Model development was carried out through literature reviews, focus group discussions (FGDs) with experts in Education Administration and Management, and field data collection through closed questionnaires. The model testing stage involved testing indicators and FGDs with practitioners and associations of school principals and supervisors to validate the school management health indicators. The research was conducted in 36 middle schools (both public and private) in Cimahi City, West Java Province, with respondents including school principals, teacher representatives, school committee chairs, administrative staff representatives, and student representatives. The research results can predict an increase or decrease in school quality through the health of the six school management functions by 73.5%, with the remaining 26.5% determined by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze teachers' perceptions of the integration of the Kasepuhan local wisdom into school curricula. Using a survey method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to schoolteachers to evaluate their knowledge of the Kasepuhan cultural values, the extent of integrating these values into teaching practices, and the challenges encountered in implementing local wisdom-based education. The study also examined curriculum development, assessments, teacher competence, teaching materials, learning media, and community involvement. The results revealed that while 35% of teachers know Kasepuhan values, only 13.33% believe these values are applied in schools. A significant number (40%) indicated the need for curriculum adjustments to reflect local culture better, while 70% reported that local wisdom-based assessment criteria had not been optimally implemented. Furthermore, the study concludes that although teachers recognize the importance of integrating Kasepuhan wisdom, challenges such as insufficient resources, lack of training, and limited school facilities hinder its implementation.

Abstract

This research explores the experiences of marginalization among teachers in Indonesia, focusing on the exclusion from decision-making, lack of professional recognition, and limited growth opportunities. Using qualitative interviews with 18 teachers, data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method. The findings reveal that teachers face systematic exclusion in policy formulation and decision-making processes, a lack of recognition for their contributions, and restricted opportunities for professional development. The research highlights the role of educational planning as a potential solution to mitigate these issues by fostering a more inclusive, collaborative, and responsive educational system. The research advocates for a paradigm shift in educational planning to address the systemic inequities that contribute to the marginalization of teachers, emphasizing the importance of involving educators in decision-making processes and professional development programs.

Abstract

This research attempted to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy of the Kampus Mengajar program and its improvement strategies based on the Edward III approach. This qualitative research was conducted through an exploratory approach. The authors chose the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, as the object of this research, with students, partner institutions, and university MBKM managers as the unit of analysis. Data analysis was carried out using NVivo 12 software based on the variables and indicators that had been prepared. The results indicate that communication has a significant role in program implementation. Communication patterns in the policy context must meet the aspects of information transmission, clarity of information, and consistency of information, where the policies communicated implications must be precise, accurate, and consistent so that decision-makers and implementers are more consistent in implementing.
