Abstract

To support business growth and continuity, it is important to understand the influence of competitive advantage through product innovation and product quality. This research uses quantitative methods to explore competitive advantage which is influenced by product innovation and product quality implemented by IGI Restaurant. In this research, data was collected through surveys and statistical analysis to identify the relationship between product innovation and product quality on competitive advantage. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the innovation and product quality of IGI Restaurant have a positive impact on achieving competitive advantage with the regression coefficient value of product innovation on competitive advantage has a positive value. The regression coefficient value of the product quality variable on competitive advantage also has a positive value. This research provides strong quantitative support for the effectiveness of achieving competitive advantage through product innovation and product quality implemented by IGI Restaurant. These findings can be a basis for other culinary business players to make decisions in developing product innovation and product quality.

Abstract

Background: As Indonesia's economy is increasingly driven by youth entrepreneurship and innovation, it requires examination of cultural factors and government support to foster entrepreneurial spirit among young people.Purpose: This research empirically investigates the relationship between long-term orientation, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance and how these factors influence the entrepreneurial orientation of young individuals in Bandar Lampung, with the perception of government regulations playing a mediating role. Design/methodology/approach: The study used a quantitative research approach, employing Structural Equation Modeling. The sample consisted of 200 respondents, young entrepreneurs from Bandar Lampung, selected through a simple random sampling method. The analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with the Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) technique. Findings/Result: The study found that long-term orientation significantly impacts entrepreneurial orientation. Additionally, it found that power distance and uncertainty avoidance are significant factors in shaping entrepreneurial orientation. Testing the mediating effect of the perception of government regulations indicates a significant role in the relationship between the independent variables and entrepreneurial orientation. The findings of this research indicate that the entrepreneurial mindset of the young generation in Indonesia is moderately influenced by a well-organized environment. Conclusion: The findings underscore the importance of a supportive regulatory environment in fostering entrepreneurial mindset among the youth, prompting policymakers to focus on enhancing regulations to incentivize innovation and streamline procedures for young entrepreneurs.Originality/value (State of the art): The originality of this research lies in its exploration of the interplay between cultural dimensions and government regulations on entrepreneurial orientation, which contributes to the understanding of how socio-cultural factors and regulatory perceptions influence entrepreneurial behavior in emerging economies. Abstract

This research seeks to analyze the influence of service quality and corporate image on customer satisfaction at Achmad Motor Workshop. The study is grounded in the growing number of motorcycle users, which increases the demand for high-standard workshop services and a strong company image to foster customer loyalty. A quantitative method was applied, employing a random sampling technique involving 100 customers of Achmad Motor Workshop during the period of January 2 to 8, 2025. Data were gathered through questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results reveal that both service quality and corporate image significantly and positively impact customer satisfaction, both individually and collectively. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.917 suggests that 91.7% of customer satisfaction variation is attributable to these two factors. It is evident that corporate image plays a more prominent role than service quality in enhancing customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that prioritizing brand image and consistently improving service delivery should be central to Achmad Motor Workshop’s growth strategy.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of digital marketing strategies and brand trust on purchasing decisions at the Rodeo Rajanya Kandang store. This research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing SPSS software as a data analysis tool. To assess data quality, validity and reliability tests were conducted, followed by a series of classical assumption tests: normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a t-test, followed by a coefficient of determination analysis. This study involved 100 respondents, with the entire population being sampled using a saturated sampling technique. Data processing revealed that digital marketing strategies and brand trust have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions at the Rodeo Rajanya Kandang store.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi keuangan di kalangan mahasiswa Indonesia, khususnya terkait pemahaman pasar modal, menjadi masalah mendesak yang dapat menghambat terbentuknya generasi muda yang cerdas secara finansial dan siap berpartisipasi dalam sektor investasi. Urgensi ini semakin nyata ketika sebagian besar mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen Universitas Bandar Lampung yang mengambil mata kuliah Pasar Uang dan Pasar Modal hanya memahami konsep dasar secara teoritis, tetapi kurang memiliki pengalaman praktis dalam berinvestasi. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap instrumen investasi, manajemen risiko, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dalam transaksi pasar modal. Untuk menjawab kebutuhan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang melalui fasilitasi kuliah tamu dan pelatihan praktis bersama Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Provinsi Lampung dan Indo Premier Sekuritas (IPOT). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi ceramah interaktif, diskusi, serta simulasi praktik menggunakan aplikasi IPOT yang menghubungkan teori pembelajaran dengan praktik industri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan literasi keuangan mahasiswa, terbukti dari kenaikan nilai rata-rata pre-test (54,6) menjadi post-test (81,6), atau meningkat sebesar 49,45%. Peningkatan terbesar terjadi pada penguasaan aplikasi IPOT (72,92%), diikuti pemahaman mekanisme transaksi dan identifikasi profil risiko. Selain itu, 85% peserta menyatakan minat untuk membuka rekening saham setelah pelatihan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa kolaborasi perguruan tinggi dengan praktisi pasar modal efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi keuangan mahasiswa dan memotivasi mereka untuk berinvestasi secara bijak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan jiwa kewirausahaan terhadap keberhasilan usaha pada UMKM kuliner di Jalan Purnawirawan Raya, Kota Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data primer yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner dari 57 responden, yang dipilih menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan margin kesalahan 5%. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan jiwa kewirausahaan, sedangkan keberhasilan usaha menjadi variabel terikat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan jiwa kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberhasilan usaha, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Pengetahuan kewirausahaan berkontribusi melalui peningkatan manajemen usaha, pemasaran, dan operasional, sementara jiwa kewirausahaan mendorong motivasi, kreativitas, dan kepemimpinan dalam menghadapi tantangan bisnis. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 49,5% menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan usaha dipengaruhi oleh kedua variabel tersebut, dengan sisanya dipengaruhi faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bahwa pengembangan pengetahuan dan jiwa kewirausahaan menjadi kunci keberhasilan UMKM, khususnya di sektor kuliner. Peneliti merekomendasikan pengembangan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan memperluas sampel dan menambahkan variabel lain yang relevan untuk memahami faktor keberhasilan UMKM secara komprehensif.

Abstract

Di tengah dinamika dengan semakin sengitnya persaingan pasar, perusahaan perlu berupaya terus meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi kinerja guna mempertahankan eksistensinya. Bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh antara motivasi kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada UD Fajar Laut Depo Tulang Bawang. Metode yang diterapkan adalah kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sampel mengimplementasikan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling sebanyak 33 responden. Teknik analisis digunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Analisis data meliputi uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, uji t, uji F, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil temuan, ditemukan jika motivasi kerja dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan dan berkontribusi terhadap kinerja karyawan baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Temuan ini menekankan jika penguatan motivasi kerja dan pembentukan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung adalah strategi penting yang dapat diterapkan perusahaan untuk mendorong produktivitas dan kinerja karyawan secara optimal.

Abstract

Purpose: This study reviews Quality Management Systems (QMS) in higher education, examining key concepts, implementation models, impacts, and challenges. It highlights leadership, accreditation, technology, and quality culture as critical success factors and shows how globalization and digital transformation shape accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Methodology/Approach: A qualitative descriptive approach was used through a literature review of 11 Scopus-indexed journals, identified via Publish or Perish with keywords “quality management system in higher education.” The thematic synthesis identified and interpreted the core themes. Results/Findings: The findings show that models such as ISO 9001, TQM, and EFQM are widely adopted and aligned with continuous improvement cycles such as PPEPP. An effective QMS enhances the quality of learning, reputation, and employability. Success depends on leadership commitment, stakeholder engagement and contextual adaptability. Bridging theory and practice is essential for sustainable improvements. Conclusions: Quality management systems in higher education face challenges from diverse stakeholder demands, weak implementation, and limited alignment with ISO 21001:2018. Policies without strong leadership and continuous evaluation are inadequate. TQM offers a comprehensive, evidence-based framework that strengthens the QMS and supports digital integration, engagement, sustainability, and global competitiveness. Limitations: This study is limited to a literature review of 11 selected articles without primary data collection, which may be subject to search bias and researcher interpretation. Contributions: This study consolidates diverse QMS models into a strategic reference for university leaders and identifies research gaps, particularly in integrating advanced technologies such as AI and blockchain.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Creating Shared Value (CSV) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs at PT Len Industri (Persero), focusing on the SolarPump and SolarTree initiatives. By aligning societal and business objectives, these programs have demonstrated tangible impacts, including increased corporate revenue, enhanced employee performance, and improved public reputation. The SolarPump initiative addresses clean water scarcity in rural areas, while SolarTree provides urban communities with access to renewable energy solutions. The findings reveal that CSV not only enhances business value through market expansion and revenue growth but also improves employee motivation, skill development, and loyalty. This study concludes that CSV is a strategic approach capable of fostering sustainable development and corporate competitiveness, providing valuable insights for businesses seeking to integrate social impact with their core objectives

Abstract

This research aims to explore how strategic collaboration and intellectual capital can improve higher education performance and achieve competitive advantage. The main objective of this study is to identify the relationship between strategic collaboration, intellectual capital, and the performance of higher education institutions, as well as how these three elements can be used synergistically to achieve competitive advantage. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the population of all private universities (PTS) in the LLDikti II Region, which totals 197 private universities. The data analysis technique uses the Structural Equation Models (SEM) approach with the help of the SmartPLS program package. The results of the study show that strategic collaboration has a positive and significant impact on higher education performance. In addition, intellectual capital was also found to contribute significantly to improving the performance of the institution. The combination of strategic collaboration and intellectual capital resulted in a greater improvement in higher education performance compared to each element separately. These results show that institutions that adopt a collaborative approach and manage their intellectual capital will tend to have better performance and are able to compete more effectively in the global education market. Based on these findings, the study recommends that higher education institutions should increase their collaborative efforts, both inside and outside the institution, as well as invest in the development and management of intellectual capital.
