Abstract

The focus of this study is the transformation of English and Mathematics education at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Takengon. Higher education at IAIN Takengon faces challenges in increasing student interest, especially in English and Mathematics study programs. Students believe that mathematics and English skills are not important for career success. This is a common problem in many universities in Indonesia. By focusing on the analysis of high school needs, this study attempts to address the problem. The results of the analysis indicate that IAIN Takengon programs can be tailored to meet the specific needs of English and Mathematics students. As part of the solution, IAIN Takengon students engage directly with high school students and gain hands-on experience in mentoring and teaching. To determine the needs of high schools, an analysis of the study program curriculum, interviews with teachers and students, and observations were conducted. The results of the study indicate that the English and Mathematics curriculum needs to be improved specifically, and the program should be more related to students' real lives. Case studies and qualitative methods are considered effective in collecting contextual data and providing in-depth insights into the state of education at IAIN Takengon. Other practical recommendations include curriculum adjustments, creating learning materials that are more in line with industry needs, and training teachers to implement innovative teaching methods.

Abstract

Paracetamol is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic drug in tablet dosage form. Ensuring the stability of paracetamol tablets is essential to maintain drug efficacy, safety, and quality during their shelf life. This study aims to evaluate the physical and chemical stability of paracetamol tablets stored under different temperature and humidity conditions. The review method used in this article involves analyzing published data from several sources, focusing on changes in physical appearance (color, shape, and odor) and chemical parameters such as active pharmaceutical ingredient content over time. The findings indicate that higher temperatures and humidity accelerate degradation and affect the drug's quality, particularly through discoloration and reduction in active content. Packaging also plays a crucial role in maintaining stability, especially in tropical climates. The results highlight the importance of stability testing in pharmaceutical quality assurance and support the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and appropriate storage guidelines. This paper contributes to the understanding of stability profiles of commonly used drugs and provides a reference for the formulation and packaging development of heat-sensitive medications.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to explore and optimize the local potential of the abundant soursop fruit in Puteri Betung Village, Gayo Lues Regency. The primary problem lies in the local community's underutilization of the abundant soursop fruit. This activity was conducted in the form of training on making soursop dodol and product packaging design. The methods used include a participatory approach, direct training, and evaluation of the work produced. This activity resulted in an increased understanding among the community regarding the added value of soursop fruit, improved technical skills in product processing, and support from the local government for the continuation of the product. The soursop dodol product successfully won 1st place in the local potential utilization category at the district-level expo. The results of this activity show that local potential-based mentoring can be an effective medium for empowering the community's economy.

Abstract

It was noted from the observations that most of the students could only memorize and understand the vocabulary, but could not arrange it to become a sentence and could not communicate in Arabic, the causes were the inappropriate teaching media used by the lecturers and the short time they have with the lecturer. Those things cause the students to have difficulty composing Arabic sentences and the inability to communicate with Arabic friends and lecturers. After the researcher distributed the questionnaire to the students, the researcher found that the students liked conversational material and needed learning media that facilitated students conversations with friends and lecturers, and they needed the development of conversational materials with learning media. Therefore, lecturers need learning media to display these lessons. Based on this phenomenon, the researchers tried to overcome the problems that occurred by developing Muhadatsah lessons to improve students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program. The purpose of this study was to determine how the development of Muhadatsah lessons improved students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program and how effective the product was. The research method that the researcher used was R&D. The research instruments used by researchers to collect research data were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the research that the researchers obtained were: the development of Muhadatsah lessons in improving students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program following 10 predetermined steps, and the t-test value (t-count = 23.18) is greater than the value (t-table with a significant level 5% = 2.11 and a significant level of 1% = 2.90). Then, it shows that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, which means that the Microsoft PowerPoint program is effective in increasing students' ability to improve speaking skills in Muhadatsah lessons.

Abstract

Silica gel is one of the most commonly used adsorbents in the fractionation of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants. This is due to its ability to separate compounds based on differences in polarity, thus simplifying the purification process of active components. Fractionation itself is a crucial step in phytochemical research, as it aims to obtain active compounds in a purer, standardized form, and ready for further testing, both biologically and pharmacologically. This study aims to review the effectiveness of silica gel in the fractionation of active compounds from various types of medicinal plants. The study was conducted through a systematic literature review method with a qualitative-descriptive approach to 35 scientific articles published in the last five years. The articles analyzed were those that presented primary data on the use of silica gel in the fractionation process of medicinal plants. The results of the study showed that silica gel was proven effective in separating various polar compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and phenolic compounds from crude extracts of medicinal plants. Some studies have even succeeded in isolating pure compounds that have significant biological activities, such as antioxidants, antimicrobials, and anti-inflammatory. The effectiveness of fractionation with silica gel is influenced by several important factors, such as the type and composition of the solvent, the elution technique (gradient or isocratic), and the support of advanced analytical methods such as thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR, and NMR). However, the use of silica gel still has several limitations, including the relatively high solvent requirements and long elution times. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that silica gel has great potential in supporting the fractionation process and isolation of bioactive compounds from medicinal plants. Therefore, optimization of silica gel-based fractionation techniques is important to support research and development of more efficient, standardized, and sustainable phytopharmaceutical products.

Abstract

The role of organizational culture in improving student academic achievement in schools. The research method used involved an analysis of the literature and previous studies highlighting the relationship between organizational culture and academic achievement. The results of the analysis show that building and strengthening organizational culture, such as a clear vision and mission of the school, effective leadership, open communication, community participation, and reward and recognition systems, contribute significantly to improving students' academic achievement. The references used in this article support the importance of a healthy organizational culture in creating a high-achieving and enjoyable learning environment for every student. The implications of these findings emphasize the need for schools to prioritize building a strong organizational culture to improve overall student academic achievement.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to analyze and strengthen institutional synergy among the Special Crimes Division, the Civil and Administrative Affairs Division, and the Intelligence Division of the Palangka Raya District Prosecutor’s Office through a community-organizing framework and participatory collaboration. The initiative stems from a strategic need to optimize coordination, enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement, and foster the development of an integrated work pattern that is responsive to the complexities of contemporary legal issues. Using the participatory action research (PAR) method, the program was implemented through participatory assessments, thematic discussions, field observations, case simulations, and the strengthening of legal administration, all of which collectively contributed to substantial improvements in analytical capacity, professionalism, and cross-divisional communication patterns. The findings indicate that synergy across divisions not only enhances the technical efficiency of case handling but also generates institutional social change through the establishment of new work routines, the emergence of local leaders, and the strengthening of internal social capital. Theoretically, these outcomes reinforce perspectives from collaborative governance, organizational learning, and institutional change, which emphasize that institutional transformation can only be achieved through functional integration, knowledge exchange, and the cultivation of a collaborative institutional culture. This program recommends the institutionalization of coordination procedures, the utilization of information technology as a tool for data integration, and the implementation of continuous synergistic training to sustain the changes achieved. Consequently, this engagement contributes both empirically and conceptually to the development of an adaptive, integrated law enforcement model aimed at improving the quality of public service delivery.

Abstract

Ultisol is one type of land in Indonesia that has an area distribution of about 25% of Indonesia's total land area and the widest distribution is in Kalimantan (21.938.000 ha). The acidic pH of the soil causes low availability of P in Ultisol and the occurrence of P fixation by Al and Fe which are positively charged, making P difficult to be available to plants. In this study, ameliorant was added in the form of dolomite and chicken manure to see the effect on Ultisol soil by isothermal phosphate absorption analysis and processed using the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equations. The results of the study concluded that the application of P on Ultisol soil in Gunung Kupang Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, was in accordance with the Freundlich Equation. High or low P absorption indicates the level of P availability in the soil. In other words, fixation on acidic mineral soils can reduce the amount of P available to Plants.
