Abstract

Cognitive ability is one aspect that is very important to develop because children can think, understand, and explore the things that are around them. Through good cognitive abilities children can also solve all the problems they face, and it will be a provision for children as adults. One of the things that can be used to develop these abilities is through geometry media, where the media teaches various forms of basic patterns. Activities that can be done with geometry media include classifying, recognizing shapes, sizes, and patterns that can be applied in everyday life. This research uses the Literature Review method and is included in qualitative research, where researchers do not go to the field to collect data. The results showed: 1) Early childhood is a time when children are sensitive to various kinds of stimuli in their environment. High curiosity and developmental aspects that must be maximally improved need to be facilitated properly; 2) Children's cognitive abilities can be improved through the use of geometry media in classroom learning activities. Through a variety of games designed according to the needs of child development then cognitive abilities of children can develop well and maximally; 3) The use of geometry media in learning can develop children's cognitive abilities among them.

Abstract

Bercerita pada anak memiliki peranan penting bukan hanya menumbuhkan kreativitas anak, tetapi juga dalam mengembangkan bahasa dan sikap sosial anak. Kegiatan bercerita harus ditunjang dengan media pembelajaran yang menarik agar anak tertarik dan tidak mudah bosan, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan media bergambar. Penggunaan media buku bergambar saat bercerita, dapat dikatakan anak telah melakukan permainan simbolik, yang memiliki fungsi untuk memberikan kesenangan dan autotelisme dan seperti citra mental dalam upayanya yang meniru kenyataan Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran pada kegiatan bercerita anak usia 5 tahun di SPS Mutiara Hati, Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 orang guru dan 4 anak dari 20 pulasi yang ada.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang permasalahan pola asuh yang dilakukan oleh orang tua dalam keluarga. Kebiasaan orang tua, ayah dan ibu, pola asuh orang tua yang bekerja, pengasuhan oleh kakek dan nenek dalam membimbing, mengasuh, dan memimpin anak dalam keluarga. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi karakteristik pola asuh yang beragam yang diterapkan oleh orang tua pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka, yang melibatkan pengumpulan dan analisis sumber ilmiah dari tahun 2019 hingga 2023 melalui buku cetak, Google Scholar, Science Direct, dan APA. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh orang tua dipengaruhi oleh berbagai factor seperti kebiasaan orang tua, adat, pernikahan dini, dan lain sebagainya. Dampaknya langsung terlihat pada karakteristik dan pembentukan kepribadian anak. Penelitian ini tidak hanya memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang pola asuh tetapi juga memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang dinamika keluarga dalam membentuk karakter anak. Abstract

This research has a background in parenting problems carried out by parents in the family. Habits of parents, fathers and mothers, parenting patterns of working parents, parenting by grandparents in guiding, nurturing and leading children in the family. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics and parenting patterns carried out by parents in various situations in early childhood. The research method used is a literature review method which is carried out by collecting and reviewing scientific sources. Articles taken from 2019-2023 with the help of printed books, Google Scholar, Science Direct and APA. The results of the analysis show that parents' parenting patterns are influenced by various factors such as parental habits, customs, early marriage, and so on. This has a direct impact on the characteristics and personality formation of children.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the TikTok application on the moral development of children aged 5-6 years at AL - IKHLAS Kindergarten, Kademangan District. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation analysis, interviews and documentation. The respondents in this study were three parents of students aged 5-6 years at TK AL – IKHLAS, Kademangan District. The research results show that the use of the social media platform TikTok has an important influence on children's moral development. Changes in behavior in early childhood caused by watching TikTok videos that involve deviations from the religious and moral values ​​taught at AL – IKHLAS Kindergarten, Kademangan District. Even though there are positive impacts such as increasing knowledge and increasing children's brain concentration, negative impacts also occur after watching videos on the TikTok application. Children easily imitate the style of adults on TikTok, use harsh language, and commit inappropriate actions as a result of watching TikTok content. This negative impact also spreads to learning activities at school. Therefore, it is important for parents to accompany their children when watching TikTok videos so that the videos their children watch can be directed towards watching positive videos. Abstract

The low cognitive abilities of children at RA Tarbiyatul Ihsan regarding color recognition are indicated by their inability to group colors and match objects according to color, count/number and show number symbols. This is caused by the lack of interest in the media used by teachers in learning. Therefore, researchers intend to improve children's cognitive abilities through the game Dice Dance and Bola Blast in group B RA Tarbiyatul Ihsan Sumberasih. This research used the Class Action Research (PTK) method which was conducted on group B, totaling 15 students in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. This research was conducted from December 2023 to January 2024. Data collection techniques used tests, interviews and observation. Done in 2 cycles. Each cycle is held in 3 meetings. This research was preceded by a pre-cycle, with a percentage of 32%, cycle I experienced an increase with a percentage of 52% and cycle II experienced an increase of 78.66%. It was concluded based on research that the Dice Dance and Ball Blast games can improve the cognitive abilities of group B children to improve children's development in recognizing colors, grouping and matching objects according to color, counting/counting and showing number symbols. Abstract

The aim of the research is to be able to improve children's speaking skills through the media of hand puppets for children aged 4-5 years. The research was conducted at RA Hidayat which is located in RA Hidayat, Kanigaran, Probolinggi, Jawa Timur. The research method is PTK (Classroom Action Research) 2 cycles which includes students at RA Hidayat. The object of research is the ability to speak children. Data collection was carried out through observation techniques, interviews, as well as documentation where data analysis was carried out through qualitative descriptive. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' speaking skills after the practice of playing hand puppet media. The yield from the initial study was 31%; after the implementation of the action cycle I showed an increase in speaking ability by 59%; and finally, the results of the implementation of the second cycle of action showed an increase in speaking ability by 74%. In cycle I and cycle II, there was an increase in the child's ability to speak. Thus, learning and games through the media of hand puppets are effectively applied in pre-schools such as TK/RA in an effort to strengthen children's speaking skills. Abstract

This research aims to determine the contribution of the intensity of playing online games and the supervision of both working parents towards the child's religiosity in MAN 2 Probolinggo. There were 100 students of MAN 2 Probolinggo used as the samples. This study used purposive sampling technique with some criteria. In testing the hypothesis, the researcher utilized regression analysis techniques. The method of data collection was through questionnaires given to respondents. Based on the results of data analysis using logistic regression, it can be seen that the partial influence of the intensity of playing online games showed significance value of 0.000, which was smaller than 0.05, and the supervision of both working parents generated its significance value of 0.000 (smaller than 0.05) towards the religiosity of the child. These results indicate that there is influence of the intensity of playing online games and the supervision of both working parents towards the religiosity of the child in MAN 2 Probolinggo.

Abstract

Kreativitas adalah elemen penting yang perlu dikembangkan sejak dini untuk mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan adaptasi terhadap tantangan. Metode STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) menghadirkan pendekatan interdisipliner yang mendorong eksplorasi dan inovasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi strategi guru dalam menerapkan metode STEAM untuk mengembangkan kreativitas anak di RA Darul Hidayah Pohsangit Kidul. Metode ini mengintegrasikan sains, teknologi, rekayasa, seni, dan matematika untuk memberikan peluang kepada anak-anak dalam mengeksplorasi berbagai konsep dan ide secara praktis dan holistik. Penelitian di RA Darul Hidayah menunjukkan metode STEAM efektif meningkatkan kreativitas anak. Proyek mencampur warna, membangun jembatan, membuat gunung berapi. Anak lebih kritis, inovatif, percaya diri. Guru fasilitator kreatif, menghadapi keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi, dan pelatihan tambahan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Indikator kreativitas meliputi fleksibilitas, orisinalitas, fluensi, elaborasi, serta keterbukaan terhadap pengalaman baru. Penerapan metode STEAM mampu meningkatkan kreativitas anak usia 4-5 tahun secara signifikan. Aktivitas pembelajaran mendorong anak berpikir kritis, menemukan solusi kreatif, serta mengintegrasikan konsep dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Anak tidak hanya belajar secara teoretis, tetapi juga secara praktis melalui aktivitas interaktif yang melatih kemampuan analitis. Pendekatan ini memperkaya pengalaman belajar anak sekaligus mengasah kemampuan mereka untuk berinovasi.

Abstract

Character education from an early age is an important foundation in shaping children's attitudes and Character education from an early age is an important foundation in shaping children's attitudes and behaviors, which will affect their future development. Through extracurricular activities, children can hone their potential, talents and interests while building an independent and happy attitude that has a positive impact on themselves, their families and society. One extracurricular activity that is effective in character education is Hizbul Wathan Scouting. The purpose of this study was to investigate how Hizbul Wathan Scouting activities affect the character development of five- to six-year-old children attending 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal I Kindergarten in Probolinggo City. Thirty children were divided into two groups for this study, namely the experimental group and the control group, using an experimental approach using a pre-test post-test design on the control group. For eight weeks, from September to October 2024, the experimental group participated in Hizbul Wathan activities. The character assessment used a rubric that included aspects of independence, discipline, honesty, cooperation, and respect. A significant value (2-tailed) of 0.00 < 0.05 was found in the results of data analysis using the t-test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, indicating that Hizbul Wathan activities have a beneficial impact on early childhood character education.
