Abstract

In the context of increasingly complex global changes and technological disruption, educational leadership faces strategic challenges that necessitate a multidimensional approach. This research aims to examine various educational leadership models through a multidisciplinary qualitative approach and a literature review of 45 national and international references. Thematic analysis was employed to identify leadership patterns, values, and strategies relevant to the era of disruption. The findings reveal ten thematic leadership categories consolidated into four main pillars: leadership styles, transformation strategies, educational quality, and responses to disruption. The results indicate that transformational, visionary, adaptive, and inclusive leadership styles are instrumental in enhancing the effectiveness of educational institutions. Furthermore, digital, instructional, and spirituality-based leadership enrich the ethical and innovative dimensions of institutional governance. The conclusion affirms the importance of synthesizing classical and contemporary approaches, as well as the need to develop contextual leadership models that are integrative and grounded in local wisdom. This study contributes to the development of leadership theory and practice that is reflective, collaborative, and responsive to the educational challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as an innovative strategy for enhancing the quality of sustainable education in the digital transformation era. The background of this study is predicated on the need for educational institutions to manage quality in a more structured, reflective, and adaptive manner in response to change. This study employs an exploratory qualitative approach with a multiple case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies at two high schools with different institutional characteristics. The findings indicate that the BSC can serve as an effective strategic management tool, incorporating five complementary perspectives: stakeholders, internal processes, learning and growth, financial, and strategic sustainability. The application of the BSC was shown to improve governance efficiency, strengthen a reflective culture, and align school strategies with national policies such as Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) and the objectives of SDG 4. The conclusion of this research affirms that the BSC is not merely a technical measurement tool, but also a reflective framework capable of fostering a more adaptive, participatory, and sustainable education system.

Abstract

This research examines the transformation of educational supervision in improving school quality through the integration of transformative leadership, teacher professionalism, and a global-contextual perspective. The background of the study is based on the paradigm shift in supervision from an administrative approach towards reflective and collaborative coaching. The purpose of this study is to explore the dynamics of implementing supervision that emphasizes coaching, professional dialogue, and the adoption of international practices within a local context. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation studies, which are then validated through a member check and triangulation process. The results of the research indicate that school principals play a crucial role as collaborative leaders in shaping a participatory and reflective supervision ecosystem. Teachers experienced an increase in pedagogical and vocational capacity through PLC (Professional Learning Community) forums and practice-based coaching. Supervision is also beginning to be used as part of the internal quality assurance system. Structural obstacles such as time constraints and resistance are still encountered but can be overcome through innovative supervision strategies. In conclusion, an adaptive and contextual transformation of supervision is capable of driving continuous improvement in the quality of education.

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era has created new challenges and opportunities in governance, leadership ethics, and technological integration. This study aims to examine educational management from a global research perspective by highlighting the dynamics of digitalization, ethical principles, and governance policies. A qualitative multidisciplinary approach was employed using a systematic literature review (SLR). Data were sourced from 40 high-reputation scientific publications, including Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), SINTA, and DOAJ indexed journals. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis and narrative synthesis. The findings reveal five main points: (1) global trends indicate a shift towards reflective and collaborative leadership; (2) digitalization is driving the adoption of AI-based learning systems and big data; (3) ethical principles are a key determinant of the credibility of educational governance; (4) educational policies require cross-cultural contextual adaptation; and (5) a gap persists between the integration of theory and practice. In conclusion, modern educational management needs to be developed through a multidisciplinary approach that combines digital innovation, ethical values, and sensitivity to the global context.
