Abstract

The importance of the availability of textbooks can direct the activities of educators and students. For educators, textbooks become guidelines for the substance of competencies that should be taught in the learning process, and for students are guidelines for learning and are a substance of competencies that must be learned. This research aims to develop textbooks for Vocational Learning Studies courses. Vocational Learning Studies Subject. The validity is carried out by expert validation (expert judgment), while practicality is carried out based on practicality assessment by lecturers and students. This research uses the Ploomp development model which consists of 3 phases, namely: (1) preliminary research (initial research), (2) prototyping phase (development phase), (3) assessment phase (assessment phase). Data collection techniques using questionnaires and tests. The research subjects included three lecturer validators and six students as test subjects for the validation and effectiveness of textbooks. Data analysis was performed with quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of textbook validation by students obtained an average score of 95% or very valid, in terms of all aspects. This means that the textbook is very worth using and a little revision. Lecturer validators rated it with an average of 93% with very feasible criteria with little revision. The assessment of the practicality of textbooks by students obtained a score of 99%, which means that this textbook is very practical and can be used, while the assessment of practicality by lecturers, reaching a value of 81%, which means practical, may be used after minor revisions.

Abstract

The study findings indicate that the developed media was rated as "highly feasible" by media and subject matter experts. Classroom implementation received a "very good" response from students, who found it easier to comprehend the material. Furthermore, student learning outcomes improved significantly, with 100% successfully completing the post-test. The N-gain test results categorized the effectiveness of the simulation-based learning media as "moderate." Thus, this media has proven to be an effective and safe tool for enhancing students' understanding of AC electrical systems.

Abstract

The influence of the implementation of P5 on strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile at SMKN 1 Mojokerto has so far been limited to conjecture, not supported by measurable empirical data. This study aims to examine the extent of the contribution of the implementation of P5 in improving the Pancasila Student Profile in students. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. From a population of 498 students, a sample of 83 students was obtained with a margin of error of 10%. Data collection techniques were carried out through closed questionnaires and documentation. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of P5 has a real influence on improving the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely: (1) faith and piety to God Almighty (51.70%); (2) the ability to appreciate global diversity (44%); (3) independence (33.40%); (4) the spirit of mutual cooperation (38.60%); (5) critical thinking skills; (6) creativity. Overall, the implementation of P5 contributed 54.80% to the improvement of the Pancasila Student Profile. This finding implies that the more effective the implementation of P5, the greater its contribution to strengthening students' character across the six main dimensions. ABSTRAKKondisi pengaruh keterlaksanaan P5 terhadap penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila di SMKN 1 Mojokerto selama ini masih sebatas dugaan, belum didukung oleh data empiris yang terukur. Tujuan riset ini untuk mengkaji dampak keterlaksanaan P5 dalam meningkatkan karakteristik Pelajar Pancasila pada murid. Metode kuantitatif diterapkan dalam riset ini melalui pendekatan asosiatif kausal. Dari populasi 498 siswa, diperoleh sampel sebanyak 83 siswa dengan margin of error sebesar 10%. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner tertutup dan dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan P5 memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap peningkatan enam dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila, yaitu: (1) keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa (51,70%); (2) kemampuan menghargai keberagaman global (44%); (3) kemandirian (33,40%); (4) semangat gotong royong (38,60%); (5) kemampuan berpikir kritis; (6) kreativitas. Secara keseluruhan, keterlaksanaan P5 menyumbang sebesar 54,80% terhadap peningkatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Temuan ini menyiratkan bahwa semakin efektif pelaksanaan P5, semakin besar pula kontribusinya terhadap penguatan karakter siswa dalam enam dimensi utama.

Abstract

Skalabilitas server menjadi faktor penting dalam menjaga kinerja layanan berbasis web seiring meningkatnya jumlah pengguna. Salah satu pendekatan untuk meningkatkan skalabilitas adalah dengan menggunakan load balancing, di mana HAProxy menjadi salah satu pilihan yang banyak dimanfaatkan karena keandalannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kinerja server dengan implementasi HAProxy menggunakan algoritma load balancing Round-Robin. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan meliputi proses instalasi dan konfigurasi HAProxy, pengujian performa server dengan Apache JMeter, serta evaluasi distribusi beban kerja. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan HAProxy dengan algoritma Round-Robin efektif dalam menyebarkan beban secara merata dan secara signifikan mempercepat waktu respons server jika dibandingkan dengan sistem yang tidak menerapkan load balancing. Selain itu, kemampuan untuk menambah atau mengurangi jumlah server backend tanpa mempengaruhi kelancaran layanan yang ada menjadi salah satu keunggulan yang sangat menonjol. Oleh karena itu, penerapan HAProxy dengan algoritma Round-Robin direkomendasikan sebagai solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan skalabilitas server, terutama untuk sistem yang menangani lalu lintas tinggi dan membutuhkan distribusi beban yang optimal.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires higher vocational education, particularly in engineering, to emphasize practical competency and independent learning. This study aims to analyze active engagement as a mediator in the relationship between technological competency and practical modules on learning satisfaction, motivation, and self-regulated learning. The study used a quantitative-correlation approach with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis technique on 80 electrical engineering students, Surabaya State University (Unesa) who were selected using purposive sampling. The results showed that technological competence had a significant effect on active involvement (? = 0.291; p 0.01) and motivation (? = 0.276; p 0.05). The practical module has a significant effect on learning satisfaction, active engagement is the most potent factor influencing learning satisfaction, motivation, and self-regulated learning. Active engagement as a crucial mediating mechanism within the technology-enhanced learning framework is related to engagement-driven learning through collaborative projects, problem-based learning, and digital simulations. These findings are relevant to contributing to the digital transformation of vocational education and the needs of the renewable energy industry.
