Abstract

This study aims to see the description of the following. First, the ability to write a narrative essay using the technique of making pictures of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu. Second, the ability to write narrative essay using poetry paraphrase technique of grade X SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu. Third, the comparative ability to write narrative essay using the technique of picture storytelling with poetry paraphrasing technique of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu. The subjects of this study were the students of grade X SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu which amounted to 30 people. The type of research used is quantitative research with descriptive method. This research data is obtained through narrative writing test using image-making techniques and narrative writing test using poetry paraphrase technique. The test of narrative writing ability is used to know the comparative ability to write narrative essay using the technique of picture storytelling with poetry paraphrasing technique of grade X students of SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu with data analysis technique done descriptively. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions are obtained. First, the ability to write a narrative essay using the technique of making pictures of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu is generally quite good (76.67). Second, the ability to write a narrative essay using poetry paraphrase technique of grade X SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu is generally more than enough (69,5).

Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the results of the evaluation of the 2013 curriculum implementation process in the assessment of learning outcomes conducted by Indonesian and English language subject teachers in in the Bengkulu City Ja-Alhaq MTS and explain the gap between absolute standards of implementation and the implementation of learning outcomes assessment conducted by Indonesian subject teachers and English in MTS Ja-Alhaq Kota Bengkulu. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique starts from identifying data, classifying data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the process of implementing student learning outcomes conducted by English teachers of Indonesian language teachers was not fully in accordance with what was requested by K13, the assessment of aspects of knowledge competence was still dominated by written test techniques, and assessment for skills competency measurement was only done with assessment techniques practice. Then, there are some gaps between the absolute standards of implementation and the implementation of student learning outcomes assessment conducted by English teachers and Indonesian teachers who are the subjects of this research.

Abstract

Education makes the needs of every human being, as an effort to maximize all the potential of the creator in order to become our human being. No exception for individuals who physically and psychologically have deficiencies and weaknesses called Children with Special Needs (ABK). To optimize the potential of these individuals, an appropriate learning pattern is needed, especially in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education. Al Aufa SDIT is an educational institution that provides Inclusive education services for ABK. Implement learning at SDIT Al Aufa using teacher and media learning patterns. Where this learning activity begins with compiling learning objectives, determining teaching material, establishing learning methods and media and evaluation instruments arranged simply. While learning activities in the classroom encountered several obstacles, namely the characteristics of ABK who were hyperactive, had difficulty communicating/ socializing and were slow in responding to the stimulus provided.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam proses pembelajaran diperlukan sebuah bahan ajar yang menarik dan mudah dimengerti bagi siswa, salah bahan ajar yang bisa diciptakan oleh guru seperti benda yang dapat memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran agar lebih menarik. Pembuatan modul yang inovatif dibutuhkan cara penyusunan yang dapat mengembangkan modul menjadi menarik dan menyenangkan sehingga memotivasi siswa untuk belajar dan menumbuhkan minat siswa dalam belajar. Model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok ini dapat digunakan untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir siswa secara mandiri, dan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif mulai dari tahap pertama pada saat proses pembelajaran sampai dengan tahap akhir pros pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D dengan menggunakan salah satu jenis model pengembangan yakni model Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi penulis menjadi tujuh tahapan saja dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupa wawancara, dokumentasi, angket/kuisioner dan tes. Hasil dari produk yang dikembangkan “Sangat Layak dan Sangat Menarik” untuk dijadikan bahan ajar, penilaian tersebut dihasilkan berdasarkan validasi produk oleh ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media/desain. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan telah berhasil menjadi sebuah bahan ajar untuk peserta didik karena modul yang dikembangkan mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik dalam kegiatan belajar pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khususnya pada materi menulis teks pidato.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form and symbolic meaning of the Temu Nganten tradition in the Javanese community of Tanjung Rasa Hamlet, Tanjung Harapan Village, Ulok Kupai District, Bengkulu Utara Regency, Bengkulu Province. This tradition is part of the series of rituals in Javanese traditional wedding ceremonies, involving various media and imbued with cultural symbols and values. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research collects data through interviews, observations, and documentation to understand the visual elements and deeper meanings of the Temu Nganten tradition. The findings reveal that the Temu Nganten tradition encompasses verbal symbols such as the chanting of Shalawat Asyraqal and Kebo Ghiro, as well as non-verbal symbols such as the balangan sirih ritual, stepping on an egg (pidhak hantiga), sindur, sembah sungkem, and dahar klimah. These symbols reflect values of loyalty, harmony, respect, and readiness to start a harmonious married life for the couple. This study emphasizes the importance of preserving the Temu Nganten tradition as part of the cultural identity of the Javanese community and as an effort to safeguard the continuity of local cultural heritage amid ongoing modernization.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to discuss the lexical and cultural meaning of naming villages in Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province, which includes 5 of the 13 existing Villages. This research categorizes them based on naming system aspects, (1) embodiment aspects, (2) social aspects, (3) cultural aspects. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data source was obtained from the Traditional Chair of Pondok Besi Subdistrict and the Traditional Chair of Berkas Subdistrict. The data obtained was in the form of interview data in Teluk Segara District. The results of this research reveal that the toponymy of the names of sub-districts in Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City consists of various categories, including water elements, community social interactions, flora, tangible elements, folklore, nature, settlement patterns, activities, landforms, and building.

Abstract

Tradisi memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk identitas sosial dan budaya suatu masyarakat. Ritus Malam Nujuh Likur pada masyarakat Suku Serawai di Desa Darat Sawah, Kecamatan Seginim, Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan, merupakan salah satu praktik budaya religius yang masih dilestarikan dan memiliki makna multidimensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna simbolik ritus Malam Nujuh Likur serta menjelaskan fungsi sosial dan religiusnya dalam konteks kehidupan masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ritus Malam Nujuh Likur mengandung simbol-simbol yang merepresentasikan kesederhanaan, keteguhan iman, kebersihan hati, kebersamaan, dan penghormatan. Fungsi utamanya meliputi penguatan nilai religius, peningkatan solidaritas sosial, serta pelestarian identitas budaya lokal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi akademik terhadap kajian antropologi budaya dan menjadi referensi praktis bagi strategi pelestarian tradisi berbasis masyarakat lokal di tengah tantangan modernisasi dan globalisasi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kompetensi literasi, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di era globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada materi menulis teks drama untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu, menilai kelayakannya, serta menganalisis respon siswa terhadap modul tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) dengan model Borg & Gall yang dimodifikasi oleh Sugiyono, melalui tujuh tahap utama: analisis kebutuhan, pengumpulan data, perancangan desain produk, validasi ahli, revisi, uji coba terbatas, dan uji coba lapangan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas VIII dan guru bahasa Indonesia, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, wawancara, dan lembar validasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan modul termasuk kategori “sangat layak” dengan rata-rata penilaian ahli mencapai 91%, sementara uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh persentase keberhasilan 89% dan uji coba lapangan mencapai 91%. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa modul pembelajaran efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks drama, memotivasi siswa, dan memudahkan guru dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tradisi memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk identitas sosial dan kultural masyarakat serta menjadi instrumen penting dalam pewarisan nilai, norma, dan simbol budaya dari generasi ke generasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk, makna, dan fungsi simbolik ritus mulang ayik serta menganalisis relevansinya dalam konteks pelestarian budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap tokoh adat, dukun pemandi, orang tua bayi, dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ritus mulang ayik melibatkan tiga tahapan utama tahap awal, tahap inti, dan tahap akhir dengan penggunaan 20 perlengkapan simbolik yang mencerminkan perlindungan, doa keselamatan, dan identitas budaya. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa ritus ini memiliki fungsi biologis, sosial, dan religius sekaligus menjadi media penguatan solidaritas dan kohesi sosial masyarakat Rejang. Penelitian ini juga mengungkap adanya tantangan modernisasi dan penurunan partisipasi generasi muda, sehingga diperlukan strategi pelestarian adaptif untuk mempertahankan eksistensi ritus mulang ayik sebagai warisan budaya takbenda yang bernilai tinggi
