Abstract

The imbalance between cognitive and affective aspects in the formal education system in Indonesia indicates the need for a more adaptive and integrative counselling service approach. This research aims to develop an educational counselling service management model that integrates the cognitive behavioural therapy approach with the deep learning approach as a solution to the problem. Using a literature review method of recent literature (2023-2024), this article identifies the main contributions of deep learning in learning, particularly in terms of learning personalisation, emotional detection, and data-driven psychological intervention. The findings show that the integration of deep learning and cognitive behavioural therapy enables the development of a counselling model that is able to detect learners' psychological needs in real-time and provide appropriate interventions automatically. The results are expected to strengthen the psychosocial support system in the educational environment, improve learners' well-being, and encourage the creation of a holistic and sustainable learning environment. This research provides a conceptual contribution to the development of deep learning adaptive education policies that are more responsive to the needs of students as a whole.

Abstract

Objective: This research aimed to (1) produce information about the components needed for the development of multiple intelligence-based learning management, (2) produce a model of multiple intelligence-based learning management, and (3) provide information on the model’s effectiveness. Novelty: The study offers a structured model of learning management specifically designed to integrate multiple intelligences, addressing the diverse abilities of students in elementary schools. Methods: The research involved three stages—preliminary study, model development, and testing—conducted in several provinces with tryouts in thirteen elementary schools, using data from headmasters and teachers collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, and analyzed descriptively. Results: The research produced a multiple intelligence-based learning management model characterized by materials and groupings tailored to students’ intelligences, thematic and active learning approaches, comprehensive evaluation, outing class activities, collaboration with parents and stakeholders, and visionary leadership. The model showed very good results, with content testing scoring 91.58% and applicability testing 92.20%. Conclusions: The findings demonstrate that the developed model is both effective and practical, offering a comprehensive framework for implementing multiple intelligence-based learning management in elementary schools.

Abstract

The problem in distance learning in Geography subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Rongkop is the lack of student discipline in responding to and completing assignments given by the teacher. Based on observations made during the first three months of the odd semester 2021/2022, the average student attendance rate in distance learning was 77%. Meanwhile, students have an average of 72% discipline in submitting assignments or responding to teachers. This is possible because teachers have not instilled positive discipline in students, so the results are less than optimal. The aim of this research is to describe the general picture of the application of positive discipline in the classroom, including the preparation of class agreements, implementation, and results. The research results show that the application of positive discipline through class agreements has a positive impact on teachers and students. The level of student discipline in completing assignments is 88%, and the average attendance rate is 90% with very good qualifications. The results of interviews with students conducted via Google Forms and distributed by teachers regarding the use of positive discipline received a very positive response, with 97% giving a positive response. As a result, teachers must use positive discipline during distance learning. This shows that even though learning is distance learning, critical assessment of learning can still be carried out.
