Abstract

This study was an experimental study with a pretest posttest non-equivalent groups design. The research samples were students in the class X6 and X5 which selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research data were quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data obtained from pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then there were statically analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data were learning activities of student and the questionares of student’s response in using media audio-visual by implementing PBM model that were analyzed descriptively. The result of research showed that using media audio-visual by implementing PBM model can not increase student learning as significant with an average value of N-Gain was 0,41. Learning activities included problem solving (87,5%) andmake an idea (80,5%) were increase, most student (93,5%) gave positif response to using media audio-visual by means of PBM model. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen dengan desain pretes postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X6 and X5yang dipilih dengan teknik Cluster random sampling.Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif.Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t.Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa terhadap penerapan media audio visual melalui model PBM yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media audio-visual melalui model PBM pada kelas eksperimen tidak dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan  dengan rata-rata nilai N-Gain 0,41. Aktivitas belajar siswa mencangkup bekerja sama dalam memecahkan masalah (87,5%) dan menuliskan pendapat/ide (80,5%) meningkat, sebagian besar siswa (93,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media audio visual melalui model PBM.Kata kunci:aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa, media audio-visual, model pembelajaran berbasis masalah

Abstract

The study was conducted  to obtain the effect of using flash card during   learning with jigsaw cooperative model  on student` activity and their achievement. This study used  pretest-postest not equivalent designed on sample which was selected  using cluster random sampling sample technique. The data of student` concept mastery were obtained from  test (pretest and posttest), observation sheet (students learning activities) and student`s  respons questionnairet about this study. The student`s concept mastery was categorized according to Bloom Taxonomy namely  Data was analyzed using  t-test on the SPSS17 program.The  N-gain  score obtained showed that  the experimental class was better than  the control ones.  The study indicated that the flash card usage affecting student`s concept mastery espescially on comprehensiveness (C2) aspect, but not analysis skill (C4) aspect.  The average  student learning activity of experiment class was 75,12 %  which was high category. Based on the stud it can be concluded that the used of  flash card in Jigsaw  cooperative learning model  significantly enhanced  student`s  learning activities and their concept  mastery. Keywords: Flash card, Jigsaw, student learning activity, material mastery, matter material of Virus.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of clover plants in bioremediation of wastewater out of the seed survival of African catfish at LC 50-96 hours. The parameters measured were survival factors catfish and chemical physics (BOD, COD, pH, and temperature) before and after bioremediation. Data  analyzed using the probit method. Research design using a completely randomized design.The treatment consisted of five variations of clover plant biomass, namely: 0 g (control), 400 g, 300 g, g, 200 g, 100 g, with 3 replications, while the waste volume was 10 liters respectively with actual treatment at a concentration of 50% for each treatment.The results showed that biomass was approaching LC 50-96 h at 292 885 g.The result of the research applied  in schools in the form of worksheets and tested with students' questionnaire responses, where the test results of the questionnaire 96% of students responded positively to the lab Bioremediation using clover.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bioremediasi tumbuhan Semanggi pada limbah cair tahu terhadap kelulushidupan benih ikan lele dumbo pada LC 50-96 jam. Parameter yang diamati adalah kelulushidupan ikan lele dan faktor fisika kimia (BOD,COD, pH,dan Suhu) sebelum dan sesudah bioremediasi. Data dianalisis  menggunakan metode probit. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Perlakuan terdiri dari lima variasi biomassa tumbuhan semanggi, yaitu: 0 g (kontrol), 400 g, 300 g,  g, 200 g,  100 g,  dengan 3 kali pengulangan, sedangkan volume limbah adalah masing-masing 10 liter  dengan perlakuan sesungguhnya pada konsentrasi 50% untuk tiap perlakuan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biomassa yang mendekati LC 50- 96 jam pada biomassa 292.885 g.Hasil penelitian diaplikasikan disekolah dalam bentuk LKS dan diuji dengan angket tanggapan siswa,dimana dalam hasil uji angket 96 % siswa positif tanggapanya terhadap praktikum Bioremediasi menggunakan semanggi.Kata kunci: bioremediasi, kelulushidupan, lele dumbo, limbah cair tahu, semanggi

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of media using Group Investigation (GI) model learning of Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS). This study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIID, chosen by Purposive  Sampling. Quantitative data of which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test.  The qualitative data which obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively.  The results showed  that the use of  GI learning model was able to improve KPS of student, it shown that the experimental class higher value of  N-gain 66,38 and significantly different from the control class N-gain 51,43.  Learning activities of the students also improve with average 72,30 of the experimental class and 50,23 of the control class.  Most students  gave positive respond to GI  learning model. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran GI terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS). Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalent. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID, dipilih secara Purposive  Sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran GI dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa, terlihat pada nilai N-gain 66,38 kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan kelas control N-gain 51,43.  Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dengan rata-rata 72,30 kelas eksperimen dan 50,23 pada kelas kontrol. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran GI. Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, keterampilan proses sains, model pembelajaran GI

Abstract

The purpose of this stud was determined the increased in activities and student learning outcomes using the cooperative model STAD. Activities undertaken included planning, action, evaluation and reflection for each cycle. The research of data was quantitative data obtained from the average test scores that analyzed by calculating the score for the observation of students' learning activities and the value of student learning outcomes.The results of this study showed student activities on the first cycle of 60.33 and 82.78 at the second cycle so increased to 22.44 thus the implementation of STAD model affect the increased activities and student learning outcomes in the material characteristic features of living things. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model kooperatif Tipe STAD. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, evaluasi dan refleksi untuk tiap siklus. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang di analisis dengan menghitung skor terhadap hasil observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan nilai hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 60,33%  dan siklus II yaitu 82,78% sehingga dari kedua siklus meningkat menjadi 22,44%. Dengan demikian penerapan model STAD berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, hasil belajar IPA, model STAD.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of puzzle media on students critical thinking. The study population was all grade VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung totaling 192 people. The research sample was students from 2 classes, namely class VII A and VII B who were selected from the population by using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a pretest-posttest sheet. The design used is the nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis used t-test at a significance level of 5% which shows the results of the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.00 0.05, which means that the average n-Gain learning outcomes of students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class differed significantly. This is due to the using puzzle media, because students are trained to think critically through using puzzle media during the learning process. Thus, it is known that using puzzle media can affect the critical thinking skills of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh media puzzle terhadap berpikir kritis peserta didik. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung berjumlah 192 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas VII A dan VII B yang dipilih dari populasi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar pretes-postes. Desain yang digunakan yaitu nonequivalent control group design. Analisis data yang digunakan Uji t- test pada taraf signifikansi 5% yang menunjukkan hasil nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 0,05 yang berarti n-Gain rata-rata hasil belajar kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda signifikan. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh penggunaan media puzzle, karena peserta didik dilatih untuk berpikir kritis melalui media puzzle saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dengan demikian, diketahui bahwa menggunakan media puzzle dapat berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, media puzzle, sains

Abstract

Based on observations in SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo, creative thinking skills by students haven’t been developed yet optimally. Alternative is the use of quantum learning. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of quantum learning method the ability to think creatively by students in the major subject Human Motion Systems. This research is an experimental non-equivalent pretest-posttest-design study. The sample was XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 which was selected from the population using purposive sampling selected. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest and N-gain. Qualitative data were in form of students’ learning activities, and students' responses to quantum learning method. The results demonstrate the ability to think creatively in high experimental class. The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant influence of quantum learning method toward creative thinking abilities of students in the material at the Human Motion Systems at SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. Berdasarkan observasi di SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo, kemampuan berpikir kreatif oleh siswa belum dikembangkan optimal. Alternatif  yang digunakan yaitu penggunaan metode quantum learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode quantum learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif oleh siswa pada materi pokok Sistem Gerak Pada Manusia. Penelitian merupakan studi eksperimen dengan desain pretes postes non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian  siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari  rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, N-gain. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa, dan  tanggapan siswa terhadap metode quantum learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif kelas eksperimen tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan metode quantum learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi Sistem Gerak pada Manusia SMA Negeri 1 Purbolinggo. Kata kunci : kemampuan berpikir kreatif, metode quantum learning, sistem gerak pada manusia.

Abstract

Based on observation and interview with biology teacher in SMP N 4 Gedongtataan, students learning activities and concept mastery were not optimally developed yet. An alternative that can be used to improve learning activities and concept mastery is using laboratory equipment. This study aims to understand the influence of laboratory equipment utilization towards student activities and concept mastery. This study is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample in this experiment are students from VIII C and VIII D which obtained from population by cluster random sampling method. Quantitative data obtained from average of pretest and posttest scores which statistically analyzed with U-test using SPSS version 17 in 95% confidence levels. Qualitative data are student’s concept mastery, learning activities and students responses about laboratory equipment utilization which descriptively analyzed. Result of this study shown that the average of students concept mastery in experimental class are higher than control (experiment= 65.81; control = 29.1). The average of student learning activities percentage in all observed aspects in experimental class shown higher enhancement than control (experiment = 79.9; control = 72.21) most of the students also gives positive responses to laboratory equipment utilization.  Key words: structure and function of plants tissues, laboratory equipment media

Abstract

The purpose of this study was know the influence of using learning model STAD through video in increasing activities and material mastery of students class X SMA 7 Bandar Lampung. The study design was pretest-postest non equivalent. X8 and X9 were samples of this study which was chosen by cluster random sampling. The research data were quantitative which was obtained from the average of pretest and posttest analyzed by using t-test or U test. The qualitative was learning activities which obtained from observation sheet and analyzed by index learning activities. The result showed that learning activities of experiment class increased (71.35%). The average of material mastery of students experiment class higher than control class (experiment=80,49; control=77,93). Thus, the conclusion was learning activities and material mastery of pollution area could be improved by using STAD through video.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran tipe STAD melalui media video dalam peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas X SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung. Desain penelitian ini adalah tes awal-tes akhir tak equivalen.  Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X8 dan X9 yang ditetapkan secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t atau uji U. Data kualitatif yaitu aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan indeks aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan (71,35%). Rata-rata penguasaan materi oleh siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (eksperimen = 80,49;  kontrol = 77,93). Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD melalui media video berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi Pencemaran Lingkungan oleh siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, media video, penguasaan materi, STAD

Abstract

One effort to improve the learning outcomes of natural science subjects, the researchers are interested in examining the effectiveness of cooperative learning. According to the theory of constructivism, learning is a construct knowledge based on prior knowledge. Thus, the ability to beginning students could be expected to affect the learning outcomes. Researchers applying two cooperative learning model type is the type Student Achievment Team Division (STAD) and Group Investigaton (GI) and the two classes. The technique used in this study is proces sampling techniques, and data collection and processing be conducted to obtain data on knowledge and attitudes. The instrument used was a test sheet and questionnaire. To analyze the data the normality test, homogeneity test, t test, and N-gain.Result of different of average from pretest and postest score get 60 percents for experiment class (STAD type) and 40 percents for control class (GI tipe). Result from average scores of questionnare get 70 percents for experiment class (STAD type) and 40 percent for control class (GI type). From the result of count above show that there is significant different and positive influence between knowledge result and student attitude which using coopertative learning model of STAD and cooperative learning model of GI.Keywords: Conservation, STAD learning model, GI, students' Knowledge, Attitudes of students, Mangrove Conservation
