Abstract

Welding current greatly affects the strength of the material connection so that a study is needed considering the many uses of welding processes in industrial construction. This study aims to determine the effect of welding current on mechanical properties using the SMAW welding process with current variations of 100 A, 110 A and 120 A. The material used is ST60 steel with a thickness of 10 mm, a single V butt joint type with an angle of 70 °. From the results of tests that have been carried out on test specimens using current variations, data is obtained that the average stress value of each current variation is, current 100A = 25.49 Kgf / mm², current 110A = 27.23 Kgf / mm² and current 120A = 26.49 Kgf / mm². The average strain value of each current variation is, current 100A = 1.5%, current 110A = 2% and current 120A = 2.16%. The average elastic modulus value of each current variation is, current 100A = 16,360 N/mm², current 110A = 12,554 N/mm² and current 120A = 11,947 N/mm². Based on these data, the optimal current is 120A.

Abstract

Komoditas agribisnis florikultura mencakup tanaman hias daun dan bunga tangkai. Bunga tangkai merupakan jenis yang paling banyak digunakan dalam berbagai acara seperti pernikahan, keagamaan, kelahiran, ucapan selamat, dan kematian, sehingga menjadi peluang usaha yang menjanjikan. Jenis bunga yang populer di antaranya krisan, anggrek, gerbera, mawar, dan sedap malam. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dari wawancara dengan pengusaha florist dan data sekunder dari literatur. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling, karena menggunakan beberapa kriteria yang sudah ditentukan, kriteria untuk sampel ini adalah pedagang yang menjual bunga sedap malam, krisan, mawar, pikok, gerbera. Berdasarkan analisis, rata-rata total biaya bunga tangkai per bulan berkisar antara Rp.3.579.780 hingga Rp.6.665.819, dengan pendapatan berkisar antara Rp.3.823.214 hingga Rp.9.285.714. Break Even Point (BEP) produksi adalah 773 tangkai per bulan, sementara penjualan nyata mencapai 3.185 tangkai per bulan, yang menunjukkan keuntungan bagi pedagang. Nilai BEP harga adalah Rp.5.187 per tangkai dan BEP penerimaan Rp.5.118.892 per bulan. Nilai R/C untuk berbagai jenis bunga tangkai yang di atas 1 menunjukkan bahwa usaha florist di Kota Bekasi layak dijalankan dan menguntungkan.

Abstract

The implementation of a Student Information System at Mts. S Krueng Seumideun in Pidie Regency aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of managing student data. Previously, the school relied on manual methods using Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and report generation, which were slow and error-prone. This research focuses on designing, developing, and implementing a computerized system using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access 2007. The development process included several phases: feasibility study, system planning, system analysis, and implementation. The system features a Student Data Input Form that captures essential student information such as registration number, student ID, name, and academic details, streamlining data entry. A Main Menu was created to provide access to various administrative functions, including report generation and data retrieval. The system’s implementation involved coding, testing, and training staff to ensure smooth adoption. Performance testing showed that the new system was faster and more accurate than the previous manual methods. By automating administrative tasks, the system reduces human error, speeds up data processing, and allows for quicker, data-driven decision-making. The shift to a digital platform will enhance administrative efficiency, support better resource management, and improve the overall educational environment.

Abstract

Pesantren is an institution that serves as a platform for the younger generation to gain knowledge, particularly Islamic religious education. Santri, as the golden generation of the future, must be equipped with strong religious knowledge for their afterlife while also being motivated to pursue higher education as a preparation for their careers in today's complex and highly competitive global world. This program aims to enhance the motivation of santri at Pesantren Mathla'ul Anwar Karyabakti, Karawang Regency, to pursue higher education. Pesantren is chosen as the implementation site because it is where many santri live and learn, thus ensuring a significant impact on the target group. The implementation steps include organizing training for the Career Guidance Service Program, specifically designed to meet the needs of santri. The training materials cover concepts of career guidance services, career planning, motivation for further studies in higher education, and opportunities and challenges in the development of science and technology in the future. Additionally, practical applications such as case studies or simulations are also included. Through this program, santri are expected to enhance their understanding of career guidance services, enabling them to make more informed and responsible career planning decisions. Moreover, increasing the motivation to pursue higher education is expected to help santri plan better career directions for the future. The implementation of this PKM program is designed holistically and systematically to achieve clear and measurable career direction goals for the santri. Program evaluation is conducted to assess the level of understanding and behavioral changes among the santri after participating in the training. Feedback collection from participants and pesantren management is also involved to continually improve the program's quality. Thus, this PKM program is capable of making a positive contribution to enhancing the motivation of santri to continue to higher education, enabling them to be better prepared to face technological challenges and empower themselves in the future. Conclusion The training revealed that many santri have not yet determined their future careers or have a clear picture of the higher education pathways to pursue. This training serves as both motivation and socialization about the importance of determining future career directions for santri. Outputs of this community service program include a scientific article published in a nationally indexed Sinta journal, an activity video, a printed mass media article, and relevant intellectual property products (HKI).

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) and Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) in teaching photosynthesis and water quality at SDN 2 Lebo. The research is grounded in the need to enhance early science and technology literacy, particularly in understanding abstract concepts such as photosynthesis and its environmental influences. IoT is used to monitor real-time environmental parameters—light intensity, temperature, pH, and water turbidity. ChatGPT functions as an AI-based virtual assistant providing interactive explanations of the data. The study adopts a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. IoT devices were developed with cloud-connected sensors, and the ChatGPT chatbot was tailored to the learning context of elementary students. Implementation involved 60 fourth- and fifth-grade students. Results showed a 32% increase in students’ understanding of photosynthesis and improved participation in scientific discussions. This research recommends the integration of IoT and AI as an innovative approach to foster critical thinking, digital literacy, and environmental awareness in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using crossword puzzle media on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Ajangale. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Ajangale with a total of 30 students. The sampling technique was a saturated sampling technique so that the sample in this study was all students of class VIII totaling 30 students. The research instruments were in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets to determine students' learning interest. Data analysis included descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed a significant difference in the use of crossword puzzle media on students' learning interest. This is evidenced by the results of the paired samples t-test which showed that the calculated t value> t table (6.799> 2.045) and the significance test α = 0.05 showed a p value <α (0.000 <0.05). This is also proven by the results of observations of students' learning interests after using crossword puzzle media which showed an increase in the average student learning interest from the first meeting to the third meeting. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of crossword puzzle media (crossword puzzles) based on puzzle maker is effective for students' learning interests in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMP Negeri 5 Ajangale.
