Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi mobile mendorong kebutuhan akan sistem informasi manajemen akademik yang dapat diakses secara optimal melalui perangkat mobile. Sistem akademik berbasis web yang ada saat ini mengalami kendala responsivitas dan pengalaman pengguna yang kurang memuaskan ketika diakses dari perangkat mobile. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem manajemen akademik mahasiswa berbasis mobile multiplatform menggunakan Flutter. Metodologi penelitian meliputi studi literatur, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem dengan pendekatan modular tiga lapisan, implementasi menggunakan Flutter SDK dan Dart, serta pengujian black-box testing. Arsitektur sistem mencakup Flutter client, API gateway, layanan backend modular, database PostgreSQL, dan responsive. Hasil implementasi menghasilkan aplikasi dengan fitur autentikasi pengguna, jadwal kuliah interaktif, media sosial mikro, direktori kontak, informasi nilai dan transkrip yang berjalan optimal pada Android dan iOS. Pengujian komprehensif menunjukkan semua fitur berfungsi sesuai spesifikasi yang ditetapkan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi berupa blueprint sistem akademik mobile multiplatform yang dapat mengurangi kompleksitas pengembangan dibandingkan pendekatan native terpisah, sekaligus membuktikan efektivitas Flutter dalam menghasilkan aplikasi dengan performa mendekati native untuk sektor pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology serves as a pivotal driver of business transformation across various sectors, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This technology provides innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, broaden market reach, and improve customer experiences. However, the adoption of digital technology remains inconsistent among MSMEs, as evidenced by the case of Baso Jewol Gandasari. This research aims to develop a dedicated website tailored to this MSME to facilitate digitalization, simplify order management, and expand market share. The study employs a User Experience (UX)-driven design methodology utilizing Participatory Design, which actively involves business owners and customers in the feedback collection process to ensure that the developed features align with user needs. The evaluation process was conducted using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and the System Usability Scale (SUS), engaging 30 respondents for UEQ and 29 respondents for SUS. The findings reveal UEQ scores of 2.33 for attractiveness, 2.40 for perspicuity, 2.30 for efficiency, 1.96 for dependability, 2.16 for stimulation, and 1.88 for novelty. Additionally, the average SUS score of 83 is categorized as “Excellent”, signifying a high level of user satisfaction with the website. This research makes a significant contribution by offering digitalization solutions for MSMEs, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering positive user experiences. Future studies are recommended to incorporate additional features, such as marketing analytics and personalization, to comprehensively address the evolving needs of MSMEs.

Abstract

In the era of digital education, the need for automated scoring systems for short text answers has been steadily increasing. Automatic Short Answer Scoring (ASAS) aims to automate this assessment process with efficient and consistent approaches. Two commonly used approaches in ASAS are direct scoring and similarity-based scoring. Although these two approaches have been widely used, previous research has mostly focused on metrics like RMSE and Pearson Correlation to assess model performance. This study aims to provide a more in-depth analysis by comparing both approaches in two evaluation scenarios, specific-prompt and cross-prompt, by evaluating the accuracy and stability of the models. The dataset used in this study is the Rahutomo dataset. The results of the analysis show that direct scoring outperforms similarity-based scoring in terms of lower RMSE, higher Pearson Correlation, and fewer outliers. In the specific-prompt scenario, an RMSE of 0.0817 and a Pearson Correlation of 0.9504 were obtained, while in the cross-prompt scenario, the RMSE was 0.0917 and the Pearson Correlation was 0.9286. This study provides a more comprehensive insight into model performance by not only relying on evaluation metrics but also examining the distribution of residuals and outliers, which offers a more complete picture of model stability. Based on these findings, direct scoring is recommended for implementation in ASAS systems and for future research that can extend the analysis to other datasets or languages.

Abstract

In large classroom environments, teachers often struggle to monitor each student’s facial expression throughout the learning process. Yet, facial expressions are important indicators of students’ emotional states and engagement, which, when detected in real time, can support a more adaptive learning experience. Most previous research on Facial Expression Recognition (FER) has relied on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), which tend to be limited in capturing global relationships between facial features. Additionally, many studies focus on model accuracy without evaluating their practical effectiveness in real classroom settings. This study aims to develop a facial expression recognition model that is both accurate and efficient for use in classroom contexts. A hybrid Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture is proposed, which combines MobileNetV3 for local feature extraction and a Vision Transformer for global context modeling. To reduce the number of tokens and computational cost, a Token Downsampling method is introduced within the transformer blocks. The model is trained using the FER2013 dataset and achieves a test accuracy of 71.24%, surpassing the baseline pretrained ViT model, which reached only 70.10%. Additionally, the Token Downsampling method improves inference speed. Furthermore, the model is tested on a custom dataset collected from students in a real classroom setting to evaluate its performance in practical implementation. Although the performance on the classroom dataset is not yet optimal, the results on FER2013 demonstrate the potential of this approach for further development toward real-time and accurate facial expression recognition in educational environments.

Abstract

This study is a systematic literature review aimed at examining how the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach is applied in Internet of Things (IoT) project-based learning and its impact on the development of students' computational thinking (CT) and collaboration skills. Although few studies explicitly connect these three elements simultaneously, several studies indicate that Arduino-based projects, Scratch, and engineering principles within the PjBL context can support the enhancement of CT and collaboration, especially through interdisciplinary STEM-based approaches. The review findings suggest that IoT project-based learning with a PjBL framework holds strong potential to foster 21st-century skills. However, there remains a gap in developing integrated learning systems that combine PjBL, IoT, CT, and collaboration in a cohesive manner. Therefore, further empirical research is needed to design innovative learning models that are effective within the context of Informatics education in the digital era.

Abstract

Low public awareness regarding the importance of dental health remains a significant issue in Indonesia. This situation is exacerbated by limited access to consultation services that are easy, fast, affordable, and available at any time. As a result, many dental diseases go undetected at an early stage. Additionally, the tendency to delay dental check-ups is often caused by time constraints and the distance to healthcare facilities, leading many people to avoid consulting with dentists. To address this problem, this research developed a dental health chatbot based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) using IndoBERT. The model was pretrained with the Masked Language Model (MLM) approach and fine-tuned using Next Sentence Prediction (NSP) and intent classification tasks. The dataset was compiled from Indonesian-language dental health articles, symptom–disease sentence pairs, and follow-up questions, all validated by certified dentists. The system was implemented as a web application using React JS for the frontend, Express JS and MySQL for the backend, and integrated with the NLP model through a Flask API. Evaluation results show that the chatbot can provide relevant dental health information, including lightweight consultations to assist in early symptom detection, answer follow-up questions, and generate digital medical records. Expert validation produced an average score of “Good” across the aspects of clarity, relevance, medical accuracy, and completeness, with Likert scale scores ranging from 3.53 to 3.67. This research is expected to contribute as an accessible 24-hour online dental health information service aimed at increasing public knowledge and awareness.

Abstract

Animasi 3D komputer mengalami kemajuan signifikan dalam dekade terakhir. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan perangkat lunak desain grafis membawa animasi 3D ke tingkat yang lebih maju dari sebelumnya yang menuntut pemahaman mendalam para animator tentang prinsip-prinsip animasi dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki penerapan prinsip-prinsip animasi dalam film animasi 3D serta memahami sejauh mana prinsip-prinsip animasi tersebut diterapkan dalam film animasi 3D.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah SLR dengan kriteria rancangan PICOC (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Context). Data diambil dari paper jurnal yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2013-2023. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat lima research question yang menjadi panduan utama. Temuan akhir menunjukkan analisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip animasi dalam film animasi 3D menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua produksi animasi mengadopsi prinsip-prinsip animasi, meskipun dengan penekanan yang berbeda. Kepiawaian animator dalam menguasai prinsip-prinsip animasi berdampak langsung pada kesuksesan film animasi. Penerapan prinsip-prinsip animasi juga memengaruhi ekspresi karakter dan kesan visual. Selain itu, penggunaan prinsip-prinsip animasi dalam pembelajaran memiliki potensi besar untuk memperkaya pengalaman belajar dan mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Augmented Reality-based learning media on computer hardware materials and investigate its impact on student understanding and engagement. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The study involved two lecturers as media experts, one informatics teacher as a material expert, and students in grades VIII-3 (control class) and VIII-4 (experimental class). Data collection techniques included interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to assess expert validation and student involvement, as well as quantitatively through normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The validation results showed that the media was highly feasible, with average scores of 97.5 from media experts and 62 from material experts. The N-Gain test revealed a greater increase in understanding in the experimental class (0.71) compared to the control class (0.41). Additionally, the average engagement score of students in the experimental class increased from 3.31 to 4.35, categorized as high, while the control class increased from 3.33 to 4.03, also categorized as high. The findings indicate that Augmented Reality-based learning media is feasible and effective in enhancing students' understanding and engagement with computer hardware materials.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu platform media sosial terbesar di dunia, Facebook menjadi sasaran utama untuk melakukan kejahatanya dengan mencuri data pribadi milik orang lain. Salah satu masalah yang ditemukan pada manajemen sekuriti pengguna media adalah ketika mereka tidak dapat menggunakan keamanan data dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan korelasi antara peranan manajemen sekuriti dengan pertahanan dan keamanan data pribadi Facebook. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan metode literature review dengan mengumpulkan data melalui artikel jurnal dan e-book, sebagai sumber dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen sekuriti yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan operasional dan membangun kepercayaan terhadap kebijakan dan prosedur keamanan data pribadi pengguna Facebook.

Abstract

The lack of integrated and easily accessible knowledge-sharing platforms within organizations, especially in the banking industry, has led to challenges in preserving institutional expertise and supporting effective employee training. S-Know (Smart Knowledge) is a web-based knowledge management system developed to address this issue by facilitating the storage, management, and distribution of organizational information. It offers features such as learning paths, learning modules, quizzes, and discussion forums to promote structured collaboration and self-directed learning among employees. The content is designed using a microlearning approach to ensure better comprehension and relevance to new staff training. The development of S-Know followed the Knowledge Management System Life Cycle (KMSLC), encompassing stages of knowledge capture, system design, implementation, and evaluation, each tailored to align with real organizational needs. Technically, S-Know leverages the Laravel framework for scalability and flexibility, with black box testing used to evaluate system functionality against user requirements. Test results and user interviews confirmed that all core features performed effectively and supported the intended goals. Overall, S-Know shows strong potential as a strategic and adaptive platform for knowledge management that can enhance human resource development and support sustainable organizational knowledge. To further support its growth and long-term value, future development may focus on encouraging greater user participation in knowledge sharing and improving accessibility, especially through integration with mobile platforms.
