Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Timely completion of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is essential for ensuring continuity of care, administrative efficiency, and hospital accreditation compliance. However, delays in EMR closing remain a common problem in hospital services. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the determinants of EMR closing delays using the Human–Organization–Technology Fit (HOT-Fit) model. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 150 healthcare professionals involved in EMR documentation processes. Data were collected using structured questionnaires based on HOT-Fit dimensions, including human, organizational, and technological factors. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Human factors (β = -0.241; p = 0.002), organizational factors (β = -0.398; p < 0.001), and technological factors (β = -0.219; p = 0.004) significantly influenced EMR closing delays. Organizational factors were identified as the strongest predictor. The regression model explained 56.4% of the variance in EMR closing delays (Adjusted R² = 0.564). Better alignment between human, organizational, and technological components was associated with improved EMR closing timeliness. Conclusion: EMR closing delays are influenced by multidimensional factors involving human, organizational, and technological components. Strengthening organizational support, improving user competency, and optimizing EMR system performance are important strategies to reduce delays and improve hospital service quality.

Abstract

Scheduling is a common need nowadays. One example is hospitals. Hospitals need a scheduling process to schedule doctors who will be on duty and use a room. This is due to the large number of doctors and the limited number of rooms, so a scheduling system is needed as needed. Problems that occur at Petala Bumi Hospital, the number of doctors on duty in the emergency room is quite large. However, there is confusion from management in managing the schedule of doctors in the emergency room. This research is a development of the Graph coloring method carried out in the preparation of a doctor's schedule at the hospital. This research was conducted to overcome scheduling problems that are often inappropriate and usually need to be corrected repeatedly in hospitals. The methods used to perform scheduling are quite diverse, one of which is the Graph coloring method. This study aims to determine the application of graph coloring in compiling a doctor's schedule. This research is a type of R&D research with a system design design with the application of graph coloring. Graph coloring is done for four days because the graph coloring pattern matrix repeats after the fourth day. During the four-day preparation, graph coloring has 10 colors or chromatic numbers assuming three shifts and two doctors in one shift. Therefore, the optimization of the doctor's schedule preparation at the Emergency Room of Petala Bumi Hospital can be done with at least 10 doctors

Abstract

Pharmacy services play an important role in improving the quality of healthcare services. Based on observations conducted at Annisa Medika 1 Primary Clinic Pekanbaru, the existing pharmacy queue system was still integrated with other healthcare services, resulting in unorganized queue management, the absence of a dedicated pharmacy queue monitoring system, and the lack of estimated waiting time information for patients. This study aimed to develop a web-based pharmacy queue information system to improve the effectiveness of pharmacy services at Annisa Medika 1 Primary Clinic Pekanbaru. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Waterfall development method, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to pharmacy staff and patients. System evaluation included functional testing (Black Box Testing) and feasibility testing using the Guttman Scale, while the data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative methods. The results showed that all system features functioned properly based on the Black Box Testing results. The feasibility test yielded a score of 93.3% from pharmacy staff, 86.3% from patients, and an overall feasibility score of 87.0%, indicating that the system is feasible for implementation. The developed system assists pharmacy staff in managing pharmacy queues and enables patients to access queue information quickly, easily, and efficiently. Therefore, the web-based pharmacy queue information system is considered feasible to support pharmacy services at Annisa Medika 1 Primary Clinic Pekanbaru.
