Abstract

Twitter has become one of the forums used to introduce mini fiction literary works. One of the accounts that tries to bind Twitter users to be interested, like and participate in creating fictionmini literary works is the @fiksimini account. With different forms and characteristics, the @fiksimini account can make its followers and readers respond to topics that are thrown and cause economic interpretations. This study aims to analyze forms of economic interpretation that come from the reception of readers of the @fiksimini account on Twitter. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data source used was the @fiksimini account on Twitter during July 2019 to July 2020. Data collection was carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. The data collection instrument is the researcher himself (human instrument) using Iser's literary reception parameters. The data analysis technique in this study uses semantic and pragmatic equivalents in analyzing reader comments based on their economic interpretations. The data analysis stage was carried out in three stages, namely (1) word reduction; (2) data presentation; and (3) drawing conclusions. The results show that there are six forms of economic interpretation, namely the form of difficulty in getting a job by 30.1%, the form of being a guarantor by 11%, the form of caste differences by 11%, the form of running out of inventory by 7%, and the form of shares amounting to 3.1 %. The forms of economic interpretation contained in the @fiksimini account can provide an illustration that most Indonesian people are still far from a prosperous and prosperous life

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meninjau hasil penelitian Gambaran Pendidikan Karakter Anak Usia Dini di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 berdasarkan landasan ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian analisis konten dengan objek Gambaran Pendidikan Karakter Anak Usia Dini di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 tahun 2020. Analisis data dilakukan dengan penafsiran secara deskriptif yang menggunakan tiga langkah, yaitu memahami isi, memisahkan bagian tertentu, dan menganalisis hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gambaran Pendidikan Karakter Anak Usia Dini di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 memiliki landasan ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi. Namun, terdapat bagian-bagian yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) pemaparan lebih rinci mengenai acuan dalam menentukan nilai-nilai karakter anak usia dini; (2) kurangnya penjelasan dalam instrumen penelitian yang dibuat dalam bentuk tabel; (3) kurangnya penjelasan mengenai rubik penilaian; (4) pada bagian hasil hanya menampilkan kemandirian, kepercayaan diri, dan tanggung jawab, sedangkan di rubik penilaian terdapat 7 aspek dengan 8 indikator.

Abstract

Maraknya kasus bullying atau perundungan yang terjadi di Indonesia terutama di sekolah sungguh sangat mengkhawatirkan. Pemerintah sebenarnya sudah melakukan upaya dalam mencegah dan menanggulangi fenomena ini. Namun, hasilnya belum signifikan. Untuk itu, perlu semua elemen turut membantu dan mencegah tindakan bullying yang terus terjadi di mana-mana. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat perlu dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi. Tim dosen Universitas Budi Darma memilih SD Negeri 068004 Medan Tuntungan untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sebab sekolah tersebut diketahui masih sering melakukan tindakan bullying seperti mengejek dan memukul sesama teman. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian di SD Negeri 068004 Medan Tuntungan menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dengan antusias mampu mengetahui dan memahami pengertian, bentuk, dampak dan cara pencegahan dari Tindakan bullying. Selain itu, peserta didik juga mampu memahami pentingnya bersikap baik, sopan dan santun kepada semua orang terutama kepada teman di sekolah dan tidak melakukan tindakan bullying karena tindakan tersebut tergolong perilaku menyimpang secara sosial dan emosional.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching computer network topics using video media among eleventh-grade students at SMA Nasrani 3 Medan. The PBL model, which emphasizes learning through real-world problem-solving, is designed to foster students’ critical thinking, independence, and active engagement in the learning process. This research employed a classroom action research design, conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and assessment sheets administered after the instructional sessions. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the application of the PBL model supported by video media significantly enhanced students’ critical thinking skills and their ability to solve problems effectively. Thus, the PBL approach proves to be effective in improving both the learning process and outcomes in computer network instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in identifying narrative texts using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning method for seventh-grade students at MTs Al Washliyah. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of three meetings. The research setting was MTs Al Washliyah in Lubuk Pakam, and the study followed the Kemmis and Taggart model. The subjects of the study were 30 seventh-grade students, consisting of 13 male and 17 female students. Data collection techniques included collaborative observation and documentation, focusing on three aspects: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The research instruments used were: affective assessment format, student worksheets, and psychomotor assessment format. The data analysis technique employed was descriptive quantitative statistical analysis. The results indicated that the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning method, supplemented with PowerPoint media, successfully enhanced students' learning outcomes in describing narrative texts. This was evident from the improved student learning outcomes in each cycle. In cycle I, 17 students (57%) achieved mastery, while 13 students (43%) did not meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). In cycle II, the number of students meeting the KKM increased to 22 students (73%), with 8 students (27%) not meeting the KKM. These findings suggest that the Numbered Head Together (NHT) method significantly improved students' ability to identify narrative texts.

Abstract

Language can also be understood as a system of learning that involves communication procedures. In language learning, one essential component is writing skills, which are crucial to develop and practice—particularly in writing narrative essays. A narrative essay is a form of writing that describes events in chronological order. To enhance students' ability to write narrative essays, this study employed the Picture and Picture method, which presents instructional material through a sequence of images integrated with media. This research utilized a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 25 seventh-grade students at MTs Alwashliyah Pantai Labu during the 2021/2022 academic year. The aim was to improve their narrative essay writing skills. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ writing performance, with the average score increasing from 67.2 before the implementation of the method to 81.6 afterward. These findings indicate that the Picture and Picture method is more effective in enhancing students’ writing skills compared to the previously used lecture-based approach.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the narrative writing skills of seventh-grade students at MTs Alwasiyah Pantai Labu through the implementation of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) learning method. The research was conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR) over two cycles, each comprising one meeting, involving 22 students as research participants. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, utilizing observation, written tests, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods by calculating the class average scores. The success criteria were set at a minimum class average score of 70 and at least 80% of students achieving mastery learning. The results indicated that the pre-action average score was 64.7 with 8 students not achieving mastery, which improved to 73.4 in the second cycle with only 3 students not achieving mastery. These findings demonstrate that the application of the STAD method effectively enhances students’ narrative writing skills and their learning motivation.

Abstract

Curriculum evaluation is a strategic step in ensuring the quality of education. This article examines various aspects of curriculum evaluation through a literature review of academic sources published between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that the most frequently criticized aspects of curriculum implementation include the misalignment of instructional content with students' needs and characteristics, as well as the limited relevance of curriculum content to advances in knowledge and labor market demands. In addition, qualitative evaluation models—such as in-depth interviews and participatory observation—are recommended, as they are capable of capturing dimensions of the learning process that are often overlooked by quantitative approaches. This review highlights the importance of selecting appropriate evaluation models as a foundation for continuous improvement and the development of a curriculum that is more adaptive to change.

Abstract

Criminal acts such as assault or rape are things that cannot be tolerated. This research uses qualitative data with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, attention, and notes. As for the analysis method, the approach is based on the Critical Discourse Analysis model of Teun A. Van Dijk. Based on the discourse analysis of the news discourse of Spanish celebrities raped by 7 people in India, 4 suspects were arrested published by CNN Indonesia media, it can be concluded that the news preparation structure has a conceptual framework following Teun A. Van Dijk's theory which includes macro structure, superstructure and micro structure. Microstructure is a dimension of AWK that has the most detailed discussion. The microstructure consists of semantics, which consists of 6 data, syntax has 8 data, and rhetoric consists of 2 data. The level of a person's understanding in conducting discourse analysis on a news discourse can influence the perception to respond to the contents of the news.

Abstract

Study This aiming for analyze news about difference date the beginning of Ramadan between the Minister of Religion and Muhammadiyah in the letter online news. Types of research This is study qualitative, with approach specifically using analysis models discourse critical Teun A. Van Dijk. Analysis method This covers stage identification, description, and interpretation to structure text news. Data sources used is article online news from CNN Indonesia March 6, 2024 entitled Potential Difference in Ramadan Start Date, Minister of Religion and Muhammadiyah Speak Up. Data collection techniques used is technique read and take notes. While technique data analysis used covering data reduction, data presentation, and extraction conclusion. Dimension text Van Dijk's approach is differentiated become three, namely structure macro, suprastructure, and structure micro. Structure macro referring to the meaning the whole thing that can under scrutiny from news. Suprastructure pointing to the frame a news, such as introduction to be continued with Contents main, conclusion, and closing. Whereas structure micro referring to the meaning local a news that can dug up from aspect semantics, syntax, and rhetoric. The results of the study This show that the media is more tend prioritize the authority of the Minister of Religion in determine date the beginning of Ramadan, and emphasized the agreement national. From the results analysis can concluded that information provided has fulfil criteria structure Teun A. Van Dijk model text. Analysis discourse critical disclose existence use language that tends to own objective certain with the party considered more Correct or wrong in determine date the beginning of Ramadan.
