Abstract

This study aims to analyse the text of the newspaper article ‘The PKI’s Current Assessment of the Centrists’ by Soe Hok Gie using Jürgen Habermas’s theory of intellectual criticism. The method employed is historical research using a qualitative approach. The research findings indicate that Gie’s criticism represents a communicative act that upholds the rational public sphere amidst the dominance of the Guided Democracy ideology, through three dimensions: substantive criticism of the PKI’s discourse monopoly, the use of Mingguan Mahasiswa Indonesia as an alternative channel, and the state’s response in the form of political polarisation that curtails intellectual freedom. Gie’s writings demonstrate that the colonisation of the public sphere during the Guided Democracy era was institutionalised through regulations that systematically reduced intellectual pluralism. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis teks artikel koran "Penilaian PKI Sekarang terhadap Kaum Tengah" karya Soe Hok Gie menggunakan teori kritik intelektual Jurgen Habermas. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kritik Gie merepresentasikan tindakan komunikatif yang mempertahankan ruang publik rasional di tengah dominasi ideologi Demokrasi Terpimpin, melalui tiga dimensi: kritik substantif terhadap monopoli wacana PKI, penggunaan Mingguan Mahasiswa Indonesia sebagai saluran alternatif, serta respons negara berupa polarisasi politik yang mengekang kebebasan intelektual. Tulisan Gie membuktikan bahwa kolonisasi ruang publik pada era Demokrasi Terpimpin dilembagakan melalui regulasi yang secara sistemis mereduksi pluralisme intelektual.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement the Performance pedagogy approach to improve the quality of informal music learning in a student learning community at the Department of Language and Arts Education (JPBS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lampung. The program was carried out through a workshop attended by 20 students from the Music Education, Indonesian Language and Literature Education, and English Education study programs. Activities included conceptual presentations, demonstrations, ensemble practice, and musical performance. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test via the Kahoot application. Results showed a significant increase in participant understanding, from 36% correct answers in the pre-test to 84% in the post-test. The result shows an improvement of 48%. Qualitative reflections indicated a shift in participants' orientation toward viewing performance not as an end product of learning, but as an integral and meaningful part of the learning process itself. This program demonstrates that the Performance pedagogy approach is effective and relevant as a model for strengthening student learning communities through informal music learning.   Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan pendekatan Performance pedagogy untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran musik informal dalam komunitas belajar mahasiswa di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni (JPBS), Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP), Universitas Lampung. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan lokakarya yang diikuti oleh 20 mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Musik, Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, dan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan meliputi pemaparan konsep, demonstrasi, praktik ansambel, dan pertunjukan musik. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta yang signifikan, dari 36% jawaban benar pada pretest menjadi 84% pada posttest, atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 48%. Refleksi kualitatif juga menunjukkan adanya pergeseran orientasi peserta dalam memandang pertunjukan, dari sekadar hasil akhir pembelajaran menjadi bagian yang integral dan bermakna dari proses pembelajaran itu sendiri. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Performance pedagogy efektif dan relevan sebagai model untuk memperkuat komunitas belajar mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran musik informal.

Abstract

The art of poetry is one of the unique cultural heritages of the people of Menggala Regency. Initially, this oral tradition of art was a form of expression of someone's feelings which was processed in the form of artistic performances. Poetry art thrives in various areas of Lampung, including Krui, South Lampung, Tanggamus, Central Lampung and North Lampung. Each region has its own unique rhythm. Poetry is a form of literature that is conveyed orally, usually through speech or live performance. The content of the poetry can be in the form of advice, criticism, aspirations, or expressions of joy. This research was carried out because proficiency in the art of such poetry is very rare. The aim of this research is to revive people's skills regarding the art of poetry which has almost become extinct. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and literature study. The results of the research show that the oral tradition of poetry functions as an artistic and cultural medium that connects the older generation with the younger generation or between society and the government to convey aspirations, suggestions, criticism or expressions of happiness. Several efforts have been made to preserve, utilize and develop this poetry art through schools, galleries and traditional art festivals.

Abstract

Currently, many fresh graduates are still struggling to find employment.  The majority of applicants are only able to submit and deliver their application letters without receiving any interview calls. One of the factors that cause job applications to fail is the inability to attract recruiters' attention through effective personal selling and branding. These problems include the use of , disorganized application letter formats, and CVs that do not adequately represent the job seeker's personal branding. The problem faced by students is their inability to write effective job application letters. This study aims to describe one solution to improve job application letter writing skills using the Project-based learning method with the assistance of the LinkedIn application. This study will integrate the Project-based learning method with LinkedIn.   Saat ini masih banyak Fresh graduate yang kesulitan dalam mencari pekerjaan.  Mayoritas para pelamar hanya mampu memberikan dan mengantarkan surat lamaran tanpa mendapatkan panggilan wawancara. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan lamaran kerja tidak berhasil adalah kegagalan untuk menarik perhatian perekrut melalui personal selling dan branding yang efektif. Masalah-masalah ini termasuk penggunaan bahasa yang buruk, format surat lamaran yang tidak teratur, dan CV yang tidak cukup mewakili personal branding pencari kerja. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa adalah ketidak mampuan dalam menyusun surat lamaran kerja yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis surat lamaran kerja dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Project-based learning dengan bantuan aplikasi Linkendln. Penelitian ini akan mengintegrasikan metode pembelajaran Project-based learning dengan Linkendln.
