Abstract

Education for children starts from family because it will determine the character of children in adolescence. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of democratic parenting in building emotional intelligence and religiosity in adolescents. Because without parental guidance the child will experience deviations in the daily behavior. The research subject was in Kramatagung Village, Bantaran District, Probolinggo. In this case, the researcher used descriptive qualitative methods. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used in the data collection techniques and to analyze the data the researcher used data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions techniques. This research showed that the emotional intelligence and religiosity of adolescents in Kramatagung village are categorized as poor, but parents in implementing parenting styles for children in Kramatagung village are quite democratic. Furthermore, based on research it is known that the emotional intelligence and reliability of adolescents in the Kramatagung village are quite an apprehension. The adolescents who are emotionally intelligent and have good religious intelligence are educated by applying democratic parenting. It is the duty of parents to educate, guide, nurture, and always remind also advise the children not to be trapped by world life which increasingly shows freedom in an association. Guidance and education especially in the family are top priorities in addition to other education outside the home

Abstract

Artikel ini menguraikan pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mencegah tindak kekerasan dan bullying di lingkungan Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Kota Probolinggo melalui pendekatan kreatif berupa media poster komik. Program ini bertujuan untuk membentuk tim khusus pencegahan kekerasan dan bullying di setiap RA, meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pencegahan tindak kekerasan, serta mendorong perubahan perilaku positif pada anak terkait kekerasan dan bullying. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari guru, anak, serta pihak terkait seperti Dinas Pendidikan, Kementerian Agama, dan lembaga pelayanan psikologi. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai pencegahan kekerasan, terbentuknya tim pencegahan kekerasan di setiap RA, serta pengembangan media edukasi berupa poster komik yang efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan moral kepada anak-anak mengenai pentingnya hidup rukun, saling menghargai, dan menghindari kekerasan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang aman dan mendukung tumbuh kembang anak, serta menjadi model bagi pelaksanaan program serupa di masa mendatang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Early childhood independence is an important aspect in child development that must be formed early on so that children are able to develop their ability to think, act, and make decisions independently. This study aims to determine the strategy for increasing early childhood independence through the story method at KB Dewi Sartika Probolinggo. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study were the Head of the Foundation, Principal, teachers, students, and guardians. The results of the study showed that the story method has proven effective as a learning strategy to foster values ​​of independence in early childhood, such as the habit of tidying up their own toys, wearing clothes without help, and making decisions in daily activities. Teachers at KB Dewi Sartika Probolinggo utilize stories with characters that reflect an independent attitude as a means of conveying moral messages that are easy for children to understand. In addition, the involvement of teachers in discussions after telling stories helps children internalize the values ​​conveyed. So that the story method becomes an interesting and educational strategy in increasing the independence of early childhood at KB Dewi Sartika Probolinggo.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop bigbook folklore media to improve the empathy and storytelling ability of early childhood, especially age 5-6 years. This research is research and development (R&D) using ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluate). Collecting data used interview guides, validation, observation sheets and teacher questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in this study used Independent t-test with a significance level of 0.05. Based on the results of the assessment experts showed that the product developed "very good". This shows that the bigbook media is appropriate to be used to increase empathy and storytelling skills of children aged 5-6 years. Based on the results of the study, there was a difference improvement of storytelling and empathy skills in the final outcomes between post treatment of the control group without bigbook media and post treatment of experimental group using bigbook media. The sig (2-tailed) value of the storytelling is 0,000 (very good) and empathy children received a sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 (very good). The result of this study that the bigbook media based on folklore is effectively used to increase empathy and storytelling skills of children aged 5-6 years.
