Abstract

This article reviews three ratio-cum-product estimators for the population mean insimple random sampling. The coefficient of variation and the coefficient of kurtosis ofauxiliary variables are used. This article is the review of Tailor’s et. al. Article[Communications of the Korean Statistical Society 18(2):155-164]. The estimatorsdiscussed are ratio-cum-product estimator, type 1 and type 2 ratio-cum-productestimators using coefficient of variation and coefficient of kurtosis. These estimators arebiased. Then, the mean square errors (MSE) of each estimator are compared to showwhich one is the most efficient estimator. The type 2 ratio-cum-product estimator usingthe information on coefficient of variation and coefficient of kurtosis is the mostefficient estimator among the other two estimators.

Abstract

This paper discusses three ratio estimators for the population mean in simple randomsampling using coefficient of variation and median of an auxiliary variable, which is areview from the article of Subramani and Kumarapandiyan. All estimators are biased,then their mean square errors (MSE) are determined. Furthermore, the mean squareerrors are compared to show which estimator is the most efficient estimator. This paperreveals that the estimator using coefficient of variation and the median has the smallestmean square error (MSE).

Abstract

"> In this article we review three linear regression ratio estimators for the population mean on simple random sampling without replacement proposed by Singh et al. [Statistics in10 (2009) : 85 - 100 Transition, ]. These estimators are biased estimators and their mean square error are determined. The estimator with the smallest mean square error is the most efficient one. We apply these estimators to show the efficiencies of examples.

Abstract

This article reviews  three product estimators  for the population mean in  simple random sampling.  They  use the  coefficient of variation and  coefficient of kurtosis  of auxiliary variables. This article  is the reviewof  Singh’s article [Jour. Ind. Soc.  Ag. Statistics 56(3): 267-275]. Those three estimators are biased. Then their Mean Square Error(MSE) are determined. Furthermore,  MSE  of each estimator is compared to obtain the most efficient estimator.  This  study  shows  that the  modification of  the product  estimator  is the most efficient estimator if the conditions are met.

Abstract

Market Basket Analysis (MBA) merupakan salah satu teknik penemuan aturan asosiasi dalam data mining. MBA memanfaatkan data transaksi pada suatu toko untuk menentukan strategi penjualan. Konsep utama analisis ini adalah menentukan barang yang dibeli secara bersamaan oleh konsumen. Penentuan asosiasi dalam MBA berdasarkan kriteria minimum support dan confidence. Penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma apriori untuk data transaksi 212 Mart Soebrantas Pekanbaru periode Januari-Desember 2020. Algoritma apriori merupakan algoritma yang efisien untuk menentukan kandidat aturan asosiasi pada data dengan jumlah besar. Aturan asosiasi yang akan dibangkitkan adalah aturan asosiasi antar kelompok item dan asosiasi antar item. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan aturan asosiasi antar kelompok yang terbaik berdasarkan nilai lift tertinggi yaitu asosiasi antara clothing care dan body care dengan support 6,1% dan confidence 45,88 %. Aturan asosiasi terbaik untuk item yaitu asosiasi Lemonilo Mie Instan Ayam Bawang 7 dan Lemonilo Mie Instan Kari Ayam dengan support 0,17% dan confidence 42,11%.

Abstract

This paper aimed to develop the tourism potential of Sepahat Village, Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis Regency, what has been carried out, the obstacles are faced, and guidance efforts are carried out to support the realization of a tourist village, as well as recommendations that can be undertaken in the future. This community service activity used several methods, namely FGD, consultation, mentoring, and training. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted between the companion team (community service) with a team of cross-disciplinary and cross-university experts who were concerned and experienced in developing and assisting the fostered village and tourism village. FGD was also undertaken with the village head and local community leader. Consultation was carried out between local business actors, village head and community service team. Assistance was carried out between business actors directly related or as a support to tourism activities with local groups. The exploration of new economic potential in developing tourist villages, adding to the existing potential on the coast with peat soil, identifying a number of activities to encourage the realization of tourism villages, active participation and strong support from the society and local officials, gathering of society in tourism awareness groups, and also received a number of policy proposals to strengthen tourism village institutions.

Abstract

In early 2020, the world was shocked by the outbreak of new pneumonia that started in Wuhan, Hubei Province which then spread rapidly to more than 190 countries and territories. This outbreak is named coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). People are not aware that their hands are often contaminated with bacteria and viruses during their activities. One of the simplest ways and can be done to prevent this is to wash your hands using soap or antiseptic, hand sanitizer. Washing your hands can reduce the number of bacteria by up to 58%. The advantages of hand sanitizers can kill germs in a relatively fast time. The active ingredients of hand sanitizers are generally alcohol group compounds with a concentration of ± 60% to 80% and the phenol group (triclosan) so that they have a mechanism of action by denaturing and coagulating cell protein germs. Therefore, making hand sanitizers in simple stages can be done alone in community service activities. This service aims to find out how high public awareness is in dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak in everyday life. Evaluation of the service activities that will be carried out is to see how many people are aware of the importance of protecting themselves and the environment and maintaining distance in order to break the chain of spreading the virus.

Abstract

Magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles are very promising to be applied as a drug delivery system (DDS) for cancer chemotherapy. In this research, the crystal growth of hydrothermal derived magnetite particles was studied by oriented attachment (OA) model. The OA model was used to investigate the mechanism and the statistical kinetic of crystal growth. The crystal diameter change as a function of time with different concentration was measured using XRD. Firstly, 0.3248 g FeCl3 and 1.1764 g of sodium citrate, as well as 0.3604 g urea were dissolved into 40 mL of distilled water in a reactor. Subsequently, the reactor temperature was maintained at 210 °C and reaction time of 3.5–12 h in an air oven. The morphology of obtained particles was characterized using TEM, whereas VSM was used to determine the magnetic hysteresis curve. The XRD pattern showed that magnetite was obtained at temperature 210 °C and 3.5 h reaction time, as well as its intensity increased with reaction time. The crystal size of Fe3O4 was 9.44 nm at 3.5 h and appropriate with the oriented attachment model. The magnetite nanoparticles with shaped core-shell size less than 50 nm and suitable for biomedical application especially as drug delivery.

Abstract

Finding the most significant determinant variable of arms dynamic is highly required due to strategic policies formulations and power mapping for academics and policy makers. Machine learning is still new or underdiscussed among the study of politics and international relations. Existing literature have much focus on using advanced quantitative methods by applying various types of regression analysis. This study analyzed the arms dynamic in Southeast Asia countries along with its some strategic partners such as United States, China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan by using ‘Decision Tree’ of machine learning algorithm. This study conducted a machine learning analysis on 55 variable items which is classified into 8 classes of variables videlicet defense budget, arms trade exports, arms trade imports, political posture, economic posture, security posture and defense priority, national capability, and direct contact,. The results suggest three findings: (1) state who perceives maritime as strategic drivers and forces will seek more power for its maritime defense posture which is translated to defense budget, (2) big size countries tend to be an arms exporter country, and (3) state’s energy dependence often leads to a higher volume of arms transfers between countries.

Abstract

Indeks Ketimpangan Gender (IKG) merupakan indikator pendukung pembangunan dalam Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan pada isu gender. Oleh karenanya peneliti tertarik melakukan kajian pemodelan klasifikasi dengan tujuan melakukan prediksi tingkat IKG menurut kabupaten/kota di Indonesia tahun 2020 menggunakan algoritma machine learning. Algoritma yang diterapkan pada data IKG dan indikatornya adalah metode naïve bayes. Adapun indikator penyusun yang digunakan yaitu proporsi persalinan tidak di fasilitas kesehatan, proporsi perempuan berusia 15-49 tahun yang pernah kawin dan saat melahirkan hidup pertama, persentase keterwakilan di parlemen, proporsi penduduk laki-laki dan perempuan dengan pendidikan minimal SMA, dan tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja. Analisis dengan metode naive bayes pada empat kategori: rendah, menengah bawah, menengah atas, dan tinggi memberikan hasil klasifikasi yang baik terutama dalam mengklasifikasi kelas positif. Hasil akurasi keseluruhan data training sebesar 82.86 %, sedangkan pada data testing sebesar 83.72 %. Hasil klasifikasi dapat digunakan untuk peramalam IKG dan landasan pengambilan kebijakan dan penyusunan program untuk mengatasi ketimpangan pembangunan berbasis gender di Indonesia.
