Abstract

Pembangunan perumahan secara intensif yang dilakukan di Kota Pangkalpinang dengan kondisi yang minim ruang terbuka hijau menyebabkan tingginya limpasan permukaan pada musim hujan, dan berkurangnya pengisian cadangan air tanah. Hal tersebut menyebabkan terjadinya bencana banjir. Selain itu, rendahnya pengisian cadangan air tanah juga dapat menyebabkan kekeringan di musim kemarau. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan pengetahun tentang konsep tata kelola air yang baik dengan sistem drainase berwawasan lingkungan. Program ini terdiri dari dua kegiatan utama, yaitu sosialisasi dan pembuatan contoh implementasi teknologi konservasi air. Sosialisasi materi kegiatan dilakukan melalui penyebaran poster, sementara pembuatan contoh implementasi teknologi konservasi air dilakukan dengan pembangunan prototipe sumur resapan. Capaian telah didapatkan melalui kegiatan ini antara lain meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat setempat tentang konsep tata kelola air hujan berwawasan lingkungan, serta terbangunnya prototipe sumur resapan di tiga titik dalam Kawasan perumahan sebagai contoh aplikasi teknologi konservasi air hujan. Namun demikian, capaian dalam bentuk partisipasi aktif masyarakat secara langsung belum tercapai, karena adanya pembatasan fisik dalam situasi pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

A Construction of buildings on the beach is needed to provide facilities and infrastructure. An analysis of bearing capacity and foundation settlement for building construction is necessary to avoid structural failure. This study analyzed bearing capacity and foundation settlement on the East coast of Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Island Province, including Tikus Beach, Takari Beach and Karang Mas Air Anyir Beach, based on field data from Cone Penetration Test (CPT). Result showed that the level of soil consistency, bearing capacity, and foundation settlement can be analyzed by combining the structural loads for the 1 to 5 floor buildings. Bearing capacity of shallow foundation was calculated using the Meyerhof (1976) method, whereas the deep foundation is using the Meyerhof (1956) method. Settlement of shallow foundation was calculated using the Steinbrenner (1934) method, whereas the deep foundation is using the Vesic (1970) method. This study found the soil consistency levels at three locations had the range from medium to hard level. The analysis of foundation bearing capacity showed that the greater of soil bearing capacity, the smaller of foundation dimensions. The greater the load that must be held by the foundation, the greater the size of the foundation needed to withstand it. The analysis of the settlement showed that the smaller of the soil bearing capacity, the greater of settlement. The greater the load that must be withheld by the foundation, the foundation settlement will greater.

Abstract

Clay soil is the basic part of a building construction, but such type of soil has the stability problems, hence it needs to be stabilized to increase its bearing capacity. Some natural materials in Bangka Belitung Province have not been optimally utilized, e.g. coconut shells and bamboo, which can be used as stabilization materials. In this article, we compare the dry density of clay soil mixed with coconut shell charcoal powder to clay soil mixed with bamboo charcoal powder. The percentage of stabilizing material used is 5%, 10% and 15% of the dry soil weight. Soil classification is based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) standard including the low plasticity inorganic clay (CL) group and following the standards of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Classification (AASHTO) including the A-6 soil group. The compaction test result show that the dry density of the clay soil increases with the addition of stabilization agent using either coconut shell charcoal powder or bamboo charcoal powder. The results were almost the same where the difference was only about 0.001 (gr / cm3) for the stabilizer mixture of 5% and 10% as well as the difference of 0.002% (gr / cm3) for the stabilizer mixture of 15%. The increase in soil dry density indicates that the bearing capacity of clay soil increases with the increase in the percentage of stabilizing material

Abstract

Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) is a technology to extract coal deposits in the form of gas from mineral deposit without disassembling of overburden. There are some initial processes in UCG, one of them is cementing to glue the casing into the formation. This research-based laboratory using cement mixture that consists of Fire Mortar as the main ingredients with added Oil Well Cement (OWC) by 40%, 42.5%, 45%, 47.5%, 50%, 52.5%, 55%, 57.5% and 60% of the total weight of the cement mixture. Cement samples were then tested with hydration heat test, furnace test at temperatures of 300°C to 900°C and UCS test of a sample at normal temperature as well as samples that have undergone combustion at a certain temperature. Composition of OWC>50% have faster setting time on the 29th to 40th hours with maximum hydration temperature of 34.4°C on the 11th to the 12th hour as well as getting the optimal composition of Fire Mortar which is 42.5% and OWC which is 57.5%. Composition of 50-60% Fire Mortar have a heat resistance to a maximum of 900°C so they don’t experience failure and cracks which make a sample split. Ofter than that, composition of 50-60% OWC on average have a greater compressive strength with the highest compressive strength value of 1.75 MPa at a temperature of 500°C.

Abstract

PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk was one of the Indonesian State Owned Enterprises which conduct tocoal mining. During the process of coal mining, demolition overburden resulted in a change of forceand also set up new structures and caused differences in stress distribution thereby changing thestrength of the rock mass. This result the mining slope becomes unstable and could cause a lot ofharm, therefore the analysis of slope stability was carried out. This study was conducted todetermine the quality of the rock mass slope based on the value SMR (Slope Mass Rating), directionof failure using the analysis of kinematics by Dips software and Safety Factor value (SF) based onMorgenstern Price method using Software Geoslope / W 2007. The data used in this study includesdata UCS, RQD, spacing of discontinuity, discontinuity conditions, groundwater conditions and data ofdiscontinuity orientation. Data retrieval was divided into 9 scanline slopes. The analysis indicatedquality of the rock mass and degree of slope stability based on the SMR for scanline I, VII and IX werevery good with a very stable condition, Scanline II, III, IV, V, VI and VIII had good quality with a steadyslope conditions. The Possibility of slope failure occured only in several blocks for Scanline II, IV, V, VIand VIII. After the analysis of kinematics for Scanline III, IV and V had directions of failure to ScanlineIII was N 490 E, Scanline IV was N 500 E and Scanline V was N 480 E. Values of Safety Factor (SF)single slopes from 9 scanline was estimated to 3.254 - 44.737 (safe condition) and the overall slope of1.85 to 4.09 (safe condition). It was concluded that overall the existing slope on the location Subanwere in a safe condition for SF value >1.25.

Abstract

Jada Bahrin Village has a strategic location for the location of the development of fishing tourism areas because it is located on the outskirts of the Batu Rusa River channel. The development of fishing area tourism aims to increase the economic income of the village community and village government. Another goal of developing this area is so that Jada Barin Village can develop more because of the large number of tourists visiting. This service activity uses data collection methods and regional design or design. The document from the design of this fishing tourism area was welcomed by the village government for the basis of its development. The development of this fishing tourism area can later make Jada Bahrin Village more well developed.

Abstract

Tanah gambut merupakan salah satu jenis tanah yang daya dukung tanahnya rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan stabilisasi tanah. Metode perbaikan tanah yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah stabilisasi kimiawi menggunakan serbuk cangkang kerang dan fly ash. Serbuk cangkang kerang mengandung kalsium karbonat (CaCO3) yang akan mengikat partikel tanah dan fly ash yang memiliki kandungan silika (SiO2) memberikan pengaruh terhadap kenaikkan pH tanah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen di Laboratorium, standar pengujian menggunakan Standar Nasional Indonesia. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan tanah gambut asli tanpa campuran dan tanah gambut yang telah dicampurkan serbuk cangkang kerang dengan persetase 15%, 18%, 21% dan fly ash 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya bahan tambah dapat meningkatkan nilai CBR tanah gambut dan mengubah tingkat keasaman tanah gambut. Nilai CBR tanah gambut meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya persentase Serbuk Cangkang Kerang dan fly ash. Nilai CBR tertinggi terdapat pada persentase 21% Serbuk Cangkang Kerang dan 10% fly ash sebesar 4,938%, dibandingkan dengan nilai CBR tanah gambut asli sebesar 2,370%. pH tanah gambut asli yang didapat sebesar 2,87 dan pada pH tanah tambut yang telah ditambahkan Serbuk Cangkang Kerang dan Fly Ash sebesar 6.

Abstract

Community service activities in Jada Bahrin Village, are service activities carried out routinely by the Civil Engineering Department, Bangka Belitung University. In 2021, activities in this village are planned again. Initial information about the condition of the village and what the current needs of the village are is the basis for planning community service activities. Rainwater Reservoir (PAH) is a solution to overcome the limited availability of water in the dry season for residential buildings in Jada Bahrin Village. With the existence of PAH, the community is expected to be able to take advantage of the rainwater that is stored during the rainy season and use it during the dry season to meet water needs during the dry season

Abstract

Jada Bahrin Village is one of the assisted villages of the Faculty of Engineering so that the Department of Civil Engineering has in recent years been carrying out community service activities in this village. Service activities carried out at the request of the community and village officials. In 2022, a request from the community and village officials is in the form of building a dividing wall for public baths. This was conveyed by village officials because this facility is used by the community for daily activities such as bathing and washing clothes. This facility is used by many people because the availability of water in Jada Bahrin Village is still limited. The absence of adequate dividing walls makes people feel uncomfortable using this facility. With this problem, the service team intends to fulfill the wishes of this community through the survey, planning/design and implementation stages. With the construction of a dividing wall between men and women, the community feels comfortable using this public facility.

Abstract

Hutan Kota Sungailiat merupakan hutan wisata yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai tempat olahraga, perkemahan dan lomba. Manfaat revitalisasi hutan berbasis pendidikan adalah menghidupkan atau mengembangkan hutan kota sungailiat sebagai daya tarik masyarakat untuk rekreasi dan olahraga sekaligus sarana pembelajaran bagi anak-anak dengan adanya infrastruktur berbasis pendidikan tersebut. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini yakni berupa pembenahan fisik hutan kota Sungailiat yang berada di kecamatan Bukit Betung, Kecamatan Sungailiat, Kabupaten Bangka. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, potensi hutan kota sungailiat dapat dimaksimalkan secara menyeluruh terutama dalam aspek tempat wisata serta belajar.
