Abstract

PT Sansan Saudaratex Jaya adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri garmen. Salah satu unit produksi adalah Unit Premium, dimana unit produksi ini memiliki masalah target produksi yang tidak tercapai. Hal ini dikarenakan terjadinya ketidakseimbangan dalam lintasan produksi akibat tidak dipertimbangkannya performa aktual operator dan membagi lini produksi berdasarkan komponen garmen saja. Pemecahan masalah dilakukan dengan melakukan penyeimbangan lintasan prosuksi,dimana digunakan metode line balancing, yaitu Rank Positional Weight, Region Approach, dan Moodie Young (Pembebanan Berurut). Dalam upaya pencapaian target produksi dengan melakukan penyeimbangan lintasan produksi dibuat dua skenario, yaitu skenario 1 yang merupakan kelanjutan hasil penyeimbangan lintasan produksi dengan melakukan penambahan mesin dan operator pada penggabungan stasiun kerja yang sudah terbentuk (stasiun kerja paralel), dan skenario 2 yang merupakan penyeimbangan lintasan produksi dengan acuan pada besaran takt time pada saat penggabungan stasiun kerja. Hasil skenario 1 adalah kapasitas lini sebesar 1001 unit produk/hari dengan efisiensi lini sebesar 80,66% dan menggunakan 81 mesin. Hasil skenario 2 adalah kapasitas lini sebesar 1001 unit/hari dengan efisiensi lini sebesar 83,74% dan menggunakan 91 mesin.Kata Kunci: Penyeimbangan lintas produksi, target produksi, kapasitas lini.

Abstract

Ho Kie San Noodle Factory is one of the MSMEs in Patikraja District, Central Java that produces traditional noodles. Previously, the community service team had assisted this partner in increasing its production potential. However, there are still many improvements that can be made. The management conveyed the need for Kaizen (continuous improvement) material. Therefore, community service activities were carried out again in this factory. The method used is training. There were 9 participants who attended, representing the human resource department, finance department, general department, administration department, technical department, production department, inventory department and marketing department. The stages of the activities carried out were factory surveys and interviews with management, training implementation preparation, compiling training materials, filling preliminary questionnaires, training to representatives of each department within the company regarding the concept of continuous improvement and streamlined, and filling evaluation questionnaires. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the level of understanding of the participants increased after the training. Providing materials of Kaizen (continuous improvement) as well as production flow streamlining can help participants in streamlining the flow in each department and can also give motivation to continue making improvements in each department.

Abstract

PT Kahatex is a textile company that has implemented the Kaizen concept in its production process. However, in practice, partners still encounter obstacles, namely in terms of the participation of all employees in making changes and determining the right methods that are in line with the Kaizen philosophy in solving problems on the production floor. This community service activity in the form of training was carried out to provide understanding and direction to partners regarding real examples of the application of easy-to-do methods on the production floor in relation to continuous improvement. The community service activity was carried out from January 8 to 26, 2024, which consisted of the preparation and implementation stages of the training. The community service team consisted of 6 lecturers and 5 students, while the training participants consisted of 20 PT Kahatex employees. The result of this training activity was an increase in the percentage of participants who fully understand the Kaizen material and the benefits of its application as well as 5W1H and examples of its application, from initially between 15% - 25% to between 60% - 75%.
