Abstract

This article explores the impacts of competency enhancement strategies and effective communication on organisational performance by applying the Theory of Work Competence. The research aims to analyse both the direct and indirect influence of improving work competence and effective communication in an organisational setting. A quantitative approach was employed, utilising questionnaires distributed to organisational employees, and data was analysed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that both competency enhancement strategies and effective communication have a significant positive effect on organisational performance, both individually and simultaneously. Employees who possess more competence and engage in effective communication demonstrate improved performance, contributing to the achievement of organisational goals. The study concludes that developing work competencies and fostering effective communication are key drivers of organisational success. It is recommended that organisations implement continuous training programmes and establish open communication channels to sustain and further enhance their performance. Future research should consider additional factors, such as leadership style and organisational culture, to provide a more comprehensive understanding of performance improvementss.

Abstract

Food price stability is a fundamental pillar in maintaining national food security and public purchasing power. This study aims to analyze the effect of food distribution on service performance, with price stabilization acting as a mediating variable in Southwest Papua Province. The primary issues in food distribution commonly involve extended supply chains, uneven stock allocation, and logistical disruptions, which often trigger price volatility. The analysis of relationships among variables was conducted to examine both direct and indirect effects between constructs in the research model. The model was designed to explain the role of direct and indirect distribution in influencing price stability and service performance, either directly or through a mediating mechanism. Overall, the findings indicate that the optimization of food distribution, price stability, and employee service performance constitute an integrated and interrelated system in efforts to maintain food security. The results further demonstrate that price stability plays a strategic role as a mediator in the relationship between food distribution and employee service performance. Distribution optimization oriented toward price stability provides dual benefits, namely safeguarding community welfare while enhancing the quality of public services in Southwest Papua Province.

Abstract

This research was conducted on school teachers in Kokoda District, Tarof Village, South Sorong with the approach of learning media variables, reading interest and teacher performance. From the results of the research and test results with a multiple linear regression approach, the results of learning media and reading interest simultaneously influence teacher performance, while in the T test learning media does not significantly influence teacher performance and reading media significantly influences teacher performance. From the results of the moderation test, it was found that learning strategies do not moderate reading interest, while the most dominant variable influencing teacher performance is learning media. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of research on the influence of learning media and reading interest on teacher performance with learning strategies as a moderating variable in Kokoda District, Tarof Village, South Sorong, several important things can be concluded. First, learning media and reading interest simultaneously have been shown to have a significant effect on teacher performance. This finding shows that teacher performance is the result of synergy between external factors in the form of the availability and utilization of learning media and internal factors in the form of teacher reading interest. The combination of these two variables is able to create a more effective and professional learning process.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores how financial behavior influences capital structure decisions and, in turn, affects firm financial performance and sustainable business growth among micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Indonesia. Drawing on behavioral finance theory, the study examines the effects of three antecedents, financial literacy, risk tolerance, and behavioral biases on capital structure decisions. Furthermore, it investigates the mediating roles of access to finance and financial planning behavior, and the outcome effect of financial performance on long-term business growth. Method:Data was gathered from 420 MSE owner-managers across a variety of Indonesian sectors using a standardized questionnaire. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine the data. Findings: Results revealed that all three behavioral antecedents significantly influenced capital structure decisions. Capital structure, in turn, had both direct and indirect effects on firm financial performance, mediated through improved financial access and planning. Moreover, financial performance was found to positively influence sustainable business growth. Novelty/Value:By relating behavioral characteristics to organizational outcomes and financial decision-making in the setting of an emerging economy, the study adds to the body of literature. Targeted financial education and behavioral interventions are necessary to improve financing results for MSEs, among other practical implications.
