Abstract

Introduction: The conceptual relationship between economics and breastfeeding is still mathematically invaluable, while the family's economic burden increases along with babies born. Indicating potential loss when a family chooses other than breastmilk is a progressive way to manage campaign messages about exclusive breastmilk and prolonged breastfeeding. Descriptive studies are needed to magnify all of these indicators and transform them into measuring instruments generalized to assess family expenditures related to infant feeding.Methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive design, questionnaire draft upon qualitative open questions containing all micro indicators impacted financially during the baby’s first year. Data collection was carried out in Makassar based on telephone surveys with 330 preliminary samples. After structural analysis and data reduction, the expenditure indicators were divided into medical and non-medical expenses.Results: The study show there is a difference in the average amount of family expenses of those who provide formula milk compared to breastmilk. This outcome is 21.1 times higher in non-medical components and 2.5 times higher in the medical component. One of the highest contributions in medical expenses is the cost of a recurrent visit to a pediatrician due to a history of illness such as allergies, respiratory infections, and diarrhea.Conclusion: This empirical fact stated the strong affirmation of how families should consider wisely to choose the best feeding pattern for babies aged 0-12 months.

Abstract

As an educational institution, schools have a strategic role and position in health promotion efforts. Children are an age group that is vulnerable to experiencing health problems because most of their time is spent outside the home environment and outside the supervision of their parents. When children are in the school environment, they can experience disease transmission from peers, from the school environment or they may consume food that does not meet health requirements. Children are also an age group that is easy to impart knowledge about personal hygiene to shape healthy behavior. This activity is carried out through socialization activities for students, especially to increase awareness of the importance of Clean and Healthy Behavior in the surrounding environment. This activity was carried out at UPT SDN No. 96 Kalongkong on the day of North Galesong District, Takalar Regency which was held on Thursday, June 23 2022 using a pre-post test. The results of the post test showed an increase in knowledge of UPT SDN No.96 Kalongkong students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of elementary school teachers about the 2013 curriculum, related to curriculum concepts, analysis of teaching materials, and the design of learning models, to determine the attitudes of elementary school teachers about the curriculum, related to basic concepts, analysis of teaching materials, and design of learning models. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach through questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Furthermore, data management was carried out using percentage statistical analysis with the help of the Microsoft office excel 2007 program. The results of the research on teacher knowledge of 31 teachers who were tested about the 2013 curriculum concept with a percentage of 80.65% or an average of 25 teachers were in the Less category, regarding Material Analysis Teaching with a percentage of 67.74% or an average of 21 teachers is in the Less category, regarding designing learning models with a percentage of 74.19% or an average of 23 teachers is in the Less category. Overall, the results of the study of elementary school teachers' knowledge of the 2013 Curriculum of Physical Education subjects in Manggala District or an average of 22 teachers with a percentage of 70.90% are at the Less category level. The results of the research on teacher attitudes from 31 teachers who were tested about the concept of the 2013 curriculum, a percentage of 79.35% and are in the Agree category, regarding the Analysis of Teaching Materials are stated to Agree with a percentage of 80.81% and are in the Strongly Agree category, regarding the design of learning models stated with a percentage of 79.92% in the Agree category. Overall, the results of the study of the Attitudes of Elementary School Teachers regarding the 2013 Curriculum for Physical Education subjects in Manggala District with a percentage of 80.09% are at the Strongly Agree category level.

Abstract

Media merupakan platform yang sangat kuat untuk mendistribusikan informasi yang edukatif terkait isu kesehatan Masyarakat. Penggunaan media pada komunikasi kesehatan kebanyakan diperuntukkan pada penempatan isu kesehatan Masyarakat dan dilakukan melalui pembuatan video iklan layanan kesehatan Masyarakat. Kegiatan pembuatan video iklan layanan kesehatan Masyarakat dilakukan mengikuti tahapan yang diawali dengan perencanaan, segmentasi khalayak, pembuatan konsep video. Video yang dihasilkan berjumlah 15 video dengan durasi maksimal 1,5 menit untuk masing-masing videonya. Video kemudian diunggah di media sosial untuk menjadi bahan edukasi bagi Masyarakat luas. Video-video yang ada mengangkat isu kesehatan Masyarakat terkini, dibuat dengan menentukan sasaran melalui proses segmentasi khalayak untuk menghasilkan sasaran yang lebih spesifik, dan video ini memanfaat media sosial sebagai perantara untuk menyebarluaskan informasi yang dapat mengedukasi khalayak.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Angka stunting di Indonesia masih tinggi, terutama di daerah-daerah yang memiliki status sosial ekonomi rendah serta keterbatasan akses terhadap fasilitas kesehatan. Stunting tidak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan anak jangka pendek (short term), namun juga membawa implikasi jangka panjang (long term) terhadap kemajuan pembangunan nasional. Melalui berbagai platform seperti koran, televisi, dan jejaring sosial, media massa mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya nutrisi yang sesuai untuk perkembangan anak-anak. Kegiatan edukasi berbasis media massa dilakukan dengan mengikuti tahap perencanaan, pemilihan platform media, pembuatan konsep artikel, dan penerbitan artikel. Pembuatan artikel memiliki fokus pendekatan yang berbeda. Mulai dari konteks yang berbau sosial budaya, hingga regulasi terkait stunting di beberapa daerah. Pemanfaatan platform media massa seyogyanya dimanfaatkan dengan bertanggungjawab guna meningkatkan literasi kesehatan dan literasi gizi pada masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Stunting, Edukasi Kesehatan, Media Massa ABTRACT The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia remains high, especially in areas with middle-low socioeconomic status and lack of access to healthcare facilities. Stunting not only has short-term health impacts on children but also long-term implications for national development progress. Through various platforms such as newspapers, television, and social media, mass media can enhance public awareness of the importance of appropriate nutrition for children's development. Media-based education activities involve planning, selecting media platforms, conceptualizing articles, and publishing them. The creation of articles focuses on different approaches, ranging from socio-cultural contexts to regulations related to stunting in various regions. The responsible utilization of mass media platforms is essential for enhancing health literacy and nutritional literacy in the community. Keywords: Stunting, Health Education, Mass Media

Abstract

Objectives. This study developed a comprehensive sexual education model to reduce unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections, and improve adolescents' knowledge and life skills. Materials and Methods. This study involved 35 participants, consisting of 20 adolescents (12-19 years old) and 15 educators (25-50 years old) from 3 schools. Qualitative research method was chosen to explore experiences and views related to the integration of reproductive health in sexual education. The sample was selected by purposive sampling, and data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Data were analysed using thematic techniques to identify patterns and themes from the interviews and observations. Results. The results of the analysis showed that before the implementation of the sexual education model, adolescents had limited and inconsistent knowledge about reproductive health. After four months of implementation, many adolescents reported increased understanding and confidence in protecting themselves. Some students considered the materials too formal and experienced problems accessing information outside of school. Educators rated the curriculum as effective but faced challenges in addressing student discomfort and resource limitations. Students felt more open and comfortable, but wanted more discussion and practice. Teachers and facilitators suggested improving the curriculum, materials and training. Conclusion. Comprehensive sexual education programmes increase students' knowledge, but require development of interactions, policy support, and teacher training. Keywords. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit menular pada bayi dan balita merupakan tantangan nasional hingga global yang menyebabkan angka kesakitan dan kematian pada bayi meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Penyakit menular dapat dicegah sedari dini melalui upaya vaksinasi. Pencatatan dan Pelaporan cakupan vaksinasi sering dibuat dalam bentuk tabel yang belum tentu dipahami oleh pemangku kebijakan dan Masyarakat umum. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi data yang ditampulkan dalam bentuk grafik dan tabel menjadi data yang lebih mudah dipahami secara visual. Pemetaan data cakupan vaksin melibatkan beberapa kelompok yang menganalisis cakupan vaksin kabupaten yang ada di Indonesia. Dengan demikian, visualisasi data cakupan vaksin akan lebih mudah dipahami oleh pemangku kebijakan dan Masyarakat di kabupaten yang bersangkutan. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi Geografis, Imunisasi, Kesehatan Masyarakat.   ABTRACT Infectious diseases in infants and toddlers are a national and global challenge that causes the rate of illness and death in infants to increase from year to year. Infectious diseases can be prevented early through vaccination efforts. Surveillance of vaccination coverage is often made in the form of tables that policymakers and the general public need to understand. This service activity is carried out by adapting data displayed in graphs and tables into visually understandable data. Mapping vaccine coverage data involves several groups that analyze district vaccine coverage in Indonesia. Thus, the visualization of vaccine coverage data will be easier for policy makers and the community concerned in the district to understand.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Government Business Incubators in encouraging the growth of MSMEs in Makassar City. Using a qualitative approach and case study research design, this study explores the experiences and perceptions of MSME actors and incubator managers regarding the impact of incubation on their business development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation related to the incubation program run by Makassar Technopark and Makassar City Business Incubator. The results of the study indicate that business incubators have a positive impact on improving managerial skills, wider market access, and strong business networks for MSMEs. However, there are challenges related to the suitability of training materials to the needs of specific sectors, difficulties in accessing capital, and limited time that MSME actors can invest in participating in the incubation program. Lack of ongoing mentoring after the incubation is complete is also one of the obstacles faced by business actors. Therefore, this study recommends adjusting the incubation program to be more relevant to the needs of each MSME sector, as well as increasing post-incubation support to ensure business sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to explore various digital marketing strategies that are right for MSMEs and the role of digital marketing in increasing MSME income. This study is included in the literature review method. The results of the study indicate that increasing the use of information technology, namely digital marketing, is one of the efforts to increase MSME income by encouraging the capabilities or resources owned through web- based information systems and e-commerce as marketing media, creating marketing content on social media, using paid advertising to increase exposure , and email marketing as an effective strategy . By using a digital marketing strategy, MSMEs can reach a wider market at a more efficient cost and can increase sales and income for MSMEs.

Abstract

Online marketing is one of the main strategies in increasing business income, including for traditional market traders in South Sulawesi. Although internet penetration in Indonesia, especially in South Sulawesi, continues to grow, many traditional market traders have not utilized digital potential to market their products. This study aims to explore online marketing activities implemented by traditional market traders in Gowa Regency, as well as to analyze their influence on increasing income and the factors that influence their success. Based on literature studies, the use of social media and e-commerce platforms has been shown to increase product visibility and attract more consumers, which in turn can increase sales. However, the adoption of digital technology among traditional market traders is still limited, mainly due to the lack of skills in managing social media accounts and digital platforms. This study uses a qualitative approach with interviews and observation methods of traders in traditional markets in Gowa Regency. The results of the study show that online marketing has a positive influence on increasing trader income, but the level of adoption varies based on factors such as age, education, and business experience. Therefore, digital marketing training and support from the government and trader associations are needed to accelerate the adoption of this technology. This study is expected to provide recommendations for the development of more effective digital marketing strategies for traditional market traders in South Sulawesi, in order to increase competitiveness and strengthen the local economy.
