Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic forces us to continue to innovate and adapt to continue to carry out activities as before the pandemic. This digital adaptation or transformation needs to be done to minimize direct human contact. The educational institution, which is the meeting place for students, and teachers, makes the location quite vulnerable to the spread of Covid19. Educational institutions and university organizers are also encouraged to conduct online learning. Online learning media that can use include Quizizz and Kahoot. Quizizz and Kahoot are used to design quizzes, tests, polls, surveys, or diagnostic tests that can be separated from the primary teaching and learning process or are supplementary. This learning is applied to the teachers of TK Nurul Islam Rungkut Asri Timur Surabaya. During the two days of training, the teachers showed enthusiasm during the training. The methods applied are discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice. Six kindergarten teachers and two lecturers from UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur attended this training. The training results show that the method can align the learning media through Quizziz Kahoot with the gamification method for students. The results are indicated by the material presented, including pictures adapted to the student's age. The training results also show that participants can directly practice learning materials for their students, and their students can participate more actively in the gamification process. The feedback showed that all teacher participants stated that learning in Nurul Islam Kindergarten was appropriate, and 83% stated it was easy to implement.

Abstract

This research discusses the significant role of digital technology in the modern economy, particularly in relation to cybersecurity and the impact of technological disruption on business sustainability. The main topics analyzed include the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to detect cyber threats, strategies for protecting IT supply chains, and the challenges faced by the banking sector and the Internet of Things (IoT) in managing cybersecurity risks. The research also examines the impact of digitalization on social inequality and poverty in the European Union. Digital technologies such as automation, data analytics, and IoT drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency, but also introduce disruptive challenges that must be addressed through careful risk management and increased organizational capacity to ensure business resilience.

Abstract

Implementing delay tolerant networks (DTNs) in smart cities for developing countries is promising. DTNs offer a low-cost network communication solution without expensive infrastructure, such as 3G/4G or LPWA networks provided by commercial operators. This paper considers sensor data collection in the Surabaya smart city scenario, and the use of DTNs is examined instead of the expensive infrastructure. However, a customized and optimized protocol is required since no existing DTN routing protocol perfectly matches the scenario. This paper proposes integrating a hop count-based message queue (HCMQ) and a message time-to-live (TTL)-based drop policy (MTDP) into the spray and hop distance protocol (SNHD), an enhanced version of the spray and wait (SNW) protocol. The Surabaya smart city scenario was simulated on the one simulator with a wide range of message generation rates at each sensor node. The proposed integration significantly improves the total size of delivered messages, especially when the message generation rate is high, i.e., in congested situations, compared to other routing protocols in this scenario. It also exhibits an average latency lower than other routing protocols. Overall, this integration enhances the DTNs protocol’s performance in a low-cost alternative data collection in the Surabaya smart city scenario.

Abstract

The increasing global demand for electricity, driven by rapid urbanization and industrialization, necessitates accurate forecasting models to ensure efficient energy management. This study investigates electricity consumption patterns in Indonesia from 1970 to 2022 and evaluates time series forecasting methods for predicting future demand. The models employed include AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Exponential Smoothing, both of which are commonly used for short-term and long-term forecasts. The dataset was collected from Indonesia's national energy statistics, and preprocessing steps were applied to ensure data quality and consistency. Model performance was assessed using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). While ARIMA captured short-term trends, Exponential Smoothing demonstrated better long-term forecasting accuracy. The results highlight the effectiveness of these models in identifying electricity consumption trends and provide insights for policymakers and energy providers in optimizing energy distribution and production. Future work may incorporate advanced machine learning models and additional external factors for improved forecasting precision.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi informasi (TI) dan peran internet dalam pembangunan SMAN 1 Taman Sidoarjo menunjukkan betapa pentingnya memiliki infrastruktur jaringan yang andal untuk mendukung pendidikan dan pengelolaan sekolah. Studi ini memaparkan proses perancangan ulang jaringan mulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, desain, implementasi, operasi, dan optimalisasi, menggunakan metode PPDIOO sebagai panduan. Perancangan jaringan ini menggunakan Cisco Packet Tracer dan menggunakan topology hybrid. Dengan data observasi dan wawancara, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jaringan yang merata di seluruh ruangan sekolah diperlukan untuk mendukung pendidikan. Analisis dan perencanaan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan konektivitas jaringan untuk memastikan akses yang lebih luas ke sumber daya pendidikan online serta aplikasi penting seperti DAPODIK, e-raport, dan e-learning, serta untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akses siswa, guru, dan karyawan sekolah. Diharapkan rencana ini akan meningkatkan efisiensi dan aksesibilitas internet untuk siswa, guru, dan staf sekolah.

Abstract

In the current digital era, cybersecurity of data and information systems. The threat of attacks, or , is a form of threat that continues to grow along with advances in technology. This research aims to learn about cybersecurity strategies in dealing with . The method used in this research is a literature review. This journal was prepared based on an analysis of research results from various journals accessed through secondary data sources, namely the Google Scholar database, and e-resources from Springer, Cambridge, and Taylor and Francis. The research results show that implementing technology such as encryption, multifactor authentication, and user training, are some of the effective steps that have been proven to reduce risk. However, challenges in implementing this strategy remain, both from a technical and non-technical perspective, which require special attention from researchers and practitioners in the field of cyber security.

Abstract

Beragamnya emosi dari masyarakat dalam merespon dinamika pemerintahan yang sedang berlangsung saat ini sudah berlangsung dari tahun ke tahun. Banyak informasi yang tidak tersampaikan dengan baik karena kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait konteks emosional yang terkandung dalam informasi tersebut. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan sebuah pengelompokkan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan performa algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM) dan Random Forest yang diintegrasikan dengan teknik word embedding dalam klasifikasi emosi pada komentar YouTube berbahasa Indonesia terkait kebijakan pemerintah. Data pada penelitian ini sebanyak 3074 data, dan akan dibangun total 16 skenario pemodelan. Proses klasifikasi terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu klasifikasi emosi dan klasifikasi jenis emosi. Penggunaan teknik sampling dan rasio pembagian data memberikan hasil yang bervariasi di setiap model. Model dengan performa paling optimal untuk klasifikasi emosi adalah Random Forest dengan Word2Vec dengan hasil akurasi 86%, sedangkan model klasifikasi jenis emosi dengan performa paling optimal adalah Support Vector Machine dengan FastText dengan nilai akurasi sebesar 77%. Word2Vec mampu menangkap hubungan semantis kata cukup baik walaupun jumlah dataset yang digunakan relatif kecil. Di satu sisi lain, FastText juga mampu mengimbangi performa Word2Vec karena kemampuannya memanfaatkan representasi berbasis subkata untuk menangani kata-kata yang tidak terdapat dalam korpus.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi smart environment di kota Makassar menimbulkan tantangan komunikasi, terutama karena koneksi jaringan yang tidak selalu stabil. Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) adalah solusi yang memungkinkan pengiriman data meskipun jaringan sering terputus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyebarkan beberapa protokol routing DTN dalam mendukung lingkungan cerdas di Makassar, dengan mempertimbangkan jaringan yang dinamis dan mobilitas perangkat IoT serta pengguna di kota. Protokol yang diuji meliputi Epidemic Routing, PRoPHET, dan Spray and Wait. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan ONE Simulator, dengan mengukur kinerja berdasarkan persentase pesan yang berhasil terkirim (probabilitas pengiriman), waktu tunda (latency), biaya tambahan (overhead), Jarak jaringan (hopcount). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa setiap protokol memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan yang bergantung pada situasi jaringan dan pergerakan perangkat. Protokol PRoPHET lebih efisien dalam kondisi mobilitas yang teratur, sedangkan Epidemic Routing lebih baik untuk situasi darurat di mana jaringan sering terganggu. Penelitian ini memberikan panduan penting dalam memilih protokol DTN yang tepat untuk mendukung pengembangan smart environment di Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT. Sumber Makmur alam Sentosa dimana perusahaan tersebut tidak memiliki jaringan internet sehingga memperlambat kinerja karyawan dan proses bisnis perusahaan oleh karena itu jaringan internet sangat dibutuhkan. Perusahaan tersebut membutuhkan internet yang optimal sehingga digunakan skala prioritas pada setiap usernya. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode PPDIOO (Prepare, Plan, Design, Operate, Optimize) namun hanya sampai tahapan design saja. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi. Tahap pertama penulis melakukan identifikasi terkait permasalahan dan menetapkan rumusan masalah agar ruang lingkup tidak melebar. Pada tahap plan penulis menentukan parameter, tatanan serta peralatan yang akan digunakan. dilanjutkan ke fase design dimana penulis merancang tatanan dan melakukan pengujian. selanjutnya tahap evaluasi yaitu melakukan analisis data yang didapatkan setelah pengujian dan melakukan evaluasi terkait hasil penelitian. Dikarenakan keterbatasan sumber daya maka skala pengujian diperkecil dengan skala rasio 10 : 1, setelah itu penulis memastikan bahwa jaringan dapat diakses oleh user, setelah itu dilakukan manajemen bandwidth menggunakan metode Per Connection Queue (PCQ) dan dilakukan pengujian dengan melakukan download data sebesar 1 gigabyte. Didapatkan hasil bahwa setiap user mendapatkan bandwidth yang teratur berdasarkan skala prioritasnya sehingga tidak ada user yang tidak mendapatkan bandwidth. Dengan hasil tersebut manajemen bandwidth telah berhasil dilakukan dan kebutuhan telah terpenuhi.

Abstract

The El Nino phenomenon in 2023 caused more than 50% of Shallot farmers in Pandean Village, Nganjuk Regency, to experience crop failure due to limited water and a weak data-based management system. The target of this community service is 30 shallot farmers who are members of the P4S Santosa Jaya group. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' understanding of the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in shallot cultivation through socialization, training, and farmer assistance. The implementation method includes preparation, interactive socialization with pre-tests and post-tests, as well as evaluation of farmers' perceptions. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge, where before the activity 50% of participants were in the less knowledgeable category, and after the activity, it increased to 50% in the knowledgeable category and 26.7% in the very knowledgeable category. In addition, farmers' perceptions of IoT are largely positive (50%), although there are still neutral (30%) and skeptical (20%) responses regarding investment costs, internet access, and technical skills. These findings demonstrate that educational assistance can enhance agricultural digital literacy while serving as a first step toward data-driven farming adoption.
