Abstract

Environmental problems are complex problems that must be addressed immediately, and humans are the only educated agents who can save the environment so that environmental benefits can be felt sustainably. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of insight into sustainable development (sustainable development) to the attitude of environmental care FKIP academic community Unsyiah. This research uses a descriptive correlational approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, blind observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using Spearman correlation with a confidence level of 95% and processed using the SPSS 18.0 application. The results of the analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.345 which means there is a sufficient correlation between the level of insight into sustainable development with an attitude of environmental awareness. The significance value obtained from the Spearman correlation test is 0.345 ( 0.05), meaning that there is a significant relationship between the level of insight into sustainable development with an attitude of environmental awareness. The correlation coefficient has a positive value of 0.345, so insights are positively and significantly related to caring attitudes. The results of this study indicate that the level of insight into sustainable development is positively related to the attitude of environmental awareness in the FKIPUnsyiah academic community.

Abstract

This research aim to to know : ( 1).  Live cycle of A. nilotica, ( 2). Sspreading and Seed production in BNP, ( 3). Potency of A. nilotica as species bioprosfektif, and ( 4) Stand structure of A. nilotica in BNP.Research method used to know  cycle live,  spreading and seed production in BNP  and the done conducted stand structure with  direct perception  in field. Produce seed used  a square method  having a nest counted 10 fruit by using  plastic. obtained stand structure data with  madely is permanent square for the width of 20 m x 20  m of counted 15 fruit, and at each square measured by a diameter and high counted 10 tree. While data to know potency A. nilotica  as species biprospektif obtained from data  relevant secunder with problems  checked.Conclusion from this research is : (1). There are six  cycle step live A. nilotica that is seed corps, seedling, juvinile, adult, flower, and seed in pod, ( 2). Production of seed/tree at age 3 year gyrate  506seed/tree. : (3). Seed spreading A. nilotica in BNP through animal  like bull, wild buffalo, deer and others,  and also water at the rains season, ( 4). Potency of A. nilotica  as species bioprospektif can be developed  forestry, health, and also industrial,  and ( 5). Stand structure A. nilotica in BNP pertained  as strightened age.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang  penerapan model concept attainment terhadap hasil belajar   siswa pada materi metabolisme. Tujuan penelitian ini  adalah untuk mengetahui  pengaruh penerapan model concept attainment terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan proses sains, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi metabolisme. Penelitian ini dilakukan sejak bulan September sampai dengan November 2013. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ekperimen dengan desain  pretest postest control group design. Instrumen yang  digunakan adalah Rencana Program pembelajaran (RPP), soal pemahaman konsep, soal keterampilan proses`sains, soal kemampuan berpikir kritis, pedoman observasi, dan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest. Data peningkatan hasil belajar berupa gain ternormalisasi (N-Gain). Perbedaan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dianalisis dengan independent sample t-test. Hasil penilitian ini  menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model concept attainment dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan proses sains, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi metabolisme

Abstract

The objectives of the research were: (1) to determine the distribution pattern, association, and interaction of plant species, and (2) to determine the relationship between life form and the distribution pattern of species. Quadrate method was used in this research. Determination of species distribution pattern was calculated using Poisson Distribution formula. The result indicated that: (1) The species richness were dominated by grasses, reaching 20,63% of the 33 observed species,  21 of them were in a clumped distribution, 7 species in a reguler, and 5 species were at random pattern. (2) There are relationship between life form and the distribution of the plant species. The multy-plants tend to have a clumped distribution pattern, and single plant tend to heve a reguler or random distribution pattern.

Abstract

The research was done in Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi East Java in April to June 2004. The objectives of this research were: to determine of species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, distribution pattern of species, and species association. This research used the quadrat method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula and the determination of association was calculated using contingency table. The results of this research indicated that,  there were 20 species of  plant belong to 8 familiy. The importance value was between 0,42-59,54, and species with high importance value is Oplismenus burmanii, Axonopus compressus, and Synedrella nudiflora. The diversity index was between 1,3329-2,5271, and evenness index was between 1,5364-1,9848. The distribution pattern of species indicated that 12 species were  clumped, 6 species reguler, and 2 species were at random.  The multi-plants tend to have a clumped distribution pattern, and single plant tend to have a reguler or random distribution pattern. Abstract

The objectivees of this research were; to acquered of vegetation in Banda Aceh beach after tsunami, to find expression about of composition, association, species diversity index (H’), similarity index (IS), and species distribution pattern.The stage of research were; observation and segmentation of study area. The size of study area is 420 ha, and sample area is 10% of population. The station of sampling is (a). Meulaboh District Beach (MDB), (b). Aceh Jaya District Beach (AJDB), and Lhoknga District Beach (LDB). For each of sampling location a given ten sampling quadrat with five replication. total sample are 50 quadrats. The observated variable is number of  spec                ies, absolute diversity, absolute frequency, and absolute dominance. The calculated of importance value used formula is DR + FR + DMR., and calculated of species diversity index with Shannon-Wiener formula. The category of species diversity index is; if H’1 very low category, H’1-2 low category, H’2-3 median category, and H’3-4 high category.The result of this research are; (a). The vegetation physiognomy in Meulaboh District Beach, (b).Aceh Jaya District Beach, and Lhoknga District Beach were fundamental changed after tsunami, (c). The planting of mangrove species in Aceh West Beach didn’t resulted yet optimalization, (d). Dominance of tree in Aceh West Beach were Casuarina equisetifolia, and Cocos nucifera, dominance of underbrush were Calatropis gigantea, and Vernonia cinerea, and dominance of herbs species were Ipomoea pescaprae, and Chloris barbata (5). The moment effort is necessary for serious reclamation in Aceh West Beach after tsunami specific.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the kinship relationship of Malvaceae species based on morphological characteristics, this study uses a descriptive method that interprets the kinship of the species Malvaceae based on morphological characteristics. The object of the research is the species of Malvaceae namely hibiscus (Hibiscus archeri), waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus), rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa), pulutan (Urena lobata L.), ocra (Abelmoschus esculentus), cotton (Gossypium hirsutum), sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia L.), kembang tidur (Malvaviscus penduliflorus), lanterns (Abutilon pictum). The parameters used are stem organs, leaves, and flowers. Data analysis was performed by calculating the Similarity Index (IS) and Dissimilarity Index (ID), the data in Cluster Analysis to group Malvaceae species based on the same number of characters. The results of the research show that the closest kinship relation owned by a combination of plants that has the lowest Dissimilarity Index (ID) value in the species of hibiscus (Hibiscus archeri) and kembang tidur (Malvaviscus penduliflorus). The conclusion of this study is there are three categories of relationships of the Malvaceae species, which are the closest kinship relation, close kinship relation, and the kinship relation are not close. The kinship relationship is remarkably close to the lowest Dissimilarity (ID) Index value indicated by the combination of hibiscus (Hibiscus archeri) and kembang tidur (Malvaviscus penduliflorus) with ID value = 25.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the types of plants is utilized by the society in Pidie for skin disease drug. Data collected by Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and purposive sampling. Research object are tuha peut, healer, adolescents: 17-20 years, adults: 21-40 years, and the elderly: 60 years. The data were analyzed descriptively. Parameters measured were the types of medicinal plants, how to use medicinal plants. The result showed 57 species of plant are classified into 37 parts used as drug by the people of Pidie. The conclusion of this research is the species of plant most widely used as drug by the society of Pidie based on famili of Anacardiaceae and Euphorbiaceae.

Abstract

The research was done in Baluran National Park, Banyuwangi East Java in April to June 2004. The objectives of this research are to determine species composition, importance value of species, diversity index and evenness index, similarity index, distribution pattern of species, and species association. This research used quadratic method. The determination of the species distribution was calculated using Poisson distribution formula. The determination of association was calculated using contingency table and classification of community using similarity index formula and cluster analysis. The results of this research indicated that, there were 63 species of plants including 18 family. The importance value was between 0, 97-42,58 and species with high and medium importance value are Brachiaria reptans, Tespesisa lanpas, Oplismenus burmanii, Dichantium coricosum, Axonopus compressus, and Synedrella nudiflora. The diversity index was between 1, 1504-2, 7556 and evenness index was between 1, 1067-1, 7854. The distribution pattern of species indicated that 16 species were distributed in a clumped, 5 species were in a reguler, and 4 species were at random distribution pattern. The grass-group tend to have a clumped distribution pattern, and non-grass-group tend to have a reguler or random distribution pattern. The determine association indicated that 6 species had very high association index :: Brachiaria reptans, Dichantium coricosum, Tespesia lanpas, Achyrantes aspera, Stachytarpeta indica, Axonopus compressus and Oplismenus burmanii. The result of classification community indicated that savanna Baluran National Park can be devided three group (a). Open savanna no A. nilotica stand, (b). Savanna with density of A. nilotica stand 1500-3000 individuals/ha, and (c). savanna with dense  A. nilotica stand  3000 individuals/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan lembaga adat petuah uteun (panglima hutan) dalam pelestarian hutan di Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten pidie. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Geumpang Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu teknik wawancara (deeply interview), observasi (direct observation) dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peranan Peutuah uteun dalam pelestarian hutan belum maksimal karena kurangnya kedasadaran dari masyarakat dan juga kerjasama dari pihak pemerintah setempat dalam mengupaya pelestarian hutan. Upaya peningkatan pelestarian hutan melalui peranan Peutua Uteun dengan merangkul dan bermit­ra dengan masyarakat dalam melaksana­kan pengelolaan hutan sehingga kelestarian hutan menjadi meningkat. Hasil observasi hutan di wilayah Geumpang sudah tergolong baik, terlihat dari wilayah permukiman masih terdapat hutan lindung yang sangat alami. Dari pengamatan tersebut tidak terdapat illegal logging dari perusahaan atau HPH di wilayah Geumpang. Keberadaan Peutua Uteun (panglima hutan) merupakan salah satu ujung tombak dalam menjaga kelestarian hutan. Kata kunci            : Petua uteun (Panglima Hutan), Pelestarian Hutan.
