Abstract

Digital transformation has become a key element in increasing the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially in the halal culinary sector, which faces challenges adapting to technology and digital market dynamics. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital transformation in the Makcik Cam MSME, to understand its impact on increasing competitiveness and the strategies implemented in facing the challenges of digitalization. Using a qualitative approach with a strategic case study on the Digital Transformation of Halal Food, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the business. This study used inductive thematic analysis. The results show that the digitalization process is carried out gradually through the use of social media, online platforms, and social network-based promotions. However, limited digital literacy, technological infrastructure, and marketing data management are key challenges. This research demonstrates that halal values are appropriate because they ensure that the entire production, distribution, and marketing processes of a product or service meet halal standards established by Islamic law and provide added value to consumers and businesses. This study provides theoretical contributions in developing the concept of locally-based digital transformation and halal values, and offers effectiveness for halal culinary MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The telecommunications sector is a pivotal driver of Indonesia’s digital economic growth, particularly amid the rapid adoption of information and communication technologies. CV Digital Satelit Indonesia—a service enterprise specializing in telecommunications equipment repair—has expanded its operations by integrating Islamic economic principles. This study examines how service ethics, innovative pricing, and digital marketing influence business growth within a Sharia-compliant framework. Using a quantitative design, data from 50 purposively selected respondents were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption checks, and t- and F-tests. Findings reveal that service ethics and price innovation have a statistically significant, positive impact on business development, while digital marketing shows no significant effect. Service ethics emerged as the strongest predictor (p = 0.001), indicating that delivery grounded in honesty, accountability, and integrity fosters greater trust and loyalty. The limited impact of digital marketing likely stems from promotional content lacking the emotional and spiritual depth needed to convey Islamic values effectively. Collectively, however, all independent variables significantly affect growth, highlighting the strategic value of embedding Sharia principles in service and pricing, alongside refining Islamic-oriented digital marketing to strengthen its persuasive capacity

Islamic finance is a global phenomenon that has penetrated various countries, both Muslim-majority countries and non-Muslim-majority countries. The inclusive character of Islamic finance makes it very possible for it to be accepted in various regions. The aim of this writing is to understand the latest developments in Islamic finance in these three countries from inclusive financial perspective. This community service paper approach uses literature study. The paper results show that Islamic finance in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand shows different degrees. Malaysia can be said to be a leader in the Islamic finance sector not only in Asia but also at the world level. Indonesia shows a strong target to become the world's halal center. Meanwhile, Thailand also does not want to be left behind, especially developing Islamic social finance apart from focusing on the halal tourism industry.

Abstract

This multisite study aims to identify common patterns and develop new propositions and theories based on research conducted at two locations: The Keranjang Bali and Krisna Oleh-Oleh Bali. Using a qualitative approach with a case study and multisite design, this study collects primary data through interviews and observations, while secondary data is obtained from documentation. Data analysis is conducted using both single-site and cross-site methods. The findings reveal differences in income enhancement strategies between the two businesses within the context of creative economy-based MSME. The Keranjang Bali provides employees with opportunities to increase their income by channeling their creativity, supported by capital from business owners, one example being the Solar Tees t-shirt product. To overcome obstacles in MSME development, both businesses enhance human resource skills by providing training to prospective employees before they become permanent staff. Additionally, the Department of Cooperatives and MSME plays a crucial role in supporting business development within the community. The expected outcome of this research is to offer effective strategies for improving employee and business owner income by positioning employees and the community as agents of change, driving innovation in creative economy-based MSME.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines how operational performance, service quality, and accountability influence public satisfaction at Perumda Air Minum Lae Nciho within an Islamic framework. Motivated by recurring complaints of unequal distribution, poor service, and delayed responses, the research underscores public service as an amanah requiring ihsan, in line with the Prophet’s teaching on itqan. Using a quantitative design with purposive sampling, 102 customers were surveyed and data analyzed through SEM-PLS. The model showed strong fit (SRMR = 0.062; Q2 > 0), with operational performance having the greatest effect (beta = 0.573), followed by service quality (beta = 0.240) and accountability (beta = 0.187). The model explained 86.4% of satisfaction variance (R2 = 0.864). Findings highlight the role of amanah, responsibility, and maqasid al-shariah in improving service quality. Recommendations include structured distribution, an online complaint system, and employee capacity building. Limitations relate to regional focus and variable scope; future studies should integrate technological innovation and Islamic leadership.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial technology, financial self-efficacy, and a hedonistic lifestyle on personal financial management among Generation Z in Medan City. Generation Z, as digital natives, are highly exposed to technological conveniences that often encourage impulsive consumption and hedonistic tendencies. The rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) has transformed the way individuals manage their finances, creating both opportunities for efficiency and risks of excessive spending. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents representing Generation Z through questionnaires distributed online. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques with SPSS. The results show that financial technology, financial self-efficacy, and a hedonistic lifestyle each have a positive and significant effect on personal financial management, both partially and simultaneously. Among these, financial technology has the strongest influence, followed by financial self-efficacy and hedonistic lifestyle. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.761 indicates that 76.1% of the variation in personal financial management can be explained by the three independent variables. These findings highlight that while technological advances enhance financial accessibility, strong self-efficacy and awareness are essential to maintain responsible financial behavior amid hedonistic lifestyle pressures.
