Abstract

  Oral and dental health care is a unity that affects the health condition of the body which cannot be separated. At an early age it is necessary to maintain oral health. Nowadays, many children do not know the importance of paying attention to brushing teeth habit in a proper ways so that problems are often found, one of which is cavities. Maintenance of good dental health must be supported by good knowledge. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the habit of brushing teeth in class III-V children at SDN 8 Langkai Palangka Raya. This study used an analytic observational approach with a cross sectional method, which was a type of research that was carried out one time with the Spearman statistical test, significance p < 0.05. The results of the study found that 92 (93.9%) respondents were found to have a good level of knowledge, with 52 (53.1%) respondents with moderate tooth brushing habits. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and the habit of brushing teeth in children in grades III-V at SDN 8 Langkai Palangka Raya with the results of the Spearman statistical test p value = 0, 003 (<0.05). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the habit of brushing teeth in grade III-V at SDN 8 Langkai Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Over time, there is a decrease in body resistance in a number of individuals, leading to the emergence of health problems. A common phenomenon observed is hypertension, which is often referred to as "the silent killer". Prehypertension is a person's blood pressure above the normal range but has not reached the degree of hypertension. One factor that is thought to increase the risk of hypertension is coffee consumption. Coffee contains caffeine which is a stimulant substance that can increase alertness, speed up heart rate, and increase blood pressure. This study aims to determine the coffee consumption habits of FK UPR preclinical students, determine the blood pressure of FK UPR preclinical students and classify individuals as prehypertensive and non-prehypertensive, analyze the relationship between coffee consumption habits and the incidence of prehypertension. Observational research method with cross-sectional research design. The sample was obtained using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling with a sample number of 81 respondents. The statistical analysis used in this study was the chi-square test. The results showed that of the 81 respondents, the majority had the habit of drinking coffee, were experiencing prehypertension (120-139 mmHg / 80-89 mmHg). Based on the results of the chi-square statistical test conducted in this study, p-value = 0.033 (p<0.05) was obtained which stated that there was a relationship between coffee consumption habits and the incidence of prehypertension in preklink students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Palangka Raya. Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Posyandu merupakan kegiatan rutin setiap bulan yang dirancang untuk melakukan pemantauan terhadap pertambahan berat badan balita dengan menggunakan Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS). Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Menteng, Data cakupan penimbangan balita di Posyandu wilayah kerja Puskesmas Menteng yaitu terdapat 1355 jiwa bayi dan balita yang terdaftar di Poyandu dan rata-rata jumlah balita yang melakukan penimbangan di tahun tersebut sebanyak 388 (28,6%) balita, di mana target cakupan kunjungan Posyandu masih belum tercapai.  Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi kesehatan terhadap terkait pentingnya membawa balita berkunjung ke Posyandu balita sebagai upaya meningkatkan mutu kesehatan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Menteng. Metode: Jenis penelitian menggunakan desain penelitian Pre Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk rancangan One Grup Pretes-Posttest Design melibatkan 30 responden. Data dianalisis dengan dengan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian edukasi kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan orang tua dengan p-value = 0,001. Simpulan: Didapatkan ada pengaruh pemberian edukasi kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan orang tua terkait pentingnya membawa balita berkunjung ke Posyandu balita sebagai upaya meningkatkan mutu kesehatan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Menteng.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan yang menjadi perhatian global, termasuk di Indonesia. PTM adalah penyakit yang tidak menular dari orang ke orang, berlangsung lama, dan biasanya berkembang lambat. Indonesia saat ini menghadapi beban ganda penyakit, yaitu penyakit menular dan Penyakit Tidak Menular. Perubahan pola penyakit tersebut sangat dipengaruhi antara lain oleh perubahan lingkungan, perilaku masyarakat, transisi demografi, teknologi, ekonomi dan sosial budaya. Masyarakat dalam perilakunya sehari-hari masih banyak yang belum menerapkan kebiasaan hidup bersih dan sehat. Hal ini menjadi salah satu penyebab terjadinya permasalahan kesehatan yang beragam di masyarakat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan pemberian edukasi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan status kesehatan pada masyarakat. Tujuan: Tujuan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta informasi terkait dengan penyakit serta permasalahan kesehatan yang menjadi perhatian pada wilayah kerja Puskesmas Panarung Palangka Raya yaitu kesehatan ibu dan anak, parotitis, stroke, hipertensi, diabetes mellitus dan demam berdarah. Metode: Pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan dibagi menjadi enam kegiatan, penyuluhan pertama menyampaikan mengenai kesehatan ibu dan anak, penyuluhan kedua mengenai parotitis, penyuluhan ketiga mengenai stroke, penyuluhan keempat mengenai hipertensi, penyuluhan kelima mengenai diabetes mellitus dan penyuluhan keenam mengenai demam berdarah. Penyuluhan dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Panarung Palangka Raya yang mencakup gedung puskemas dan posyandu. Hasil: Masyarakat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Panarung Palangka Raya memahami mengenai informasi yang diberikan selama kegiatan penyuluhan mengenai masalah kesehatan tersebut serta dapat menerapkan perilaku pencegahannya. Simpulan: Perlu diberikan penyuluhan yang tepat sasaran sesuai dengan karakteristik masyarakat selaku sasaran penyuluhan agar masyarakat dapat menerapkan perilaku pencegahan yang tepat.

Abstract

electrical charges in neurons in the brain. Globally, an estimated 5 million people are diagnosed with epilepsy each year. In Indonesia until now there is no definite incidence data because many people with epilepsy are not detected or not visit health centers. This study aims to determine characteristics of epilepsy patients based on age, gender, type of epilepsy, education level, occupation, ethnicity, type of medication, and amount of medication in epilepsy patients at Dr. Doris Sylvanus Hospital. Observational descriptive method with retrospective approach, research data were taken from medical record data for epilepsy patients in 2021-2022. In this study, there were 93 epilepsy patients, dominated by the age group <20 years (45%), male gender (51%), not working (74%), high school (37%), Dayak (51%), type of generalized epilepsy (64%), number of monotherapy drugs (58%), type of valproic acid drug (30%). Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) seperti diabetes melitus, hipertensi, asam urat (gout), gastritis, serta kondisi kesehatan umum lainnya seperti anemia dalam kehamilan dan masalah ASI dan MPASI serta penyakit menular seperti campak pada anak masih menjadi perhatian di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kalampangan Palangka Raya. Permasalahan ini diperparah oleh rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pencegahan penyakit. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan intervensi edukasi sebagai upaya preventif berbasis komunitas. Tujuan: Memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai berbagai topik kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan mendorong perilaku hidup sehat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kalampangan. Metode: Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan secara tatap muka pada masyarakat umum, ibu hamil, lansia, hingga ibu balita di berbagai posyandu dan fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan. Materi disampaikan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi interaktif menggunakan media leaflet. Hasil: Kegiatan edukasi berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap topik-topik kesehatan yang disampaikan. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme dengan terlibat dalam sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab serta menyampaikan pengalaman pribadi terkait masalah kesehatan. Seluruh kegiatan terlaksana dengan baik dan sesuai tujuan. Simpulan: Edukasi kesehatan merupakan pendekatan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penyakit tidak menular dan masalah kesehatan umum lainnya. Penyuluhan yang berkelanjutan dan sesuai karakteristik sasaran sangat penting untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang sadar dan mampu menerapkan perilaku hidup sehat.

Abstract

In this study, the aim was to analyse the relationship between Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) infection and hand washing habits in grade 2 children at SD Negeri 1 Sabaru, Palangka Raya. Worm infestation is an infectious disease caused by parasites in the form of worms, especially in school-age children who are vulnerable because clean and healthy living behaviour still depends on parents.This study used an observational method with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 52 grade 2 children of SD Negeri 1 Sabaru who were taken using total sampling technique based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The examination was carried out at the Parasitology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, Palangka Raya University using the Kato-Katz method. Data were analysed using the chi-square test.The results showed that the incidence of helminth infection was 15.4%. The chi-square test showed a significant relationship between hand washing habits and STH worm infections with a p value = 0.000.In conclusion, there is a relationship between Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) intestinal worm infections and hand washing habits in grade 2 children at SD Negeri 1 Sabaru, Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Anemia pada kehamilan merupakan masalah kesehatan yang dapat memberikan dampak kesehatan serius pada ibu dan beserta janin yang dikandung. Data di UPTD Puskesmas Kalampangan menunjukkan peningkatan kasus anemia dari 5 kasus pada Januari menjadi 9 kasus pada Februari 2025 yang mana meningkat sebesar 80%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian intervensi berbasis edukasi kesehatan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil dalam pencegahan anemia di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kalampangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest. Responden sebanyak 15 ibu hamil dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Terdapat peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan ibu hamil setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan, dengan nilai p-value = 0,001. Edukasi kesehatan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil terkait pencegahan anemia, dan disarankan untuk dilakukan secara berkala di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kalampangan.

Abstract

Indonesia has 20 provinces with anemia prevalence rates higher than the national average, with Central Kalimantan ranking third at 12.7%. This is due to a lack of awareness and knowledge about anemia among adolescent girls. SMP Negeri 3 is one of the schools in Central Kalimantan that receives blood supplement tablets (TTD). This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge of adolescents and teacher support for TTD consumption compliance among seventh and eighth grade female students at SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. The population in this study consisted of 344 female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya, with a sample size of 100 female adolescents. This study used an analytical observational method with data collection using a questionnaire with 32 questions. Respondents were selected based on Proportional Stratified Random Sampling, then data processing was carried out using the SPSS application using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Spearman correlation test method. The results of the study indicate that there is a relationship between knowledge and compliance with taking Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) among female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya, and that there is a relationship between teacher support and compliance with taking Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) among female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya. The results of this study can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between the level of knowledge of adolescents and teacher support for compliance with blood supplement tablet consumption among female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Palangka Raya, with the strength of the relationship being strong and moderately strong, respectively.

Abstract

Flour albus is a lot happening to female teenagers, which caused by lack of knowledge about the behavior of personal hygiene reproductive organs that are very influential in the occurrence of flour albus. Women who have less knowledge about the hygiene of reproductive organs will have an impact on the health of their reproductive organs because knowledge is a determining factor in maintaining the hygiene of reproductive organs, especially in the genitals. Health promotion with topics regarding personal hygiene reproductives organs and flour albus in MAN Palangka Raya city has long not have been done, therefore, health education on flour albus prevention needs to be given. The goal of giving students a health education is to improve knowledge and information related to the prevention of flour albus with the application of personal hygiene organs in the school students of MAN Palangka Raya City. A health education activity carried out in the high school of man city roadblocks.The activities carried out are the educational delivery of flour albus as well as the prevention of personal hygiene.After that, a Q&A session performed between the students and the activity team and followed by a Q&A session as well as a quiz gift. Students who participate in this activity experience improved knowledge of flour albus prevention with the application of personal hygiene practices of reproductive organs, as shown by an average increase in post test results, this is from the pre-test with an average of 5.92 to 7.12 when the post-test performed. Similar activities need to be carried out regularly to students of the MAN Palangka Raya City, that they can apply proper personal hygiene of reproductive organs in preventing flour albus.
