Abstract

This study aims to determine the money supply, interest rates and exchange rates against inflation. This research data uses secondary data with the time series method obtained from the North Maluku Bank Indonesia (BI) and North Maluku Central Statistics Agency (BPS) from 2010-2020. The method used in this research is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the study showed that the simultaneous testing showed that of the three variables, there was no effect. Based on the above findings that inflation is mostly influenced by interest rates, if interest rates rise it will increase inflation. Because interest rates have the most dominant contribution in increasing inflation, therefore the monetary authority must try to maintain interest rates for inflation stability.

Abstract

Indonesia experienced an increase in extreme poverty during the Covid-19 pandemic, rising from 9.22% in 2019 to 10.14% in 2020. In response to the target of reducing extreme poverty to 0% by 2024, Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2022 on the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Eradication was issued as the foundation for cooperation among policymakers at both the central and regional levels. The 2020-2024 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) targets a reduction in the poverty rate in North Maluku to 6.19%. In reality, the poverty rate in North Maluku Province reached 6.39% in 2022, while in 2023, the poverty rate decreased to 6.25%. This indicates that the target set in the RPJMD is unlikely to be achieved, as 2024 is the final year of the current government’s term. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of economic growth, employment opportunities, the availability of economic infrastructure, human capital (HR), and financial inclusion on extreme poverty in the districts and cities of North Maluku. This study employs a quantitative analysis method (Structural Equation Modeling). The results of the study provide sufficient evidence that financial inclusion acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between employment opportunities, economic infrastructure, HR capacity, and basic infrastructure, which all have a significant positive impact on extreme poverty. Based on the findings, it is strongly explained that high economic growth in North Maluku Province does not significantly reduce extreme poverty

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to investigate a causality relationship between Construction Cost Index (CCI) and economic growth, between investment and economic growth, and between human development index and economic growth in North Maluku Province. With the error correction model approach, this study was carried out with the Granger causality method. The findings indicate that the economic growth and the Construction Cost Index affected the value of economic growth significantly. While the value change in the Construction Cost Index is statistically insignificant to affect the value of Economic Growth implying no causality relationship between the variables of Construction Cost Index to economic growth. There is only a one-way relationship, namely economic growth affecting the Construction Cost Index . Economic growth and investment have an association to changes in the value of economic growth significantly affecting the value of Investment. Humans do not have a causality (causal) relationship affecting each other or the Human Development Index (HDI) has no chance of being a dependent variable in the quarter of 2010 to 2019.

Abstract

The issue of digital economy in Indonesia should inevitably involve Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which contribute significantly to national economic growth—accounting for as much as 61.07% of the country’s GDP. According to research data from the World Bank, approximately 80% of MSMEs that are connected to the digital ecosystem demonstrated stronger resilience during the pandemic. However, many MSMEs have not yet widely adopted or evenly implemented digital branding practices. The methodology applied in this study involved four data collection methods: observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation/data validation. The outcomes of the workshop and training programs showed that participants received materials on branding and social media branding, as well as training in product photography to support their branding and promotion in the digital world. It is expected that with innovations such as QRIS, along with digital economy issues, social media digital branding, and product photography becoming shared national concerns, digitalization in Indonesia will continue to develop and support the country in becoming a developed nation. As a result of the training, MSME participants were able to understand the concepts of digital branding through social media and QRIS, and were capable of creating product photos to support their businesses.
