Abstract

This research is conducted to describe Maleficent’s superego and its function in Robert Stromberg’s Maleficent movie 2014 version by applying Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis. The qualitative method is used to describe the analysis. The result of this research reveals the evolution of Maleficent’s superego before and after Aurora’s birth. The first one is the superego believing that humans are wicked, represented by the human king and Stefan. In the second one, after meeting Aurora, her superego changes into believing that humans can be good. In the end, she is the true love of Aurora and can live side by side with her, eventually leading a harmonious life with the human kingdom. Hence, the superego’s function in the movie is pivotal to the plot twist, redefining Maleficent as both a villain and a heroine.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct a literature review of previous research on Information Technology and Higher Education Performance from 2020 - 2024. Information Technology Systems as a tool to help the performance of higher education, which is widely used in universities to improve their organization. this study uses SLR which presents quantitative data on Information Technology and Higher Education Performance there are measurements used, namely journals, variables, and theories as well as the field of science reaserch approach. The study results showed 30 articles from accredited national journals and national journals. The topic of higher education performance is influenced by information technology variables, quality assurance, learning perspectives, growth, internal perspectives. The theory used is the information technology system in higher education performance. State universities and private universities are researching a lot about Information Technology. But only a few universities use widely used Information Technology Systems such as Academic Management Information Systems, Sevima Platform, and E-Learning. Although universities have successfully implemented information technology systems, the main challenges faced are the digital divide, access to technology, and security. This research provides insights, benefits, and constraints in implementing and recommending Information Technology Systems and College Performance.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji dampak pengembangan kompetensi dan produktivitas kerja pada kinerja pegawai SMP Panca Budi Medan. Mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metodologi deskriptif dan asosiatif, penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh karyawan sekolah sebagai sampel melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner skala Likert, observasi di lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi, yang selanjutnya diolah menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Analisis data mengungkapkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan pada kinerja karyawan (koefisien 0,457; signifikansi 0,025). Demikian pula produktivitas kerja menunjukkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan (koefisien 0,352; signifikansi 0,050). Kedua variabel ini secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh sangat signifikan, dibuktikan dengan F-hitung 73,869 dan signifikansi 0,000. Nilai determinasi 77,9% mengindikasikan bahwa kedua variabel tersebut menjadi penentu utama kinerja karyawan, dengan sisa persentase dipengaruhi faktor-faktor lain di luar cakupan penelitian. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi merupakan faktor utama dalam peningkatan kinerja karyawan, didukung oleh kontribusi produktivitas kerja. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam merumuskan kebijakan pengembangan SDM yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kompetensi dan produktivitas untuk mencapai performa kerja yang unggul.

Abstract

The phenomenon of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) has become an issue affecting the moral and social values of the younger generation, including junior high school students. In addressing the challenges of globalization and the influence of foreign cultures, the "Impact of LGBT and Its Problems" socialization program at SMP Al-Hikmah Assalafiyyah was designed to provide comprehensive education to students. This program aims to enhance understanding of the impacts of LGBT from health, social, psychological, and religious perspectives while instilling moral and Islamic values to shape students' positive character. The activities utilize an educational and participatory approach, involving interactive discussions, simulations, and data-driven material presentations. The primary target is 8th-grade students who are considered vulnerable to social influences. The program results showed an increase in students' understanding of the impacts of LGBT, including health issues such as the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases, social impacts such as the spread of abnormal sexual behaviors, and effects on education and safety. The program also succeeded in encouraging students to think critically and uphold religious and cultural norms in daily life. With high participant enthusiasm, this program is expected to serve as a preventive measure against LGBT influences while strengthening the role of religious education as a foundation for shaping students' morals. This program provides strategic insights for expanding Islamic outreach in educational settings, particularly in creating a young generation with good character and broad insights in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan di lembaga TPQ-TQA Baitussalam Masjid Baitussalam serta mengeksplorasi pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas pendidikan agama yang disampaikan kepada anak-anak. Lembaga TPQ-TQA memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan moral anak-anak dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semi-kualitatif dengan mewawancarai pemimpin dan pengajar TPQ-TQA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam lembaga TPQ-TQA, terdapat variasi gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh pengelola dan pengajar. Gaya kepemimpinan otokratis ditemukan dalam beberapa lembaga, di mana pengelola TPQ-TQA memberikan arahan yang tegas dan kuat kepada pengajar dan siswa. Selanjutnya, terdapat juga penggunaan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis, di mana pengelola TPQ-TQA melibatkan pengajar dan siswa dalam pengambilan keputusan dan memberikan ruang untuk partisipasi aktif. Selain itu, gaya kepemimpinan karismatik juga ditemukan lembaga TPQ-TQA. Pengelola dengan gaya kepemimpinan ini memiliki visi yang kuat, menginspirasi, dan mendorong pengajar dan siswa untuk mencapai potensi terbaik mereka. Meskipun terdapat variasi gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan di lembaga TPQ-TQA, gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif didasarkan pada kombinasi dari ketiga gaya tersebut

Abstract

Tunjangan prestasi kerja merupakan semua pendapatan atau penghasilan maupun balas jasa yang berbentuk uang atau berupa barang langsung atau yang diterima pegawai sebagai imbalan atas jasa yang diberikan kepada instansi. Karyawan merupakan individu yang bekerja untuk suatu perusahaan atau organisasi dengan status sebagai pekerja tetap atau pekerja kontrak. Mereka biasanya menerima gaji atas pekerjaan yang mereka lakukan. Secara umum, karyawan dipekerjakan untuk melakukan tugas dan tanggung jawab tertentu sesuai dengan perjanjian kerja yang telah disepakati. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode ROC (Rank Order Centroid) dan metode OCRA (Operational Conpetitivness Rating Analysis) dapat digunakan untuk seleksi penerimaan tunjangan prestasi karyawan. Sistem pendukung keputusan dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk menetukan calon penerimaan tunjangan prestasi karyawan yang pantas untuk diterima dengan perolehan nilai alternatif terbaik yang berada pada alternatif A2 dengan nama Jenny Novita Sari sebesar 0.355.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), and Operational Efficiency (BOPO) on the profitability of Islamic banks, using a case study of Bank Muamalat Indonesia during the period of 2014–2023. Profitability in this research is measured using Return on Assets (ROA). The research employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The results show that CAR and FDR have a positive partial effect on ROA, while BOPO has a significant negative effect on ROA. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a significant influence on bank profitability. These findings indicate that capital risk management, the effectiveness of intermediation functions, and operational efficiency play crucial roles in enhancing the financial performance of Islamic banks. The implications of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive understanding and practical recommendations for improving the financial performance of Bank Muamalat Indonesia.

Abstract

Code-mixing or language mixing is often found in bilingual contexts, especially in academic activities such as student presentations. This research is motivated by the use of code-mixing by sixth-semester students of the English Education Study Program of Universitas Kuningan in the presentation of Sociolinguistics in the ELT course. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that encourage the use of code-mixing, analyze the pattern of code-mixing used, and evaluate its impact on the clarity of the message in the presentation. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, presentation transcripts, and interviews. The results showed that there were three types of code-mixing used, namely: inner code-mixing at 3.5% (3 utterances), outer code-mixing at 39.5% (34 utterances), and hybrid code-mixing as the most dominant at 57% (49 utterances) of the total 86 utterances analyzed. The five main factors driving the use of code-mixing are audience understanding, spontaneity of speaking, emphasizing important points, self-confidence, and limited vocabulary.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in the Merdeka Curriculum as a means of strengthening student character at Uswatun Hasanah Elementary School in Lubuklinggau. The focus of the study is on the extent to which differentiation strategies can foster values of responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and curiosity in students. The research uses a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and student character assessment questionnaires filled out after the learning process. The research subjects involved teachers and 52 fourth and fifth grade students. The questionnaire analysis results showed that 82% of students were in the excellent category in the responsibility indicator, 79% in the cooperation indicator, 75% in the discipline indicator, and 81% in the curiosity indicator. These findings were reinforced by observation results showing an increase in student active participation in group discussions and perseverance in completing project-based assignments. Interviews with teachers also confirmed that differentiation of content, process, and product helped students learn according to their individual needs and learning styles. In conclusion, the implementation of differentiated IPAS learning in the Merdeka Curriculum has proven to be effective in strengthening the character of elementary school students, with questionnaire data showing positive improvements in almost all aspects of character. This study recommends that teachers continue to develop differentiation strategies as an integral part of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

The commonly used human blood group system is the ABO system. Determination of blood group is important in blood transfusion activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of the ABO blood group system and the frequency of the ABO blood group allele in students of the Biology and Science Education study program at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Determination of blood group was carried out by the Slide Test method which was carried out randomly with a sample of 90 people. Determination of blood group is done by the principle of agglutination that occurs between antigens and antibodies. The results showed the frequency of blood group ABO system: A (20%); B (24%); AB (10%); O (46%). IA allele frequency (0.13); IB (0.07); IO (0.8). The proportion of the highest frequency of blood type is blood type O. These results indicate that the distribution of blood type O among students at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya is relatively the same as the results of other studies conducted in Indonesia.
