Abstract

The national roads in Gorontalo City serve as the main transportation routes connecting the city to other regions in Sulawesi and even across provinces. This research aims to analyze traffic flow and vehicle speed, as well as to predict traffic growth over the next ten years using the Moving Car Observer method. The study was conducted on four national road segments: Prof. Dr. H.B. Jassin Street, Nani Wartabone Street, Yos Sudarso Street, and Mayor Dullah Street. Data were collected through moving vehicle surveys and analyzed using formulas from the Bina Marga Traffic Travel Time Calculation Guide No. 001/T/BNKT/1990. The results of the study show that the highest traffic flow occurred on H.B. Jassin road in the afternoon, reaching 1,264 PCU/hour, while the lowest was recorded on Yos Sudarso road in the afternoon at 250.4 PCU/hour. The highest speed was observed on Mayor Dullah road in the afternoon at 28.09 km/h, and the lowest on H.B. Jassin road in the afternoon at 18.37 km/h. Specifically, H.B. Jassin road experienced a 25.4% increase in traffic flow with a 22.8% decrease in speed; Nani Wartabone road saw a 34.7% increase in flow and a 3.1% increase in speed; Yos Sudarso road experienced an 11.8% decrease in flow and an 8.5% decrease in speed; while Mayor Dullah road showed a 29.3% increase in flow and a 10.5% increase in speed.

Abstract

Transportation plays a crucial role in supporting daily human activities, with significant impacts on economic, social, and environmental aspects. In Gorontalo City, one of the main challenges is traffic congestion, particularly along Prof. DR. H.B. Jassin Street, which experiences high mobility due to diverse land use functions. This condition highlights the need to examine the extent to which land use influences travel attraction on this corridor. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of land use variables—including building area, number of employees, and number of visitors—on travel attraction along Prof. DR. H.B. Jassin Street. The research employed field observations, surveys, and quantitative analysis using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results indicate that all three independent variables significantly affect travel attraction, with building area emerging as the most dominant factor in explaining variations in travel demand. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination shows that the regression model is capable of explaining most of the variations in travel attraction. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating land use considerations into urban transportation planning. Consequently, the study recommends the need for stricter land use management, improved transportation systems, and better road infrastructure arrangements to reduce traffic congestion while enhancing the quality of the urban environment in a more sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi hukum dan nilai keislaman kepada remaja dalam rangka pencegahan perilaku menyimpang LGBT di lingkungan sekolah. Kegiatan difokuskan di SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa, Kabupaten Bone Bolango, dengan melibatkan siswa, guru, orang tua, dan BKOW Provinsi Gorontalo sebagai mitra. Metode yang digunakan meliputi seminar interaktif, dan parenting class berbasis nilai hukum dan budaya lokal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap aspek hukum dan moralitas Islam, serta munculnya ruang konsultatif di mana siswa dapat menyampaikan keresahan mereka secara terbuka kepada narasumber. Edukasi yang bersifat empatik dan dialogis terbukti efektif dalam membentengi remaja dari pengaruh ideologi LGBT dan memperkuat identitas mereka sebagai generasi yang beriman, bermoral, dan sadar hukum.

Abstract

Kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak industri dan material konstruksi, khususnya aspal, memberikan tekanan terhadap perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pekerjaan infrastruktur jalan. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya penyesuaian desain, harga satuan, dan Rencana Anggaran Biaya agar pelaksanaan pekerjaan fisik tetap sesuai dengan standar teknis, kebutuhan lapangan, dan ketersediaan anggaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan teknis kepada Bidang Bina Marga Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang Kota Gorontalo dalam melakukan reviu desain dan harga terhadap pekerjaan fisik Tahun Anggaran 2026. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui koordinasi kelembagaan, telaah dokumen teknis, rapat pembahasan bersama konsultan perencana dan Pejabat Pelaksana Teknis Kegiatan, identifikasi ketidaksesuaian antara gambar rencana dan Rencana Anggaran Biaya, serta penyusunan rekomendasi teknis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa empat paket pekerjaan, yaitu Jalan Pangeran Hidayat 2, Jalan Taman Buah, Jalan Palma, dan kawasan parkiran kompleks Kantor Wali Kota, masih memerlukan penyempurnaan pada aspek sinkronisasi gambar dan RAB, ketebalan lapisan perkerasan, pekerjaan pelengkap jalan, fondasi tiang lampu, timbunan pilihan, serta Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Konstruksi. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas perencanaan teknis, mengurangi risiko ketidaksesuaian biaya, dan mendukung pelaksanaan pembangunan infrastruktur jalan yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi perkerasan jalan menggunakan metode Surface Distress Index (SDI) dan International Roughness Index (IRI), serta memberikan rekomendasi penanganan yang tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada ruas Jalan Rusli Datau kerusakan paling banyak berupa tambalan, retak dan lubang, Sedangkan pada Ruas Jalan Tapa–Atinggola kerusakan berupa pelepasan butiran, retak,  tambalan, dan lubang. Hasil pengukuran SDI dan IRI masing – masing sebesar 11.59 dan 2.11 untuk Jalan Rusli Datau, serta 18.00 dan 2.44 untuk ruas Jalan Tapa–Atinggola, menunjukan kondisi perkerasan dalam kategori baik (SDI <50, IRI <4). Meskipun demikian, pemeliharaan rutin tetap diperlukan untuk mempertahankan kinerja struktural fungsional jalan serta mencegah penurunan kondisi. Kegiatan pemeliharaan yang dianjurkan meliputi pemotongan tumbuhan liar, penambalan permukaan, dan pengisian retak (sealing), guna menjamin kenyamanan dan keselamatan pengguna jalan. Penelitian ini memberikan dasar ilmiah untuk perencanaan pemeliharaan jalan secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: metode Surface Distress Index (SDI), International Roughness Index (IRI), pemeliharaan rutin

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam penelitian ini digunakan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan tingkat pemenuhan sarana praktik bengkel, dengan cara menabulasi data dan menghitung persentase pemenuhan melalui perbandingan antara skor riil dan skor acuan yang dikalikan seratus persen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan melibatkan dua orang teknisi kepala bengkel sebagai responden, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung terstruktur yang terdiri atas 13 pertanyaan terkait pemenuhan sarana praktik bengkel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sarana praktik bengkel Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Perumahan di SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo secara umum telah mampu menunjang proses pembelajaran praktik, dengan tingkat kelayakan perabot berada pada kategori sangat layak dan mencapai persentase 100%, peralatan praktik berada pada kategori layak dengan tingkat pencapaian peralatan utama sebesar 70,83% dan peralatan pendukung sebesar 95%, serta media pembelajaran dan perlengkapan lain berada pada kategori layak dengan tingkat pencapaian 100%, yang secara keseluruhan mengindikasikan bahwa sarana praktik telah memenuhi standar dan mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran praktik secara efektif. Abstract: In this study, a descriptive statistical analysis was employed to describe the level of fulfillment of workshop practice facilities by tabulating the data and calculating the percentage of fulfillment through a comparison between the actual score and the reference score multiplied by one hundred percent. The sampling technique used was total sampling, involving two chief workshop technicians as respondents, while data were collected through structured face-to-face interviews consisting of 13 questions related to the fulfillment of workshop practice facilities. The results indicate that the workshop practice facilities for the Construction and Housing Engineering Competency at Public Vocational High School 3 Gorontalo generally have been able to support the practical learning process, with the feasibility level of workshop furniture categorized as very feasible and achieving 100%, practical equipment categorized as feasible with an achievement level of 70.83% for main equipment and 95% for supporting equipment, and learning media as well as other supporting facilities categorized as feasible with an achievement level of 100%, which overall suggests that the available facilities meet the required standards and effectively support the implementation of practical learning.

Abstract

Permasalahan simpang pada umumnya menyebabkan terjadinya kemacetan, seperti pada Simpang Jalan Raja Wadipalapa – Jalan Ahmad Hiola – Jalan Pemuda yang merupakan bagian dari koridor pengumpan (feeder) pergerakan komuter, angkutan barang, dan angkutan umum antarwilayah. Dengan karakteristik guna lahan yang kompleks, meliputi adanya Terminal Tipe A, pasar tradisional dan kawasan perumahan menyebabkan sering terjadinya macet. Hasil penelitian dengan menganalisis dampak hambatan samping terhadap tingkat pelayanan simpang serta pemodelan simulasi mikroskopik PTV VISSIM didapatkan kinerja simpang dengan nilai derajat kejenuhan 1,29 dan tundaan 101,18 detik/smp dengan tingkat pelayanan F (buruk sekali). Simulasi PTV VISSIM mengonfirmasi adanya penurunan kecepatan rata-rata dan peningkatan panjang antrean. Alternatif solusi dalam penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya dilakukan penambahan lebar pendekat, pelarangan gerakan belok kanan dan penerapan sistem 1 (satu) arah guna meningkatkan kapasitas efektif dan kelancaran arus lalu lintas pada kawasan tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of respondents and trips, analyze the factors that influence the pull of travel, and develop a mathematical model of the pull of travel to Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Regional General Hospital, Gorontalo City. This descriptive quantitative study was conducted from May to July 2026 using an accidental sampling technique on 102 respondents consisting of patients, escorts, visitors, and medical personnel. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS 21 software. The results showed that the characteristics of visitors were dominated by the productive age group (36–45 years) at 45.10%, with the majority status as visitors (47.06%). The partial test (t-test) proved that the urgency scale variable had a significant partial effect (p = 0.012 < 0.05), while the time and purpose of the visit did not have a significant effect. The resulting trip attraction mathematical model is Y = 1.136 + 0.301X₄ + 0.259X₈ + 0.256X₁₀ with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.642 (64.2%). The practical implications of this study provide strategic recommendations for hospital management and the Department of Transportation in mitigating congestion generation and optimizing parking capacity management during peak hours. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik responden dan perjalanan, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tarikan perjalanan, serta menyusun model matematis tarikan perjalanan menuju RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei hingga Juli 2026 dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling terhadap 102 responden yang terdiri dari pasien, pengantar, pembesuk, dan tenaga medis. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan perangkat lunak SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pengunjung didominasi oleh kelompok usia produktif (36–45 tahun) sebesar 45,10%, dengan status mayoritas sebagai pembesuk (47,06%). Uji parsial (uji t) membuktikan variabel skala urgensi berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial (p = 0,012 < 0,05), sedangkan waktu dan tujuan kunjungan tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Model matematis tarikan perjalanan yang dihasilkan adalah Y = 1,136 + 0,301X₄ + 0,259X₈ + 0,256X₁₀ dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,642 (64,2%). Implikasi praktis penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi pihak manajemen rumah sakit dan Dinas Perhubungan dalam memitigasi bangkitan kemacetan serta mengoptimalkan manajemen kapasitas parkir pada jam puncak.

Abstract

Fixed-time traffic signals allocate a constant green duration regardless of how vehicle demand fluctuates across approaches. That rigidity becomes critical once an approach enters oversaturation, that is, once its degree of saturation x, the ratio of the arrival rate per cycle to the capacity the signal makes available per cycle, reaches or exceeds unity, so that a residual queue is carried over from one cycle to the next and successive residuals accumulate. This study designs and simulates an adaptive green-time allocation controller based on an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) with two inputs, aggregate phase queue length (Q) and maximum approach waiting time (W), for a four-way intersection operated from undersaturated to oversaturated conditions. The training data are not arbitrary: they are generated from a queue-actuated green-time formula whose three terms, queue discharge time, startup lost time and an anti-starvation priority proportional to normalized waiting time, are individually grounded in signal-timing theory, and whose parameters are reported in full. The model, using three Gaussian membership functions per input, nine first-order Sugeno rules and hybrid learning, was trained and validated on an 80:20 split of 180 data pairs and reached a testing RMSE of 2.39 s and an MAE of 1.87 s, that is, 2.1% of the 115-second output range. Performance was then evaluated over a 100-cycle discrete-event simulation with Poisson arrivals against fixed-time control at a constant 30 s green, using an identical queue-update mechanism. Under the baseline plan the effective capacity is 7 vehicles per approach per cycle, and the three scenarios in which at least one approach exceeds it (x = 1.14) are exactly the scenarios in which the fixed-time queue grows linearly with a strictly positive drift and in which the proposed controller yields improvements of 68.6% to 87.1%. In the four scenarios in which no approach exceeds capacity the improvement is 0.8% to 10.0%. The benefit of neuro-fuzzy green-time allocation is therefore concentrated in, and structurally explained by, the oversaturated regime.
