Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the teacher's ability to apply the Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning model to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes, (2) to describe students' Indonesian language learning outcomes through the application of the Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning model in class VIII students at State Middle Schools. 4 South Makale. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews, tests, field notes and documentation. The results of this research show that 1) the teacher's ability to manage learning using the Team Assisted Individualization type cooperative learning model for students is classified as very good. This can be seen from the overall average score of 4.57 over the three meetings; 2) student learning outcomes increase with the Team Assisted Individualization learning model. This can be seen from the results of the initial test (pre-test) of 25 students, none of whom achieved a KKM score ≥ 70 because they only got an average score of 30.90, while in the final test (post-test) only 3 people did not complete it. of 25 students with an average score of 80.35. Classically and individually, students achieve completeness of the KKM score in the final test after being given treatment compared to the initial test before being given treatment.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan salah satu jenis kemampuan berbahasa tulis yang bersifat reseptif. Karena dengan membaca seseorang akan memperoleh informasi, memperoleh ilmu dan pengetahuan serta pengalaman-pengalaman baru. Keberhasilan belajar dalam proses belajar di sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh penguasaan kemampuan membaca pada tahap permulaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah; (1) mendeksripsikan strategi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas rendah SD Negeri 004 Bulo, (2) mendeksripsikan faktor penghambat dan pendukung bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas rendah SD Negeri 004 Bulo. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1) Strategi yang digunakan guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa yaitu dengan menggunakan strategi buttom-up dengan menggunakan metode basal readers dan metode distar. (2) faktor penghambat dan pendukung bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa adapun faktor penghambat bagi guru yaitu: siswa dan lingkungan. Sedangkan faktor pendukungnya yaitu: tutor teman sebaya. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru di SD Negeri 004 Bulo dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa dikelas yang diterapkan guru dengan mengajak siswa untuk membaca buku, membuat permainan disela-sela pembelajaran, menyediakan fasilitas untuk siswa, guru membiasakan siswa melakukan literasi terlebih dahulu, menggunakan modul ajar sebagian acuan dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah melalui gerakan literasi sekolah untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Sesenapadang. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah melalui pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Sesenapadang, (2) mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Sesenapadang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif-Deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dari penelitian ini yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah melalui gerakan literasi sekolah untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa yaitu menghimbau kepada guru untuk memberikan tugas dan waktu kepada siswa untuk membaca, memberikan motivasi kepada siswa untuk membaca, penambahan koleksi buku dari berbagai sumber dan melakukan literasi keagamaan, (2) Faktor yang menjadi pendukung Kepala Sekolah dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa yaitu; sarana dan prasarana, motivasi yang tinggi dan kerja sama yang baik. Sedangkan faktor penghambat dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa yaitu: komunikasi yang kurang baik, masih kurangnya buku bacaan, masih kurangnya jaringan internet, faktor dari dalam diri siswa, dan faktor lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Menjalin mitra Kerjasama dengan masyarakat merupakam wujud pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan berfokus pada pemanfaatan pupuk organik cair di Lembang Bua` Tarrung, Kecamatan Rembon. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam bidang pertanian organik, khususnya terkait pembuatan dan penggunaan pupuk organik cair. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pupuk organik cair secara signifikan meningkatkan kualitas tanah dan hasil pertanian. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu membentuk memperkuat nilai-nilai sosial, gotong royong, dan kekeluargaan dalam komunitas setempat. Meski demikian, masih terdapat tantangan dalam memahami teknik pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Diharapkan metode ini dapat terus dikembangkan secara mandiri untuk keberlanjutan pertanian organik di masa depan

Abstract

Folklore is a form of cultural heritage that is full of the life values, traditions and worldview of a society. This research aims to examine the life values ​​contained in Toraja folklore and how these values ​​reflect the social and cultural life of the Toraja people. The method used in this research is qualitative analysis with an ethnographic approach, where folk stories are collected and analyzed through in-depth interpretation. The research results show that Toraja folklore depicts the values ​​of togetherness, mutual cooperation, respect for ancestors, as well as respect and fear of customary law and cosmological rules. These values ​​not only function as a guide to life, but also strengthen Toraja cultural identity amidst ongoing social changes. These findings provide deeper insight into how folklore can be a medium for understanding social structures, moral values, and the Torajan people's perspective on life.

Abstract

Teachers have a strategic role in improving the quality of education, especially in developing professional competencies that include mastery of material, learning strategies, and utilization of educational technology. This study aims to analyze the effect of educational technology implementation on improving teachers' professional competence in order to improve the quality of education in Mamasa district. This research uses a mixed methods approach, where qualitative methods are used to describe the implementation of educational technology in the learning process, while quantitative methods are used to analyze the relationship between teachers' professional competence and student achievement through data presented in the form of numbers and tables. The results show that teachers who implement educational technology in learning tend to have more effective teaching methods, increase student engagement and contribute to improved learning outcomes. However, there are still constraints in teachers' access to technology and digital literacy that need further attention. With continuous training and mentoring, the implementation of education technology can be a solution to improve teachers' professional competence and the overall quality of education in Mamasa district.

Abstract

Writing is a very important language skill for elementary school students, especially in composing narrative essays. However, many students experience difficulties in writing narratives due to lack of ideas, limited vocabulary, and uninteresting learning methods. One of the alternatives to improve narrative writing skills is by utilizing serial image media as a learning tool. Serial drawing media can help students understand the storyline more systematically, increase their imagination, and enrich their vocabulary in writing. This study aims to explore the utilization of serial picture media in improving the narrative writing ability of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 10 Pakassasan, Mamasa, using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis to understand how the use of serial image media contributes to the learning of narrative writing. The results showed that the use of series picture media had a positive impact in increasing students' motivation and writing ability. Students find it easier to develop ideas, organize a coherent storyline, and improve the quality of their writing. In addition, this media also helps teachers in creating more interactive and fun learning. Thus, the utilization of serial image media can be an effective solution in overcoming narrative writing problems in primary schools, especially in rural areas such as Mamasa.

Abstract

Pemahaman peserta didik terhadap puisi rakyat menjadi aspek penting dalam pembelajaran sastra, terutama dalam upaya pelestarian budaya dan penguatan nilai-nilai lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendekatan etnopedagogik dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap puisi rakyat. Pendekatan etnopedagogik menekankan pada integrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga peserta didik tidak hanya memahami struktur dan makna puisi rakyat tetapi juga menghayati nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen dari pembelajaran yang menerapkan pendekatan etnopedagogik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dalam memahami puisi rakyat, memperkuat hubungan mereka dengan budaya lokal, serta meningkatkan kemampuan interpretasi terhadap nilai-nilai kearifan yang terkandung dalam puisi rakyat. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan pendekatan etnopedagogik dalam pembelajaran sastra dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam membangun kesadaran budaya dan literasi sastra peserta didik.

Abstract

National Education functions to develop abilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation to make the nation's life intelligent. The need to increase insight and knowledge certainly begins with the Literacy Movement which can be started by reading. However, according to UNESCO data, the reading interest of Indonesian people is very concerning, only 0.001%. This means that out of 1,000 Indonesians, only 1 person is an avid reader. Ironically, according to the Ministry of Communication and Information, although the interest in reading books is low, wear social data reveals that Indonesians can stare at gadget screens for approximately 9 hours a day. Gadget addiction by children today also has an impact on the social and cultural environment so that their understanding of local culture begins to fade. Thus, there is a need for innovative and interesting media to attract students' reading interest by highlighting local wisdom. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of digital-based folklore media in increasing students' interest in reading. This study was conducted using a mix-method method on 20 fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Rantepao. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results of this study were an increase in students' interest in reading after using the media. Digital-based folklore by utilizing interactive technology and interesting visual elements is used as an alternative learning media to increase student participation in reading activities. This research is useful for other schools that want to use digital-based learning media as well as a forum for preserving culture.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the weak character of environmental love in elementary school students. This can be seen from the low concern for classroom cleanliness, waste management, and a lack of understanding of the importance of preserving the environment. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of visual literacy in forming and developing the character of environmental love in grade IV students at SDN 3 Rantepao. The method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach involving two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the application of visual literacy media such as environmental posters, infographics, and educational videos significantly increased students' awareness and behavior of environmental love. The main contribution of this study is to prove that visual literacy is not only a means of conveying information but also effective in forming students' character through an attractive and easy-to-understand visual approach. This study recommends the use of visual literacy as part of a character education learning strategy, especially the character of caring for the environment from an early age. The main contribution of this study is to prove that visual literacy is not only a means of conveying information, but also effective in shaping students' character through an attractive and easy-to-understand visual approach, which has been proven to increase the average knowledge about the environment by 26%, environmental care attitudes by 18%, and real actions in protecting the environment by 26% in students.
