Abstract

Creative economy has become one of the pillars of regional development in Indonesia, including in Banten Province. There is significant potential in the tourism, cultural, and MSME sectors, which are continuously being developed by local governments through medium-term development policies. However, the development of the creative economy still faces various challenges, such as limited human resources, institutions, and market access. This research reviews the development of the creative economy in Banten Province by integrating public policy study results, dependency theory, and local innovation practices based on ecotourism. Through a SWOT analysis, this article formulates development strategies that emphasize collaboration among actors (Penta Helix), increasing human resource capacity, product diversification, and strengthening local branding. The study's results show that the development of the creative economy in Banten must be directed towards sustainable, independent models that are community-oriented to avoid falling into independency patterns global economic.

Abstract

NS1 gene of Dengue Virus Serotype 2 (DENV-2) plays a significant role in the pathogenesis and clinical severity of dengue infections, including Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. Mutations in the NS1 gene of DENV-2 are closely associated with the clinical severity of dengue. Methods: This review article employs a systematic review methodology, utilizing Scopus, PubMed and Web of Science from 2015 to 2025. Results: The T164S mutation was consistently associated with increased severity through elevated secreted NS1 (sNS1) production, complement activation, and inflammation. Conversely, the S103T mutation appeared in milder cases. NS1 mutations also correlated with immune hyperactivation, vascular leakage, and, in some cases, neurological symptoms such as encephalitis. Despite these findings, direct causality between specific mutations and clinical outcomes requires further investigation. Conclusion: Mutations in the NS1 gene of DENV-2 affect the stability, secretion, and immunogenic properties of the NS1 protein, leading to increased vascular leakage and severe disease outcomes

Abstract

Abstract

Experts and the government have always been concerned about economic development in order to sustain and be able to make significant and high-quality contributions to the advancement of a better society. As the hub of Indonesia's economy and the island with the densest population, Java Island is crucial to the country's economy. This study aims to examine the possible impacts of investment and wage policies on Java Island's economic development using a quantitative descriptive-analytical approach research methodology. The results of the t and F test statistics confirm that foreign and local investment and wage policies contribute significantly to the Economic Development of Java Island. Foreign investment brings advantages in terms of technology and global market access, local investment plays an important role in strengthening the domestic economy. A balanced wage policy, linked to productivity, is important to ensure that the economic development generated by this investment is sustainable and inclusive.

Abstract

Abstract

Bonjeruk Tourism Village in Central Lombok is rich in local biodiversity, including citronella (Cymbopogon citratus) and coconut-based products (VCO), which have high potential as herbal tourism commodities. However, the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) has not yet optimized these natural resources into standardized products. This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of Pokdarwis through training on the production of standardized herbal anti-mosquito and UV-protective lotion. The activities included education on herbal formulation, hands-on production training, SOP development, branding, and introduction of product legality. A total of 22 participants attended the program. Pre- and post-assessment showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, particularly regarding the benefits of herbal ingredients (from 45.45% to 68.18% in the “strongly agree” category), hygiene practices (13.64% to 40.91%), and confidence in independently producing herbal lotion (18.18% to 50%). Following the completion of the program, the Pokdarwis Bonjeruk and community members were able to independently conduct mass production of two raw materials (Virgin Coconut Oil/VCO and citronella oil) and herbal lotion. The products are actively used by local farmers and gardeners for daily outdoor activities, particularly for protection against ultraviolet exposure and mosquito bites. Furthermore, the products have been commercialized and sold to both domestic and international tourists. Positive feedback from foreign tourists indicates strong acceptance of the products’ aroma, texture, and perceived benefits
