Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in improving the psychology and morals of class X students of Panca Budi College and to find out how to improve the morals of class X students of Panca Budi College. (3) Inhibiting factors in improving the morals of students of X Panca Budi college. This research type is strati- tative with direct observation and data retrieval at the research site and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Etnis Banjar berasal dari Kalimantan Selatan. populasi etnis Banjar juga dapat ditemukan di wilayah Riau, Jambi, Sumatera Utara. Seperti halnya etnis Banjar yang berada di Kota Rantang Kecamatan Hamparan Perak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kearifan lokal etnis Banjar di Desa Kota Rantang Hamparan Perak Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Selain itu, penelitian ini akan menganalisis peran Orang Tua Etnis Banjar dalam Membentuk Karakter pada Anak Melalui Kearifan Lokal di Desa Kota Rantang Hamparan Perak Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, sedangkan objek penelitian yang akan kami teliti adalah masyarakat etnis Banjar terhadap peran orang tua dalam membentuk karakter anak yang berada di Desa Kota Rantang Kecamatan Hamparan Perak Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa kearifan lokal seperti baayun mulud, tula bala asba' mustakmir dalam membentuk pendidikan karakter anak di Desa Kota Rantang untuk membentuk karakter religius, jujur, toleran, disiplin dan bertanggung jawab pada anak melalui tradisi baayun mulud, 2) peran orang tua sangat menentukan dalam keberhasilan anak dalam mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai yang ada di dalam kearifan lokal etnis Banjar yang ada di Desa Kota Rantang.

Abstract

Childhood is the most appropriate opportunity to educate various religious behaviors, including prayer education if the right methods and approaches are applied. Both parents are required to implement the commandments of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet as behavior and practice and continue to add to these sunnah practices as much as possible, because children will continue to supervise and imitate at all times. The child's ability to accept consciously or unconsciously is very high, beyond what we think, because we usually only see him as a small creature who does not understand and is not yet conscious. However, the reality is that awareness in carrying out prayers as a Muslim obligation is still very minimal among teenagers, especially rejama in Klambir V Kebun. This is problematic for parents to guide their children in increasing awareness of praying. To answer these problems, researchers are interested in conducting deeper research related to parental problems in guiding children to increase awareness of praying in Klambir V Village Kebun Deli Serdang. The results of the study: that there are several problems of parents in guiding children to increase awareness of worship in children in Klambir V Kebun village, namely: First) Electronic media such as TV, gadgets and others have a considerable share in association and examples of daily life. Many children neglect their prayers because of the preoccupation of watching TV and playing smartphones which are dominated by online game play. Second) Lack of parental attention, Parents who tend to be busy in their work affairs sometimes become less attentive to the condition of their children, the majority of parents are busy working from morning to evening, this causes the child to receive less supervision and attention. So if the child does not perform prayer, the parent will not know it. Third) Environment, children's play environment makes children lazy to perform prayers both at home and in the mosque because the majority of children are more interested in playing cellphones.

Abstract

This study explores the strategies for controlling emotions in early childhood through the implementation of play therapy. Emotional regulation is a critical aspect of a child's development, significantly impacting their social interactions and overall well-being. Play therapy, as an evidence-based intervention, provides a safe and structured environment for children to express their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and improve emotional intelligence. This research examines various play therapy techniques and their effectiveness in helping young children manage emotions such as anger, fear, and sadness. Through qualitative analysis, the study identifies key components of successful play therapy sessions, including the role of the therapist, the types of play activities used, and the outcomes observed in children's emotional behavior. The findings suggest that play therapy is a valuable tool for early childhood educators and therapists in promoting healthy emotional development, reducing behavioral issues, and enhancing children's ability to navigate complex emotional experiences. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the benefits of play therapy and underscores its importance in early childhood education and mental health practices.

Abstract

Parents are the first people who play a very big role in building a child's life. Parents are the initial social environment known to the child, the figures who determine the quality of a child's life, and the figures closest to him, both physically and psychologically. Therefore, parents must pay more attention to the parenting style given to children to shape character from an early age, so that after the child grows up, he will grow into a human being with the character that is expected. The aim of this research is to find out parenting patterns in the formation of Islamic character in early childhood through independent learning activities at Ra Al-Ikhlas Konggo, Deli Serdang Regency. Meanwhile, the benefit of this research is as a contribution of thought to help parents solve problems related to authoritarian parenting patterns in shaping the character of early childhood. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are that parents' parenting patterns have formed the character of early childhood, and the parenting pattern applied is a democratic parenting pattern, because a democratic parenting style pays attention to and respects children's freedom. Factors that influence the development of children's Islamic character formation include internal and external factors.

Abstract

The readiness of children to begin formal schooling is a critical factor in their educational journey, impacting their ability to adapt and succeed in a structured learning environment. This study aims to analyze the school readiness of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Ummul Habibah, located in Klambir V Kebon Village, Deli Serdang Regency. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research investigates various dimensions of school readiness, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Data were collected through observations, structured interviews with educators and parents, and assessments of children's developmental milestones. The findings indicate that while a majority of the children demonstrate adequate cognitive and language skills, there are notable variances in social-emotional readiness and physical development. Factors influencing these variances include family background, early childhood education experiences, and parental involvement. The study underscores the importance of comprehensive early childhood programs that address all aspects of school readiness and suggests targeted interventions to support areas where children are less prepared. The results provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in enhancing early childhood education strategies to ensure all children are equipped for the transition to formal schooling.

Abstract

Numerous scientific disciplines have focused a great deal of study attention on parenting. The way a parent interacts with their child in various circumstances is reflected in their parenting style. The range of parenting styles includes authoritative, permissive, authoritarian, and neglectful approaches, and each has a unique effect on the social, emotional, and cognitive development of a child. This study tried to prove how parenting styles can either promote emotional intelligence, resilience, and self-worth, or they can cause behavioral problems, psychological discomfort, and a decline in social functioning. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. It was done in Al Ikhlas Konggo kindergarten with documentation, interviews, and observation as data collection technique. This study employed the three-pronged approach to data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman. This research results found that parenting style in shaping the character of early childhood based on the value of politeness and courtesy has mostly been done well, namely by giving direction, advice, and giving good examples to children so that they always behave well so that someday children will become human beings with Islamic character. In addition, what dominates the parenting styles of parents whose children attend Al-Ikhlas Konggo Kindergarten is democratic parenting.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini didasari dengan rendahnya kemampuan kogitif anak usia dini yang ada di PAUD Ummul Habibah Kelambir V Medan. Factor penyebab nya ialah kurang menariknya media pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru, sehingga anak bosan dan jenuh setiap kali diadakan proses pembelajaran, yang akibatnya perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini yang ada di PAUD Ummul Habibah Kelambir V Medan sangat rendah. Teori bruner adalah salah satu teori belajar yang lebih menekankan pada perkembangan kognitif anak, perkembangan kognitif anak merupakan kemampuan yang salah satunya ialah mengelompokkan benda yang mempunyai persamaan warna, bentuk dan ukuran, mencocokkan lingkaran, segitiga, dan segi empat serta mengenal dan menghitung angka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perkembang kognitif melalui permainan tradisional sebagai salah satu media untuk menstimulisi perkembangan anak, khususnya anak usia dini yang ada di PAUD Ummul Habibah Kelambir V Medan. Metodelogi dalam penelitian ini ialah penelitian tindakan kelas {Classroom Action Research }yang menggunakan dua siklus, yakni siklus satu dan siklus dua. Masing-masing dari siklus melakukan dua kali pertemuan kepada anak dengan menggunakan media permainan tradisional. Begitu juga dengan siklus dua terdapat dua kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan media permainan tradisional yang sudah disiapkan oleh tim peneliti. Dengan hasil persentase meningkatan diketahui dari sebelum tindakan Pada indikator Penilaian Belum Berkembang 80%, Peningkatan naik Pada tindakan siklus 1 Pertemuan 1 indikator penilaian Pada BB {belum berkembang} sudah menurun menjadi 15%, Pada indikator Penilaian MB {mulai berkembang} 15%, BSH {berkembang sesuai harapan} naik menjadi 35% dan ada indikator Penilaian Perkembangan BSB {berkembang sangat baik} naik menjadi 35%. Pertemuan 2 masih Pada siklus 1 Pada indikator penilaian BB {belum berkembang} 10%, Pada indikator Penilaian MB {mulai berkembang} 10%, BSH {berkembang sesuai harapan} naik menjadi 40% dan pada indikator penilaian perkembangan BSB {berkembang sangat baik} naik menjadi 40%.Kata Kunci: Permainan Tradisional, teori Bruner

Abstract

This study explores the role of parents in providing nutritious food to prevent stunting in early childhood. Stunting, a condition caused by chronic malnutrition, affects children's growth, cognitive development, and overall health. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes findings from various scholarly sources to examine parental involvement in ensuring a balanced diet. The results highlight that parents, especially mothers, play a crucial role as educators, facilitators, and role models in children's nutrition. Providing a balanced diet rich in carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, as well as promoting healthy eating habits, is essential in preventing stunting. Additionally, parents should actively monitor children's growth through posyandu (community health services) and engage in nutrition education programs. The study concludes that strong parental awareness and commitment significantly contribute to reducing stunting rates. Future research should focus on effective interventions and policies to enhance parental participation in early childhood nutrition.

Abstract

The title of this research is "The Role of Teachers in Enhancing Early Childhood Learning Interest." The purpose of this study is to explain how teachers contribute to increasing students' interest in learning. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The population in this study is referred to as a social situation, consisting of teachers and the school principal. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis. The research findings conclude that the teacher's role in increasing students' learning interest consists of three roles: innovator, facilitator, and motivator. As an innovator, the teacher continuously introduces new innovations in the learning process, specifically by implementing the dramatization method. Dramatization is an innovative learning method that can enhance students' interest in learning. As a facilitator, the teacher provides learning materials for students, helping to improve their learning interest. As a motivator, the teacher encourages students to engage in learning, fostering a strong and high level of learning interest.
