Abstract

One of the most significant factors in global mortality and morbidity rates is hypertension. Based on Riskesdas findings, the incidence of hypertension in Indonesia has increased, namely from 25.8 percent in 2013 to 34.1% in 2018 in residents aged over 18 years. The absolute number of female hypertension sufferers is found in the Simpang Timbangan Community. Welfare Center regional group, 56.25% were female patients aged between 25 - 54 years. The aim of this study was to identify risk factors for hypertension in female patients. Case-control research design is a research method. The population of this study consisted of 72 respondents, namely 36 case respondents and 36 control respondents. The scalable test uses a modern framework with the chi square factual test. Results: Statistical tests (chi square) showed that there was a relationship between the prevalence of hypertension and knowledge (OR=18.182), family history (OR=12.5), and sodium intake (OR=7.995), but there was no relationship. between the tools used and the prevalence of hypertension. Hormonal contraception with the occurrence of hypertension (OR=0.571). In conclusion, the prevalence of hypertension in female patients in the Simpang Timbangan Community Health Center area is related to knowledge, family history, and sodium consumption.

Abstract

Samiler Crackers is a snack which very popular as a souvenirs from Wonosunyo Village, Pasuruan. The sweet and spicy flavor of taste become a customer reasons to reorder in the large quantities especially during Eid al Fitri Holiday. Often, the enterprises gets orders up to 1 tons on these day. One of the enterprises problem is still use conventional production equipment and seldom unable to fulfill the quantities order in the short periods of time. So they must to buy the crackers on the others supplier. Printing is stage which consuming much time and requires expertise of operators. So, this assistance is provide an innovation about Samiler Printing equipment, so that production process can be faster with uniform results. The printing process carried out manually for ± 3 minutes previously, can be eliminated to be 30-45 seconds with uniform of thickness and width.

Abstract

The Ciuyah Mud Volcano in West Java is a notable geological feature resulting from mud extrusion driven by subsurface pressure, buoyancy, and thermal variations. Its unique characteristics provide valuable insights into Earth's subsurface processes. Materials ejected from mud volcanoes often contain valuable minerals that are crucial for scientific investigation and economic application. Of particular interest at this site is the presence of Rare Earth Elements (REEs), which are vital for modern technology. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive characterisation of the Ciuyah Mud Volcano. The objectives are to: (1) determine its physicochemical properties using electrical conductivity (EC), volumetric water content (VWC), and total dissolved solids (TDS) measurements; (2) identify the distribution of REEs using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES); and (3) analyze the salt mineralogy using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). The results revealed high conductivity in the mud, as evidenced by elevated EC and VWC values, as well as high TDS and salinity in the water samples. XRF and ICP-OES analyses confirmed the presence of twelve REEs: Ce, Dy, Eu, Gd, Ho, La, Nd, Pr, Sm, Tb, Sc, and Y. Furthermore, SEM and XRD identified Halite and Helvite as the primary salt minerals, characterized by large, hexagonal crystal structures. These findings highlight the potential of the Ciuyah Mud Volcano as a source of strategic REEs for Indonesia’s advanced materials and clean energy sectors, while also offering local socioeconomic applications, such as salt-based cosmetic products.
