teachers and parents of students. This study involved one of the elementary schools in Jorong Kampung Baru, West Pasaman Regency, with research subjects including parents, teachers and grade III students. The results showed that students who played too much electronic devices tended to experience decreased focus in learning, lack of participation and lower academic achievement compared to students who had better control over their electronic devices. In addition, it was found that parents and teachers should supervise children when using devices so as not to interfere with their academic achievement.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah elemen mendasar bagi manusia yang memiliki peranan signifikan dalam kehidupan dalam mencerdaskan masyarakat dan memperkuat bangsa. Di Indonesia, sistem pendidikan formal terdiri dari tiga jenjang: dasar, menengah, dan tinggi. Namun, di tingkat dasar, khususnya kelas awal, sering terjadi kesulitan pembelajaran terutama dalam kemampuan baca, tulis dan hitung (calistung). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kesulitan calistung pada siswa kelas I, II, dan III di SD Negeri 06 Payakumbuh. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 25% siswa kelas I, 50% siswa kelas II, dan 25% siswa kelas III mengalami kesulitan calistung. Faktor penyebabnya terdiri dari faktor internal seperti kondisi kesehatan dan kemampuan fonologis, serta faktor eksternal seperti kurangnya perhatian orang tua dan lingkungan belajar yang tidak mendukung. Program literasi dan pembelajaran tambahan merupakan sebuah upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dan sekolah teteapi belum menunjukkan hasil optimal. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan aktif orang tua dan dukungan lingkungan sangat diperlukan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan calistung siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan kepada pendidik dan orang tua dalam mengatasi masalah pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students' problem-solving ability in mathematics learning, especially based on real-world problems. The main cause is that students still have problems in understanding the meaning and finding the core of the given problem. The objectives of this study to determine the modified Triangle Method (TM) with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) to improv students' ability in problem-solving and also its interaction with prior knowledge. This type of research is experimental design with a sample of 69 students grade VIII in West Sumatera, Indonesia. The data were obtained by giving the test, which was evaluated by t-test and two-way ANOVA. Based on the result test, obtained a t-value of 4.488 with the Sig.=0.000<0.05= α. It can be concluded that the modified of TM and CTL can improve students' problem-solving ability. Meanwhile, the interaction test obtained Sig.0.467>0.05=α. In other words, there is no interaction between CTL and students' prior knowledge of problem-solving skills. It means that TM and CTL can be used for students with high and low prior knowledge to improve students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengkaji “Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam mata pelajaran IPA.”.  Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian literatur. Menganalisis 15 artikel jurnal nasional, menemukan 3 artikel yang relevan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian data, pembahasan, dan kesimpulan. Hasilnya menunjukkan dampak positif TPS terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam IPA.Kata Kunci : Kajian Literatur, Think Phair share, Motivasi belajar, Pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Pendidikan sains di sekolah dasar seringkali sulit untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang ide-ide dan meningkatkan keinginan mereka untuk belajar. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh media video animasi dalam pembelajaran IPA terhadap pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dari berbagai jurnal yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media video animasi memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan tampilan visual yang menarik, media ini dapat mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi yang bersifat abstrak serta meningkatkan minat mereka dalam belajar.Kata kunci: Media Video Animasi, Pemahaman Konsep, Motivasi Belajar, Pembelajaran IPA, Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Penggunaan Bahasa daerah berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis dampak dari penggunaan Bahasa daerah terhadap keterampilan berbicara, meunulis, dan membaca Bahasa Indonesia di SD 100680 Paolan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui obeservasi dan wawancara dengan guru dan siswa di SD 100680 Paolan. Di sekolah tersebut lebih dominan menggunakan Bahasa daerah dengan persantase sebanyak 50% siswa. Siswa-siswa tersebut mengalami kesulitan dalam tata Bahasa, pelafalan dan struktur kalimat dlam Bahasa Indonesia. Namun, dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan beberapa strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mengatasi kesulitan tersebut seperti penerapan program bilingual, kolaborasi orang tua dan pihak sekolah dan sebagainya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu membantu siswa dan guru yang berada dalam lingkungan bilingual dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia.Kata kunci :Bahasa daerah, kemampuan berbahasa, sekolah dasar, bilingualism, strategi pembelajaran

Abstract

This study was motivated by the need to understand the impact of changing the education curriculum on elementary school students. Curriculum changes often pose challenges in their implementation, especially in terms of literacy in elementary school students. In addition, there are factors that influence student literacy such as the change from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum, lack of support and attention from parents to students, and support from student schools. The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of changing the education curriculum on elementary school students. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a literature study design. The literature review was conducted by examining information collected from primary and secondary data sources, including citing relevant references. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the independent curriculum also raises concerns about students' basic skills, especially in terms of reading because many students in Indonesia have difficulty reading, which can have a negative impact on their learning achievement in the future. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to contribute to the understanding and implementation of the independent curriculum in children's literacy

Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan berperan penting dalam mendukung transformasi pendidikan di era digital, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas interaksi belajar antara guru dan siswa. Salah satu inovasi yang menonjol adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran digital yang interaktif dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis digital dengan platform Wordwall di sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahap Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Pada tahap implementasi, media diuji untuk menilai kelayakan dan efektivitasnya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media Wordwall yang dikembangkan valid menurut para ahli dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Media ini terbukti mendukung pemahaman konsep matematika secara lebih menyenangkan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran serta mendorong guru untuk terus berinovasi menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif, kreatif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman.
