Abstract

The background of this research is that in the learning process, teachers have not utilized learning materials optimally. Learning activities still use images found in textbooks, worksheets, and ordinary printed images as aids so that students feel bored in the learning process. The type of research used in this study is quantitative experimental research. Quantitative experimental research is research that aims to test the cause and effect relationship between variables. This research was conducted in class V SDN 3 Kepoh Kota Blora located at Karangtengah 11/7, Kepoh, Jati District, Blora City, Central Java. The results of the study show the results of a research questionnaire on 15 research subjects, obtained from questionnaire data based on 7 statement items. The results of the questionnaire show that as many as 15 students are classified as having very high learning outcomes with a percentage of 100%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the research subjects' learning motivation with the use of digital wordwall media is very high. The use of digital wordwall media can influence students' learning motivation. Based on the results of the hypothesis test calculations, the p-value is 0.000. These results indicate that the p-value <α (0.05), thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means there is a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the influence of the use of digital media Wordwall on the learning motivation of elementary school students.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas IV A SDN Sawah Besar 01 Semarang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan pendekatan TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) dalam pembelajaran matematika. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan deskripsi pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experiment desain one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A SDN Sawah Besar 01 Semarang Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 27 siswa dengan diberikan pretest sebelum perlakuan dan posttest setelah perlakukan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket tes tertulis dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji prasyarat analisis berupa uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian dengan uji paired sample t-test yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan TaRL terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV A SDN Sawah Besar 01 dengan nilai hasil yang di dapatkan sebesar 0,000, < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan. Hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata sebelum perlakukan sebesar 63,70 sedangkan sesudah perlakukan sebesar 80,00 , maka mengalami peningkatan sebesar 16,30. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pebelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan pendekatan TaRL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika kelas IV A SDN Sawah Besar 01 Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by multiplication number card media on students’ mathematical communication skills. The study was motivated by the low mathematical communication ability of third-grade students and the limited variation in the learning models applied in the classroom. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 24 students in the experimental class and 29 students in the control class. The research instrument was an essay test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis included the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the independent samples t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental and control classes. The experimental class obtained an average posttest score of 86.35, while the control class scored 73.88. The hypothesis test indicated a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, confirming a significant difference between the two classes. Analysis of each indicator revealed that although Drawing was the lowest-performing indicator, the experimental class still showed better improvement compared to the control class. The Written Text and Mathematical Expression indicators also showed consistent improvement. Therefore, it is concluded that the TGT learning model assisted by multiplication number card media has a significant effect on students’ mathematical communication skills.
