Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the effect of food quality, EWOM, and perceived price on the revisit intention of consumers at Scarlett's Cafe Pantai Indah Kapuk. The implementation of this research begins with theoretical exposure, distributing questionnaires, processing data, and analyzing data. The technique used for data collection is purposive sampling with the implementation of data collection using an online questionnaire instrument. Valid respondents were obtained as many as 196 out of 220 respondents who lived in Jabodetabek. Based on the results of data processing, the results show that perceived price has a positive and significant effect on revisit intentions, while food quality and EWOM do not have a positive and significant effect on consumer revisit intentions at Scarlett's Cafe Pantai Indah Kapuk. Food quality has no positive and significant effect due to the taste, texture, and color (appearance) of poor quality food when served. EWOM has no positive and significant effect because consumers are dissatisfied with the experience they get. So it is important to improve the quality of food so that consumers are satisfied and can provide a positive EWOM.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to address the knowledge gap in hospitality and accommodation management among women in Desa Wisata Pintukota Kecil, a small island-based community based tourism destination in Lembeh Island, Bitung Municipality, North Sulawesi. As part of the community's recovery following a flood and landslide disaster in April 2024, the training aimed to equip local women with basic housekeeping knowledge to support homestay development and community-based tourism in a desa wisata. The activity was conducted on October 19, 2024, with 25 women participants. The method involved lectures and demonstrations focused on cleaning procedures, linen management, guest handling, and hygiene standards. Pretest and posttest evaluations using 15 multiple-choice questions revealed significant improvement in participants’ knowledge. Scores increased from 30–60% in the pretest to 88–100% in the posttest. The results show that the delivery method was effective and the training content was appropriate to the participants' context and needs. Women were identified as key actors in the potential growth of homestay-based tourism in the village. This initiative illustrates how targeted training can contribute to sustainable community empowerment and readiness for tourism engagement.

Abstract

Secara strategis, program ini mendukung pencapaian SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), dan SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) melalui penguatan ekonomi lokal dan pariwisata berbasis komunitas yang berkelanjutan. Abstract

Monumen Nasional (Monas) is one of Jakarta’s major urban tourism attractions that functions not only as a historical landmark but also as an educational destination representing Indonesia’s struggle for independence and national identity. However, the development of integrated historical educational tourism packages at Monas remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to identify the educational tourism potential of Monas and explore opportunities for developing historical educational tourism packages that can improve visitor experiences and historical awareness. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with a Monas service staff member as the key informant, supported by observations and documentation. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Monas has strong potential as a historical educational tourism destination through its historical value, museum collections, educational facilities, and guided tour services that enhance visitor engagement and learning experiences.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out in Wologai Tengah Village, Ende Regency, to enhance community awareness of hygiene and sanitation as part of early preparation for homestay-based tourism. The activity responded to the growing interest among local residents to participate in tourism by offering accommodations in modern houses located outside the sacred area of Kampung Adat Wologai. The training used lecture and discussion methods, with 20 participants. Training materials focused on personal hygiene, household sanitation, waste management, and water safety. Pre-test and post-test assessments were conducted to measure knowledge improvement. Results show that participants demonstrate significant learning gains, with individual score increases ranging from 50 to 70 percent. These results indicate a high level of community engagement and openness to tourism knowledge. The training serves as a foundation for future tourism readiness efforts and highlights the importance of integrating hygiene education into rural hospitality development. It also emphasizes the need for follow-up programs on guest handling, service quality, and sustainable tourism planning to support long-term goals. This program concludes that Wologai Tengah holds strong potential to grow into a culturally grounded rural tourism destination with the right knowledge support and planning. Abstract

Indonesia’s tourism sector has significant economic, socio-cultural, and environmental potentials, but its sustainable development is constrained by fragmented governance, overlapping institutional mandates, uneven regional capacity, and limited stakeholder participation. Prior studies have largely explored decentralisation, destination governance, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable tourism separately, leaving a critical gap in understanding how the fragmentation of governance operates across administrative levels, sectors, political periods, and geographical areas simultaneously. This study addresses this gap through a mixed-methods design combining bibliometric analysis, qualitative thematic synthesis, and stakeholder validation. Using bibliometric and thematic analyses of 165 articles retrieved from the Scopus database, we mapped the intellectual structure of tourism governance research and identified the main drivers, dimensions, consequences, and mechanisms of governance integration. The review findings were then contextualised and validated through semi-structured interviews with four purposively selected key informants with relevant expertise in Indonesian tourism governance. The findings identify four interlinked dimensions of governance fragmentation, namely vertical policy misalignment, horizontal and cross-sectoral fragmentation, temporal policy discontinuity, and spatial inequality in tourism development. Add to these dimensions overlapping regulations, unclear institutional responsibilities, varying institutional capacities, fragmented tourism data systems, competing stakeholder interests, and limited opportunities for meaningful community participation. The study proposes an Integrated Sustainable Tourism Governance Framework that focuses on policy coherence, multi-level coordination, institutional role clarity, stakeholder co-creation, interoperable data systems, policy continuity, and adaptive accountability. The framework provides theoretically sound and contextually sensitive guidance for enhancing inclusive, resilient and sustainable tourism development in Indonesia
