Abstract

Purpose: Stunting is a problem that currently requires special attention in Indonesia. The stunting rate in 2022 will drop to 21.6%, and for the future, the government has set a target of up to 14% in 2024. Rapid technological developments and freedom of expression on the internet produce review text data that can be analyzed for evaluation. This study analyzes the text data of Twitter users' reviews on stunting. The method used is a text-mining approach and topic modeling based on Latent Dirichlet Allocation.Design/methodology/approach: The methodology used in this study is Latent Dirichlet Allocation. The data was collected from twitter with the keyword 'stunting'. After, the data was cleaned and then modeled using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation.Findings/results: The results show that negative sentiment dominates by 60.6%, positive sentiment by 31.5%, and neutral by 7.9%. In addition, this research shows that 'children', 'decrease', 'number', 'prevention', and 'nutrition' are among the words that often appear on stunting.Originality/value/state of the art: This study uses the keyword stunting and analyzes it. Social media analytics show that the people of Indonesia are primarily aware of stunting. Also, the Latent Dirichlet Analysis can be used to create the model.

Abstract

Literacy in Indonesia is relatively low at 0.001 percent. Referring to literacy data from East Java Province, Bangkalan Regency has a level of reading interest (TGM) of 67,2. As a strategy to increase the literacy of school-aged users, the Department of Library and Archives Regency Bangkalan carried out several program stages. This research aims to find out how the communication strategy of the Bangkalan Regency Library and Archives Service improves the literacy of school age users. The method used in the research is a descriptive qualitative method by collecting observation data and in-depth interviews with staff, librarians and school age users. The results of this research indicate that to increase the literacy of school-age users at the Department of Library and Archives Regency Bangkalan, they have implemented a communication strategy which was analyzed using a five-step strategy model. Apart from that, specific strategies to increase literacy consist of 4 forms, namely Internal (Library Development Training and TPBIS Development), External (BangLabang, Kubiling, eBecah, Library Visits, Literacy Seminars, Selection of Literacy Ambassadors, and Storytelling Competitions), Digital (Social media management: Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, and TikTok), and Collaboration (Bangkalan Children's Forum and PT Gramedia).

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine parents' views on the animated children's film Lellobee City Farm which contains LGBT elements on the YouTube Kids platform. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through interviews with 7 informants from different backgrounds aged 20-43 years and who had children aged 2-5 years. The results of this research indicate that parents who believe that LGBT in the animated children's film Lellobee City Farm is inappropriate because the broadcast has a negative impact because broadcasting can affect children's mindset. However, parents with a lower educational background than other informants tend not to be aware of the presence of LGBT elements in their children's broadcasts because they are unable to recognize the symbols and signs related to LGBT. Technological developments make a lot of information or content containing LGBT elements easily accessible in the media. The existence of LGBT elements that have escaped broadcast on YouTube Kids makes parents increasingly wary and reduces users' trust in the platform.Abstrak:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan orang tua terhadap film animasi anak Lellobee City Farm yang mengandung unsur LGBT pada platform Youtube Kids. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terhadap 7 informan dari latar belakang yang berbeda dengan rentan usia 20-43 tahun dan memiliki anak usia 2-5 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua menganggap unsur LGBT dalam film animasi anak Lellobee City Farm merupakan hal yang tidak pantas karena tayangan tersebut berdampak negatif karena dikhawatirkan dapat berpengaruh pada pola pikir anak. Namun, orang tua dengan latar belakang pendidikan lebih rendah dibanding infoman lain cenderung tidak menyadari akan adanya unsur LGBT dalam tayangan anak tersebut karena tidak mampu mengenali simbol dan tanda yang berkaitan dengan LGBT. Perkembangan teknologi membuat banyak informasi atau konten yang memuat unsur LGBT mudah diakses di media. Adanya unsur LGBT yang lolos tayang di Youtube Kids membuat orang tua semakin waspada dan menurunkan kepercayaan pengguna terhadap platform tersebut.

Abstract

The Korean drama Twenty Five Twenty One raises the issue of mental health, namely the emotional crisis that occurs in the quarter century of human life in their 20s, experiencing doubts about the future. This research focuses on the representation of the quarter life crisis experienced by the character Baek Yi Jin, who plays the role of the firstborn boy in his early 20s in the midst of the 1998 South Korean economic crisis in the Korean drama Twenty Five Twenty One. The research method is descriptive qualitative using John Fiske's semiotic analysis model through the level of reality, level of representation and level of ideology. The results showed that the influence of the Confucian ideology of cultural heritage is still deeply rooted in South Korean society with a traditional emphasis on social status, hierarchy, the role of each individual in social relations placing the roles and demands of early adult individuals triggering a quarter life crisis represented through the problems faced by Baek Yi Jin's character around the relationship between family, friends, romance, dreams and hopes, self-identity, work and career and contains values related to the scope of the quarter life crisis problem.

Abstract

AbstractThe era of new media has revolutionized the way we communicate and access information through digital technology. Social media platforms like YouTube play a key role in digital culture by providing easy access for users to share videos. One type of content that has grown on YouTube is the web series, which is similar to TV shows but shorter in duration and divided into several episodes. Web series are now widely used as a communication strategy by many companies, including in Indonesia, which has great potential for development due to the high interest in YouTube. This study analyzes the representation of the value of integrity in the YouTube web series "Nurut Apa Kata Mama," produced by BCA, using John Fiske's semiotic approach. The web series is designed as both an educational tool and a branding strategy, showcasing corporate values such as integrity, teamwork, and customer focus. Through three levels of analysis—reality, representation, and ideology—this study finds that integrity is represented through several characters who demonstrate consistency between words and actions, honesty, and responsibility. This web series strengthens BCA’s corporate branding by presenting the company's identity as an entity that prioritizes integrity in all aspects.Keywords: Representation, Semiotics, Integrity, Corporate branding          Abstraksi Era new media telah merevolusi cara berkomunikasi dan mengakses informasi melalui teknologi digital. Platform media sosial seperti YouTube memainkan peran penting dalam budaya digital dengan menyediakan akses mudah bagi pengguna untuk berbagi video. Salah satu konten yang berkembang di YouTube adalah web series, yang mirip dengan acara TV namun berdurasi lebih pendek dan terbagi dalam beberapa episode. Web series kini banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana strategi komunikasi oleh banyak perusahaan, termasuk di Indonesia yang memiliki potensi besar untuk pengembangannya berkat tingginya minat terhadap YouTube. Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi nilai integritas dalam web series YouTube "Nurut Apa Kata Mama" yang diproduksi oleh BCA, menggunakan pendekatan semiotika John Fiske. Web series ini dirancang sebagai sarana edukasi sekaligus branding, menampilkan nilai-nilai perusahaan seperti integritas, kerjasama tim, dan fokus pada nasabah. Melalui tiga level analisis semiotika John Fiske menghasilkan hasil penelitian bahwa nilai integritas direpresentasikan melalui beberapa karakter tokoh cerita yang menunjukkan kesatuan ucapan dan tindakan, kejujuran, serta tanggung jawab serta pembawaan alur cerita yang membangun hubungan emosional dengan penonton yang mana BCA mengansumsikan brand sebagai manusia yang diringkas dalam web series ini sebagai bentuk memperkuat corporate branding BCA. Abstract

This study examines readers' reception of news regarding the impeachment of President Jokowi on the Tempo.co news portal. In its reporting, Tempo presents various opinions and statements from both supporters and opponents of the impeachment issue, as well as public reactions to the matter. Mass media plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion; however, reception analysis shows that the meaning-making process by the audience is influenced by various contextual factors. The aim of this research is to understand how readers receive news about President Jokowi's impeachment on Tempo.co. The methodology employed is qualitative descriptive, with data collected through in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that nearly all readers believe Tempo is not neutral in its reporting on Jokowi's impeachment. In reception analysis, Stuart Hall categorizes readers' acceptance into three positions; however, regarding the reception of news on Jokowi's impeachment in Tempo, only two positions were identified, with the majority of readers occupying a dominant hegemonic position.

Abstract

Sharenting is the behavior of parents who share information about their children on social media. One of the causes of sharenting practices on Instagram is the lack of digital literacy in parents. The purpose of this study is to describe the digital literacy skills of millennial parents in their sharenting activities on Instagram social media. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research with Steve Wheeler's digital literacy concept. Wheeler said that there are nine components in digital literacy, namely, social networking, transliteracy, maintaining privacy, managing digital identity, creating content, organising and sharing content, reusing/repurposing content, filtering and selecting content, and self broadcasting. The results of this study show that the digital literacy skills of millennial parents who do sharenting activities on social media Instagram have proficiency in digital literacy, especially in the aspects of the ability to use Instagram and utilize the features available for sharenting activities, aspects of the ability to manage children's privacy, aspects of digital identity management, aspects of the ability to create and manage children's content, while in the aspect of filtering and sorting children's content, parents still do not have sufficient awareness. Abstrak Sharenting merupakan perilaku orang tua yang membagikan informasi mengenai anak-anak di media sosial. Salah satu penyebab adanya praktik sharenting di Instagram adalah kurangnya literasi digital pada orang tua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi digital orang tua milenial pada aktivitas sharenting yang mereka lakukan di media sosial Instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan konsep literasi digital Steve Wheeler. Wheeler menuturkan bahwa terdapat sembilan komponen dalam literasi digital yakni, Kehadiran sosial, transliterasi, menjaga privasi, mengelola identitas digital, membuat konten, mengelola dan membagikan konten, memanfaatkan ulang konten, menyaring dan memilih konten, dan siaran mandiri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi digital orang tua milenial yang melakkukan aktivitas sharenting di media sosial Instagram memiliki kecakapan dalam literasi digital, terutama pada aspek kemampuan penggunaan Instagram dan pemanfaatan fitur yang tersedia untuk aktivitas sharenting, aspek kemampuan pengelolaan privasi anak, aspek pengelolaan identitas digital, aspek kemampuan pembuatan dan pengelolaan konten anak, sementara pada aspek penyaringan dan pemilahan konten anak, orang tua masih belum memiliki awareness yang cukup.
