Abstract

The current elections are heavily influenced by the advancements in information technology, one of which is the emergence of the video-sharing application YouTube. The research aims to analyze the utilization of MetroTV's social media platform YouTube as a campaign medium for Anies Baswedan, focusing on the roles of media, neutrality, openness, and ethics. This qualitative research employs content analysis methodology. The findings are as follows: Role: Metro TV utilizes the YouTube platform to enhance political content, particularly related to Anies Baswedan, strengthening the role of social media in shaping public opinion; Neutrality: Concerns arise regarding Metro TV's neutrality in presenting political content, especially with the increase in Anies Baswedan-related content, raising questions about fair access in delivering political messages; Openness: Metro TV demonstrates openness by uploading "urge Anies" content, bolstering Anies Baswedan's positive image in the eyes of the public; Ethics: In presenting political content, Metro TV needs to adhere to broadcasting ethics to ensure content aligns with its original context and does not deviate from the intended message substance. Abstract

Gerakan sosial berbasis lingkungan, seperti Serlok Bantaran Cikapundung, memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan lingkungan. Perubahan era digital telah membuka peluang untuk memperluas jangkauan kampanye lingkungan melalui strategi komunikasi yang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi digital dalam strategi gerakan sosial Serlok Bantaran Cikapundung, dengan fokus pada kombinasi metode tradisional dan digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam. Data dianalisis untuk memahami strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan, hambatan yang dihadapi, serta solusi yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Serlok Bantaran berhasil memadukan komunikasi tatap muka melalui tokoh masyarakat dengan media digital, seperti WhatsApp, Facebook, dan Instagram, untuk menyebarluaskan pesan lingkungan. Inovasi seperti konten visual edukatif, tantangan digital, dan grup komunitas meningkatkan keterlibatan masyarakat lintas generasi. Tantangan seperti literasi digital rendah dan resistensi budaya diatasi melalui pelatihan, adaptasi lokal, dan insentif partisipasi. Kesimpulannya, kombinasi strategi komunikasi tradisional dan digital mampu menciptakan pendekatan yang inklusif dan adaptif, menjadikan masyarakat sebagai bagian aktif dalam konservasi lingkungan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi implementasi kampanye lingkungan serupa di era digital.

Abstract

Saat ini, beragam media hadir untuk menyajikan berbagai informasi dan berita kepada pembacanya, salah satunya adalah media IDNTImes.com. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana framing politik identitas yang dilakukan oleh media IDNTimes.com dengan menggunakan analisis framming Robert N.Etman. Mendekati pemilu 2024 isu politik identitas semakin mencuat. Isu ini pertama kali mulai ramai mencuat semejak pemilu DKI pada 2017 lalu. Media memiliki peran dan tanggungjawab untuk mengatasi ancaman dari politik identitas ini, salah satunya seperti yang dilakukan oleh IDNTimes.com. Penelitian ini diteliti dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan proses pengumpulan data-data melalui wawancara mendalam dan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyajikan berita, IDNTimes berkomitmen untuk menyajikan berita yang sesuai dengan fakta-fakta di lapangan serta sangat menghindari clickbait. Karena, hal tersebut dapat membodohi dan menyesatkan para pembacanya. Sesuai dengan tugas dari media, IDNTimes.com terus berkomitmen untuk menyajikan berita dan informasi yang dapat mengedukasi dan memberikan manfaat yang positif. Penelitian ini juga melihat peran media massa dan media online dalam menghadapi politik identitas. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media massa dan media online sangat berpengaruh dalam framing politik identitas serta kuatnya pengaruh hal-hal tertentu terhadap pencapaian politik khususnya pada saat pemilu

Abstract

This study examines the application of big data journalism by Matabandung.pikiran-rakyat.com, which utilizes big data technology to enrich and deepen the information presented to readers. The background of this research is driven by the rapid development of digital technology and big data, which offers new opportunities for the media to improve journalism quality. The aim of this research is to understand how Matabandung implements big data in the news production process, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in this process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving interviews with the editorial leader and loyal readers of Matabandung. The findings show that Matabandung uses big data to enhance news content and ensure that the information presented is more relevant and accurate. However, the management still maintains journalistic ethics, such as verification and source transparency, to uphold the media's credibility amid the increasing competition in digital media. In conclusion, the application of big data journalism at Matabandung has a positive impact on improving journalism quality while prioritizing integrity and the accuracy of the information delivered to the public.

Abstract

Kabupaten Bandung menjadi salah satu daerah di Jawa Barat yang memiliki beban kasus kekurangan gizi (stuntung) tertinggi. Masalah stunting pada anak di Kabupaten Bandung  harus menjadi tanggungjawab semua kalangan di wilayah itu. Karena itu semua pemangku kepentingan terkait harus melakukan upaya kolaborasi dalam menangani masalah stunting ini sesuai dengan kewenangan masing-masing. Masalah stunting bukan saja masalah medis semata, melainakn banyak faktor penyebabnya, salah satunya adalah perilaku kesehatan masyakat yang masih buruk. Komunikasi kesehatan menawarkan solusi yaitu dengan merubah perilaku masyarakat, melalui advokasi kesehatan, mobiliasi sosial dan edukasi kesehatan. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tahapan komunikasi kesehatan melalui workshop kesehatan oleh relawan kader stunting di Desa Bojong Emas Kecamatan Solokan Jeruk Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan antusiasme para peserta workshop, serta meningkatnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman para kader relawan stunting dalam mengimplementasikan tahapan-tahapan komunikasi kesehatan dalam penanganan stunting di wilayahnya. Pihak pemerintahan desa setempat menyatakan bahwa kegiatan PPM memberikan manfaat dalam koordinasi dan konsolidasi penanganan stunting di sana

Abstract

Take Me Out Indonesia is a reality TV show that brings together people who are looking for life partners. The format of the show involves several stages of introduction and challenges designed to help participants showcase their personalities and interests. The objective of this study is to analyze the strategies devised by the creative team of Take Me Out Indonesia to maintain its ratings. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews. The results of this study indicate that the production process of "Take Me Out Indonesia" involves creative strategies across pre-production, production, and post-production stages. "Take Me Out Indonesia" is a program that explores numerous romance and matchmaking stories aired on the MNCTV channel. The creative strategies implemented ensure that the production process runs optimally and achieves the expected ratings, thereby sustaining the show over the desired period. Abstract

This research explores the communication behaviors of Afghan international students at IPB University, focusing on their cross-cultural social interactions. International students often encounter communication barriers due to differences in language, cultural norms, and social values, which can impact their academic adaptation. This study employed a qualitative approach, conducting in-depth interviews with five Afghan students. The findings indicate that students adopt verbal and nonverbal communication strategies reflecting their native culture while simultaneously attempting to adjust to local customs. They experience challenges like language limitations, cultural misunderstandings, and social stereotypes but show adaptive capacity through partial assimilation and participation in multicultural communities. Utilizing Face-Negotiation Theory and Cultural Adaptation Theory, the study analyzes their identity negotiation and social relationships. The research suggests that the presence of international students contributes to Indonesia's cultural diplomacy, with universities acting as non-state actors. Therefore, institutional support and cultural mentoring programs are essential to strengthen educational diplomacy and create an inclusive, globally competitive campus. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru serta tenaga kependidikan (tendik) di SMAN 2 Kota Bandung dalam memanfaatkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) secara optimal dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan manajerial sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 Januari 2025 di Aula SMAN 2 Kota Bandung dan diikuti oleh 36 peserta yang terdiri dari guru dan tendik. Bentuk kegiatan mencakup ceramah, seminar interaktif, praktik langsung penggunaan aplikasi AI, serta sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab untuk menjawab persoalan-persoalan nyata yang dihadapi peserta di sekolah. Kegiatan ini terselenggara atas kerja sama antara Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) dengan pihak sekolah, sebagai bagian dari komitmen akademisi dalam menjawab tantangan digitalisasi pendidikan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari para peserta serta adanya peningkatan pemahaman terhadap berbagai platform dan alat AI yang dapat menunjang proses belajar mengajar maupun pengelolaan administrasi sekolah. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif awal terhadap kesiapan digital pendidik di era transformasi teknologi. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah pentingnya pelatihan lanjutan secara berkala dan pembentukan komunitas belajar AI di sekolah sebagai wadah berbagi pengetahuan dan praktik baik lanjutan dan pengembangan komunitas pembelajar AI di tingkat sekolah.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital technology has transformed social media into the primary platform for information dissemination. While it offers speed and accessibility, social media also enables the uncontrolled spread of misinformation and hoaxes. This study aims to describe the pattern of hoax dissemination on social media from a digital communication perspective and to analyze how Indonesian Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law) responds to this phenomenon from a legal standpoint. Using a descriptive qualitative method based on literature review, this study combines communication theories—particularly framing and agenda setting—with normative legal analysis. Hoaxes are often framed emotionally and sensationally to attract public attention and manipulate perception. Through agenda setting mechanisms, such content dominates digital discourse, reinforcing its perceived importance regardless of truth. The findings suggest that the spread of hoaxes is driven not only by content but also by algorithmic amplification and public vulnerability due to low digital literacy. While the ITE Law provides a legal framework to address online misinformation, its enforcement faces challenges such as ambiguous legal language and difficulties in proving intent. Therefore, an interdisciplinary approach combining communication strategy and legal reform is needed to effectively combat the hoax epidemic. This study contributes to both academic discourse and policy recommendations aimed at building a more informed and resilient digital society.

Abstract

he family development program is one part of the Bangga Kencana Program, implemented as an effort to realize quality families living in a healthy environment. Adolescents as a bride-to-be become the focus of family development and stunting programs need to be prepared to live a family life in an effort to prevent stunting. This study aims to analyze the role of family communication and the efforts that have been made in family life preparation for adolescents to prevent stunting. This study uses a qualitative approach using content analysis techniques towards available documents. Findings on the role of family communication in family life preparation for adolescents to prevent stunting are very important for family development through the role of the family as a communication system and the role of parents in building intimate relationships with family members. So it is recommended to apply a family communication approach in family life preparation for adolescents to prevent stunting, by emphasizing the role of the family as a communication system. This study has limitations on the number of documents in the content analysis, so for further study it is recommended to increase the number of documents.
