Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of brand image and reference groups on repurchase intention of Hanasui lipstick cosmetic products among university students in Pariaman City, using a sample of 75 respondents. The background of this research stems from the increasing number of business players in the cosmetics industry, which has intensified market competition. Preliminary surveys indicate that the brand image of Hanasui lipstick is still not optimal and has not succeeded in making the brand a market leader or widely recognized by consumers. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design. Primary data were collected through questionnaires that were tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test), and coefficient of determination analysis. Data processing was conducted using SPSS version 27. The results show that the t-count value for the brand image variable (X1) is 5.044 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect on repurchase intention. The reference group variable (X2) has a t-count of 2.381 with a significance of 0.019 (< 0.05), also showing a significant effect. Simultaneously, the F-count value is 23.400 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05), which means both variables significantly influence repurchase intention. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.606, indicating that 60.6% of the variation in repurchase intention is influenced by brand image and reference groups, while the remaining 39.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of tourist attractions, location, and facilities on tourists' visiting decisions at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City. The purpose of this study was to partially and simultaneously test the influence of tourist attractions, location, and facilities on tourists' visiting decisions at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City. This study used a quantitative method with a sample size of 100 people. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The research instrument tests used were validity and reliability tests. The classical assumption tests used were data normality tests, linearity tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. Meanwhile, for hypothesis testing, the T test and F test were used. The analysis tool used was regression with the help of SPSS version 26 for Windows. The results of the study show that the tourist attraction variable has a significant influence on the decision to visit tourists at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City through calculations with a t-value of 5.170 which is greater than the t-table, namely 1.66023 (5.170 > 1.66023) with a significance rate of 0.000 meaning less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The location variable has a significant effect on the decision to visit tourists at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City. This is evidenced by the t-count value of 4.305 which is greater than the t-table of 1.66023 (4.305 > 1.66023) with a significance rate of 0.000 meaning less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The facility variable has a significant effect on the decision to visit tourists at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City. This is evidenced by the t-count value of 5.662 which is greater than the t-table of 1.66023 (5.662 > 1.66023) with a significance rate of 0.000 meaning less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). The variables of tourist attraction, location, and facilities have a significant influence on the decision to visit tourists at Gandoriah Beach, Pariaman City, through calculations with an Fcount value of 44.190> Ftable 2.70 with sig = 0.000 <0.05. The Ftable value can be seen in the F distribution table, in column 3 (Df = k-1, Df = 4-1 = 3) and row 97 (Df2 = n-k, Df2 = 100-3 = 97), where the Ftable value = 2.70. The joint contribution is 56.7% to the dependent variable of the decision to visit (Y) while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Moderatism is an essential foundation for religious expression among religious people in various fields of life, both in understanding and application. As part of the religious community, Mutakallimin from the classical to contemporary eras have provided valuable experiences for other Muslims. This paper aims to explore the experiences of the Mutakallimin regarding moderatism in the classical and contemporary eras. The writing method in this study uses literary methods and approaches to classical and contemporary Islamic literature. The results of the study explain that the Mutakallimin has demonstrated moderatism experiments marked by the emergence of the Khawarij Ibadiyah sect, Moderate Murjiah, Moderate Shia, the Mu'tazilah conception of rationality, the balance between Jabariyah and Qadariyah which is explored in the face of Asy'ariyah and Maturidiyah, as well as contemporary Kalam reform models which are based on theocentric and anthropocentric Kalam domains.

Abstract

This study analyzes the transformation of Indonesia’s political structure from a federal system to a unitary state during the 1950s, with particular attention to center–periphery relations, the emergence of the PRRI and Permesta movements, and their political implications for the configuration of national power. Employing a qualitative approach grounded in historical research, the study utilizes document analysis of state archives, legal and regulatory texts, political speeches, and relevant academic literature. The data are examined through qualitative content analysis and historical interpretation to identify patterns of power centralization, elite fragmentation, and fiscal–political tensions between the central government and regional authorities. The findings indicate that the transition to a unitary state was shaped by a complex interaction of parliamentary political dynamics, unequal resource distribution, and post-election institutional instability. PRRI and Permesta emerged as expressions of regional dissatisfaction with increasing centralization rather than as explicitly separatist movements; however, the escalation of these conflicts contributed to the weakening of parliamentary democracy. The study further demonstrates that the dissolution of the Masyumi Party and the Indonesian Socialist Party (PSI) reflected state-led efforts to consolidate political authority within the framework of Guided Democracy. This research contributes to historical scholarship on center–region relations and the processes of political centralization in postcolonial state formation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the dynamics of religious knowledge play a role in shaping the level of economic welfare of farmers involved in the practice of selling cassava without weighing in Nagari Gadut. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis technique as the main method to test the causal relationship between latent variables, namely Farmers' Religious Knowledge and Farmers' Economic Welfare in Cassava Sales Practices. The results show that construct X1 (Farmers' Religious Knowledge) is proven to have a significant negative effect on Y (Cassava Sales Practices), while X2 (Farmers' Economic Welfare) has a positive but insignificant effect. Although the model is quite good, it is still necessary to evaluate the high multicollinearity indicators and the addition of other variables to strengthen the model's explanatory power.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of digital pluralism on political party preferences from the perspective of Islamic Human Resource Management (HRM) in West Sumatra. This study aims to examine how pluralistic narratives on social media shape the perceptions and political choices of people with a strong religious-cultural basis. This study uses a quantitative descriptive-correlational approach, data collected through a survey of active social media users. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that the level of digital pluralism and Islamic HRM ethics are in the high category, while party preferences based on pluralistic imagery are classified as moderate. There is a significant correlation between digital pluralism and party preferences, with Islamic HRM ethics acting as a mediating variable. These findings indicate that the influence of pluralism in digital politics is only effective when integrated with substantive ethical values. The implication is that strengthening ethical human resource governance and leadership with integrity are important prerequisites for increasing democratic participation and political professionalism in the context of Islamic society.
