Abstract

This research aims to uncover the transformation of the students paradigm in Islamic education through the utilization of Artificial Intelligence. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach, relying on literature review as an effective research method in achieving the research objectives. Data collection was conducted systematically and structured through literature analysis focused on the transformation of the students paradigm in Islamic education through the use of Artificial Intelligence. Data analysis was conducted using modified analytical induction techniques to ensure a comprehensive and structured picture, so that the findings are accurate and avoid subjectivity bias.         The results of this study describe the transformation of the students paradigm in Islamic education through the use of Artificial Intelligence which can be divided into students models as recipients, collaborators, and leaders. Students as recipients are responsible for responding to predetermined knowledge sequences, following procedures and learning paths, and carrying out learning activities through the use of Artificial Intelligence to achieve predetermined goals. Students as collaborators interact with the Artificial Intelligence system to achieve better and more efficient learning. Meanwhile, students as leaders take the role of controllers to become leaders in their own learning process, manage the risk of Artificial Intelligence decision automation, and develop better and more efficient learning.

Abstract

The intricate relationship between science and religion has long been a provocative subject of discussion among scholars in higher education. In recent years, the pursuit of integrating these two seemingly disparate fields has emerged as a pivotal approach for universities aiming to evolve into more holistic institutions across diverse scientific disciplines. UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang in Indonesia and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) are prominent examples of this integration paradigm. This research aims to explore how UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and IIUM students perceive the interplay between science and religion, particularly in the context of their classroom experiences. Employing a quantitative methodology, this study utilizes a comparative descriptive approach alongside a case study strategy to gather insights. Findings from the research reveal a remarkable consensus among students from both universities. They overwhelmingly agree that a dialogical and integrative typology characterizes the relationship between science and religion. This shared perception underscores a mutual understanding of the relevance and interconnectedness between these two fields. Furthermore, students strongly affirm the effective incorporation of this integration within their classroom learning environments. Such a consensus not only recognizes the relationship but also suggests a positive influence on their educational experiences, reinforcing the idea that the synergy between science and religion can profoundly enrich academic pursuits.

Abstract

Strengthening national character is vital to the quality of a generation. The government needs to establish character education policies that are relevant to be put into practice today. The independent curriculum offers a simpler and more ideal educational concept that places teachers and students as subjects in learning activities. This research aimed to study whether the independent curriculum facilitates the strengthening national character, and to what extent. This research was conducted using the library method through a qualitative approach, with the data analysis done by means of content analysis techniques. Research findings show that the character strengthening strategy in the Merdeka curriculum is contained in the Pancasila Student Profile concept with a series of curriculum policies including the educational ecosystem, teachers, pedagogy, curriculum and assessment systems. Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile is actualized in students' daily lives through school culture, intracurricular learning, Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5), and interest and talent development activities (extracurricular). Meanwhile, the values contained in the Pancasila Student Profile include faith and devotion to God Almighty, noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity.

Abstract

This research examines the role of majlis taklim in Islamic religious learning for migrants in Ternate City, focusing on applying the andragogy approach. Majelis Taklim serves as an informal space to strengthen the spiritual identity of migrants separated from their home environment. Through participatory and experiential approaches, majlis tackle provides flexibility in learning that allows the congregation to understand Islamic teachings applicable to daily life. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques in the study include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to collect data from several taklim assemblies in Ternate City, namely Majelis Taklim Walisongo, Jum'at Wage, Lailatul Iltima', and Jawara. The research findings indicate that majelis taklim are instrumental in preserving the religious identity of migrants, enhancing social connections, and offering worshipers the chance to deepen their spiritual understanding of the challenges they face in their lives. While this study focuses on a limited number of majelis taklims in Ternate City, the results contribute to the broader comprehension of experiential Islamic learning within migrant communities. Keywords:   Andragogy, Islamic Religious Learning, Majelis Taklim, Migrants, Religious Identity.
