Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve elementary school students' literacy skills through the provision of innovative learning media, "Bidak Baca," at SD Inpres 138 Matawolot. This program is motivated by the low interest in reading and basic literacy skills among lower-grade students, which is further exacerbated by the lack of engaging and relevant learning media for their lives. To achieve this goal, the implementation method of this activity uses a participatory approach that involves several stages, namely needs observation, planning, media production, teacher training, and evaluation of the use of the provided media. The results of this activity indicate that the Bidak Baca media successfully increased student motivation and participation in reading activities. This media not only functions as an aid, but also helps teachers in creating a fun, active, and educational game-based literacy learning atmosphere. With this media, students not only learn to recognize letters and words, but also begin to build confidence in reading and discussing with their friends. In conclusion, the provision of Bidak Baca media is an effective and simple strategy to encourage the growth of a culture of literacy from an early age in elementary schools. Furthermore, this method can be easily replicated in other educational institutions, thus hopefully having a broader positive impact on improving literacy among students in various regions. Thus, this effort is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia and creating a smarter and more competitive generation in the future. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will develop a greater love of reading and make literacy an essential part of their daily lives.

This paper explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing decision-making processes within multinational corporations. The primary issue addressed is how AI can be integrated effectively across diverse global markets, considering factors like regulatory frameworks, cultural diversity, and market dynamics. The research proposes a framework for AI implementation that ensures both operational efficiency and ethical soundness. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys from key stakeholders in multinational corporations. Preliminary findings suggest that AI significantly improves decision-making speed and accuracy, particularly in data analysis, market trend prediction, and consumer behavior forecasting. However, challenges remain in adapting AI systems to various cultural and regulatory environments, highlighting the need for customization and local adjustments. This study contributes to understanding how AI can be applied more effectively and ethically across international markets, offering insights for future implementations in diverse business contexts.

Abstract

Since Sir Isaac Newton, positivist ways of knowing have dominated Society with the logic of modernity that makes people assume that science and technology (scientific knowledge) and local knowledge are an antinomy, where one negates the other. This study utilizes Pierre Bourdieu's conceptual-theoretical framework of Habitus, Capital, and Arena to define and analyze, and explain the attitudes of the Kajang Indigenous Community in Tana Toa towards cultural capital and educational institutions and further, how they interpret and view Education as an alternative to maintaining and preserving culture. 14 respondents who are Customary, Religious and Educational figures representing gender subjects determined by Purposive sampling techniques, were included as informants in the study. Our field findings provide strong evidence that the Kajang Community has adequate strategies and adaptation capabilities in maintaining and preserving the existence of their culture, creating a harmonious blend of local and formal knowledge.
