Abstract

This research aims to find out the level of mathematical literacy ability of students reviewed from the mastery of prerequisite materials, namely number material and changes and data. This research is a kualitati declututif study conducted in the final semester of 2021/2022, which is carried out offline in students of class VIII of State Junior High School 5 Makassar. Data collection techniques are carried out by test and interview methods. Data is analyzed using data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. Research instruments used in the form of tests of mathematical literacy skills. The results of the research from this study, the subjects of high material mastery as a whole answer the test problem correctly only difficulty using his reasoning in solving problems in problems, but many do the right application in answering literacy questions, but still somewhat lack in explaining mathematical concepts used in answering problems even though they have been written, Moreover, with the mastery of low material that really can not explain what mathematical concepts it uses in answering literacy questions. As for the recommendations of researchers, for future studies that want to conduct similar research should examine more broadly and develop the ability of mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mathematical communication ability of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pangkep on the linear program material. This research is a qualitative research. The research procedure includes the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. The selection of research subjects was carried out by looking at the students' academic mathematics scores, namely the highest, medium, and lowest scores in the class swith the KKM score as a reference for assessment. The instruments used are tests of mathematical communication ability and interviews. Checking the validity of the data used was the triangulation technique. The results showed that the students of class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences lacked an understanding of the Linear Program material so that the students had low mathematical communication skills in the Linear Program material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen kuasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII tahun ajaran 2017/2018, dengan mengambil dua kelas untuk dijadikan kelas eksperimen (XII IPA2) dengan jumlah siswa 37 orang dan kelas kontrol (XII IPA4) dengan jumlah 36 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra software GeoGebra pada pokok bahasan program linear, dan (2) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra software GeoGebra pada pokok bahasan program linear. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh simpulan penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) Pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Rerata skor postes pada kelas inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra dan konvensional yaitu 9,70 (60,63%) dan 7,84 (49,01%), dari rerata skor postes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra lebih tinggi daripada kelas konvensional. Untuk n-gain kelas inkuiri berbantuan software Geogebra lebih tinggi daripada kelas konvensional yaitu masing-masing 0,41 berada dalam kategori sedang dan 0,23 berada dalam kategori rendah. Dan 2) kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran inkuiri software Geogebra sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Walaupun pada awal pertemuan masih dibutuhkan waktu penyesuaian, akan tetapi pada pertemuan selanjutnya pembelajaran berlangsung sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditentukan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model MEA (Means – Ends – Analysis) dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Libureng Kabupaten Bone semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre – experimental designdengan bentuk one – group pretest – posttest design yang hanya melinatkan satu kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dengan caracluster random sampling. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan angket respons siswa.Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Analisis hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor rata – rata hasil belajar matematika siswa sebelum diterapkan model MEA adalah 18.57 dan berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan standar deviasi 4.47, sedangkan skor rata – rata hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan model MEA adalah 80.23 dengan standar deviasi 6.55 dimana skor terendah adalah 62 dan skor tertinggi adalah 94. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh bahwa 22 siswa atau 84.6% mencapai ketuntasan individu dan 4 siswa atau 15.4% tidak mencapai ketuntasan individu. Ini berarti ketuntasan secara klasikal tercapai dengan nilai gain ternormalisasi yaitu 0.7577 berada pada kategori tinggi. (2) aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori baik atau positif dengan rata – rata 86.05%. (3) angket respons siswa menunjukkan bahwa respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui MEA positif dengan rata – rata 77.5%.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe students' mathematical conceptual understanding in terms of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The subjects of this study were 3 seventh grade students at MTS Guppi Rannaloe Kab. Gowa, each of which represents: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The data in this study were obtained using research instruments, namely (1) the researcher himself; (2) learning style questionnaire; (3) concept understanding ability test; and (4) interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis techniques, including: (1) data condensation, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions and verification. From the results of this study it can be concluded that; (1) students with visual learning styles are able to fulfill 2 indicators, namely giving examples and non-examples of concepts, and expressing concepts in various forms of mathematical representation; (2) students with auditory learning style do not meet any of the indicators; (3) students with kinesthetic learning styles are able to fulfill 2 indicators, namely giving examples and non-examples of concepts, and expressing concepts in the form of mathematical representations.

Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) merupakan kecerdasan dalam mengatasi  kesulitan dengan  menentukan berbagai strategi dan menjadi penentu dalam kepampuan menyelesaian masalah. Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika bagi siswa merupakan suatu persoalan pokok yang perlu ditinjau lebih lanjut berdasarkan Adversity Quotient (AQ). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa ditinjau dari adversity quotient dengan kategori climbers, campers, dan quitters. Penelitian merupakan deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa dengan subjek sebanyak 3 orang yang mewakili masing-masing kategori adversity quotient. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes, dan wawancara. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara tiga kategori adversity quotient dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, dimana; siswa kategori climbers memiliki kemampuan yang sangat baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah dengan memenuhi keempat indikator yaitu memahami, merencanakan, melaksanakan pemecahan masalah, dan melakukan evaluasi kembali. Selanjutnya, siswa kategori campers ditemukan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang cukup dengan mampu memenuhi tiga indikator yaitu memahami, merencanakan, dan melaksanakan pemecahan masalah. Sedangkan siswa kategori quitters ditemukan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang rendah, dimana hanya mampu memenuhi satu indikator penyelesaian masalah yaitu memahami masalah. Adversity Quotient (AQ) is intelligence in overcoming difficulties by determining various strategies and becoming the determinant in solving the problems. The poor mathematical problem-solving ability of students is a major problem that needs to be reviewed further based on the Adversity Quotient (AQ). The main purpose of this research is to analyze and describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of the adversity quotient in the categories of climbers, campers, and quitters. This research is a qualitative descriptive that was conducted on eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency with 3 subjects representing each adversity quotient category. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data collected was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this research indicate that there are differences between three adversity quotient categories in mathematical problem solving abilities, where; Climbers category students have very good ability in solving problems by fulfilling the four indicators, namely understanding, planning, implementing problem solving, and re-evaluating. Furthermore, the campers category students were found to have sufficient problem-solving ability by being able to meet three indicators, namely understanding, planning, and implementing problem solving. Meanwhile, students in the quitters category were found to have low problem-solving abilities, which were only able to fulfill one problem-solving indicator, namely understanding the problem

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to produce mathematical learning tools on comparative material through a discovery learning model in class VII students of MTs Muhammadiyah Wuring that are valid, practical, and effective. The development model employed in this study referred to 4D development model, which consisted of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The resulted product is in the form of RPP and LKPD with a discovery learning model on comparative material that can train students ability to solve problems and can make students easily understand mathematical concepts and improve their learning outcomes. The learning tools that had been developed was then validated by tho experts. After validated, the learning device was tested at 22 students of class VII MTs Muhammadiyah Wuring. The result of the study show that the learning tools in the form of RPP and LKPD of the discovery learning model that have been developed have been validated and show that the averages are 3,7 and 3,5 respectively, with very valid criteria. The learning tools based on discovery learning is stated as practical and effective, because the results of the practically test reveal: (1) The percentage of feasibility of the learning tools RPP and LKPD is 93,62% and 88,89% with a very decent category, and (2) The teacher’s ability in managing the discovery learning model of mathematics learning is very good with an average of 3,56. This learning tools also meets the criteria of effectiveness, with: (1) The student learning outcomes obtained an average score of 76,67 with completeness percentage is 81,8%, (2) The student activity shows a very good category with an average of 3,59, (3) the result of observations on the ability of teachers to manage mathematics learning using the discovery learning model show an average of 3,56 with a very good category, (4) The students gave a positive response to the learning tools with the discovery learning model with a percentage of 86%. Therefore, the results of the study shows that the product of learning tools developed is categorized as valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is how the students' mathematical reasoning ability on SPLTV material is viewed from the field independent and field dependent cognitive styles. This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities on SPLTV material in terms of field independent and field dependent cognitive styles at SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Makassar. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The instruments used are GEFT test, mathematical reasoning ability test and interview guide. The subjects used in this study were 6 students of class X SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Makassar, namely 3 students with field independent cognitive style with high, medium, low mathematical reasoning abilities and 3 students with field dependent cognitive style with high, medium, and medium mathematical reasoning abilities. low in solving problems related to SPLTV material. The results showed that students with field independent cognitive style with high category of mathematical reasoning ability were able to fulfill all indicators well except the ability to check the validity of arguments. Students in the medium category are able to fulfill 3 indicators well, namely the ability to submit conjectures, perform mathematical manipulations, compile evidence and give reasons for the correctness of solutions and are less able to meet the indicators of drawing conclusions. Students in the low category are able to fulfill 2 indicators well, namely the ability to submit conjectures and perform mathematical manipulations, are still lacking in compiling evidence and giving reasons for the correctness of solutions and still lacking in drawing conclusions. Students with field dependent cognitive style with high category mathematical reasoning abilities are able to fulfill 3 indicators of mathematical reasoning well, namely the ability to perform mathematical manipulations, compile evidence for the correctness of solutions and draw conclusions and are quite capable of proposing conjectures. Students in the medium category are able to fulfill 1 indicator well, namely the ability to make conjectures and are quite able to meet 3 indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely the ability to perform mathematical manipulations, compile evidence and give reasons for the correctness of solutions and draw conclusions. Students in the low category are still unable to fulfill all indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities except for the fifth indicator, students are not able to check the validity of arguments. Students with field independent and field dependent cognitive styles for the three categories have not been able to fulfill the fifth indicator, namely the ability to check the validity of arguments.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini pra eksperimen menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design yang melibatkan kelas eksperimen bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning pada siswa kelas VIII MTs An-Nashar Timor-Timur Makassar. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dengan total 25 orang Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes hasil belajar matematika siswa, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan angket respon siswa. Data penelitian ini adalah dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning pada siswa kelas VIII MTs An-Nashar Timor-Timur Makassar efektif diterapkan dengan uraian sebagai berikut: (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah diterapkan model Project Based Learning berada dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata gain ternomalisasi adalah 0,794, (2) Aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan model project based learning berada pada kategori aktif dengan rata-rata siswa aktif sebanyak 82,60%, dan (3) Respon siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning mencapai 83,80 % yaitu positif.

Abstract

Menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0 menjadikan perubahan cara hidup dan proses kerja manusia secara fundamental, dimana dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dapat mengintregrasikan dalam dunia kehidupan dengan digital yang dapat memberikan dampak di berbagai bidang kehidupan salah satunya dalam bidang Pendidikan. Menghadapi perubahan era industri tersebut, dunia pendidikan juga mendapatkan dampaknya. Tuntutan dalam dunia pendidikan berarti bagaimana strategi guru dan sekolah dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah, baik dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran sampai kepada bentuk evaluasi dan penilaian siswa. Terkhusus pada kegiatan penilaian, melihat kondisi di lapangan yakni di Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) Makassar, belum ada guru yang memanfaatkan assesmen digital untuk melakukan penilaian pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan karena belum adanya pelatihan ataupun workshop yang dilaksanakan dan diikuti oleh guru terkait hal tersebut. Padahal telah banyak aplikasi evaluasi digital yang dapat dimanfaatkan diantaranya adalah quizizz dan kahoot!. Olehnya itu tim PKM dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar akan melakukan workshop pengembangan digital-based learning evaluation dengan tujuan agar dapat memberikan keterampilanan bagi guru-guru di YKAKI Makassar untuk melakukan penilaian berbasis digital. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 3 minggu yang diawali dengan workshop dan selanjutnya tim melakukan follow up dalam bentuk praktek mengembangkan evaluasi pembelajaran pada masing-masing mata pelajaran oleh guru-guru yang telah terlibat dalam kegiatan workshop sebelumnya menggunakan aplikasi quizizz dan kahoot!.
