Abstract

Kegiatan kemah Bakti Masyarak (KBM) merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang dilakukan oleh HMPS PGSD Universitas Mataram. Tujuan kegiatan KBM ini adalah membantu masyarakat desa mitra dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan di desa mitra tersebut dengan cara mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter yang diperoleh oleh mahasiswa HMPS PGSD Universitas Mataram di dalam perkuliahan. Kegiatan KBM dilakukan di dusun Batu Pasir. Kegiatan KBM berlangsung selama seminggu. metode yang dilakukan mahasiswa sebelum melakukan KBM adalah survey lokasi, wawancara dengan perangkat masyarakat dan diakhiri dengan meminta ijin kepada perangkat masyarakat untuk melakukan KBM. Adapun permasalahan yang terdapat di desa mitra ini adalah kurangnya guru membaca Al-Quran, pembangunan mushola dusun, serta perbaikan fasilitas MCK. Program KBM dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi Bersama mahasiswa HMPS dan dibantu oleh unsur masyarakat. Kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar dan berhasil. Hal ini diperoleh dengan melalui hasil wawancara dengan perangkat dusun serta masyarakat sekitar yang merasa terbantu dengan adanya kegiatan KBM yang dilaksanakan di dusun Batu Pasir.

Abstract

The research aims to identify students difficulties in making research instruments and analyzing the factors of the students difficulties in making research instruments. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted on 41 students of elementary school teacher Education (PGSD) semester seven year 2019/2020 Faculty of Training and Education science of Mataram University. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed, the biggest difficulties experienced by students when arranging instrument items and testing and analyzing the validity and reliability of the instruments to be worth using. As much as 40% of research instruments compiled by PGSD students deserve to be used, 40% of instruments still require revision, and 20% of unworthy instruments in meaning need to be proven validity and reliability. The factors that led to students of PGSD Mataram University have difficulty in making research instruments, among others: the lack of interest in reading thus experiencing confusion in distinguishing the conceptual definition and operational definition, the unknowing to ask if there are things that are less understandable, the lack of understanding the substance in each process they do so that there is often a discrepancy between the processes that one with the other, the students are less thorough, and they have their own views on the research.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the use of mobile phones in SMAN 1 Pangalengan. The survey was conducted on 100 students. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed students tend to utilize social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Other uses for browsing, gaming, and entrepreneurship. Survey results show that 92% of students use WhatsApp to communicate and 82% of students use mobile phones to access social media. This shows the pattern of mobile phone use has shifted among students although basically, it does not change the main function.

Abstract

Penerapan Pendidikan karakter merupakan sebuah jalan untuk membangun pendidikan yang lebih bermoral. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis keteladanan guru dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter disekolah. Artikel ini merupakan hasil analisis dengan mengkaji literatur yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan topik pembahasan. Model yang digunakan adalah studi literatur atau lirature riview. Dari hasil penelaahan, hasil yang didapat menunjukkah bahwa penerapan pendidikan karakter disekolah merupakan tanggung jawab semua warga sekolah, tetapi guru memegang peranan penting dalam pencapaian program tersebut sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa keberhasilan pendidikan karakter disekolah bergantung dari sejauh mana guru tersebut bisa menjadi teladan siswa-siswinya sehingga untuk mewujudkan siswa yang berkarakter diperlukan guru yang berkarakter pula.

Abstract

Cases of violence against children are still common in school environments, even the perpetrators themselves are school residents. Cases of violence include emotional violence, verbal violence, physical violence, and sexual violence. Child-Friendly Schools are set up in an effort to reduce cases of child abuse and as a form of state, a responsibility to fulfill the rights of children as mandated in law no. 35 of 2014. In an effort to realize the Child-Friendly School on an ongoing and better basis, the community service team socialized the strategy and policy of child-friendly schools for PGSD students of Mataram University. PGSD students are chosen because they are prospective teachers who will definitely jump into the school. The socialization was held on 12 August 2020 through the Zoom Meeting.Socialization participants are given information related to six indicators to measure the achievement of SRA, namely: (1) SRA policy, (2) curriculum implementation, (3) education and education personnel trained in children's rights, (4) facilities and infrastructure of SRA, (5) child participation and (6) participation of parents, community institutions, business world, stakeholders and alumni. The outside target or achievement of this socialization activity is improvement the understanding of students regarding child-friendly school policies and strategies.Keywords: socialization; violence; sra policy

Abstract

Abad 21 sarat dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi. Perkembangan berjalan semakin semakin pesat. Tujuan dari studi literatur ini adalah untuk menyelidiki tentang 1) Apakah pembelajaran IPS di SD masih relevan dengan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan pada abad 21, 2) Keterampilan apa saja yang didapatkan dari mempelajari IPS di SD, 3) Bagaimana seharusnya mempelajari IPS agar keterampilan abad 21 dapat dikuasai. Kajian ini menganalisis artikel yang berkaitan dengan pembelajaran IPS maupun keterampilan abad 21. Artikel yang dianalisis berupa artikel hasil penelitian empiris maupun hasil kajian konseptual. Analisis konsep dilakukan dengan melakukan sintesis dari beberapa artikel tersebut untuk menemukan relevansi pendidikan dengan keterampilan abad 21. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPS masih relevan dengan pengembangan keterampilan abad 21. Keterampilan yang didapatkan melalui pembelajaran IPS diantaranya kemampuan bersosialisasi, kemampuan berkolaborasi, kemampuan networking, dan kemampuan berkomunikasi. Tuntutan keterampilan abad 21 yang mengharuskan setiap orang untuk memiliki keterampilan sosial dapat dipelajari melalui pembelajaran IPS. Agar keterampilan abad 21 dapat termuat dalam pembelajaran IPS secara untuk maka perlu dilakukan inovasi model pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dalam menanggulangi siswa yang lemah baca sebagai bagian dari Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS). Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa di SD K Maranatha Kedungadem Bojonegoro. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara terbuka, wawancara tertutup dan dokumentasi. Pengecekan keabsahan temuan dengan cara triangulasi sumber. Data disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi dan diagram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat siswa yang lemah baca serta minat bacanya juga rendah. Upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa adalah dengan cara mengadakan program B3 (Bacaan Buku Berjenjang) serta menambah jumlah durasi bimbingan membaca khusus untuk siswa kelas tinggi yang lemah baca. Program B3 dinyatakan berhasil dengan indikator semakin meningkatnya kemampuan membaca siswa baik kelas tinggi maupun kelas rendah. Kendala yang dihadapi pelaksanaan program B3 adalah rendahnya minat baca siswa serta terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki oleh sekolah.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the patriarchal culture and women's access to education. The method used in this research is literature study from various sources such as books, journals, reports and data from the Central Statistics Agency. The results of this study are that patriarchal culture is inherent in a society that considers that the primary education should be boys. This causes women's access to education to be hampered due to cultural problems that exist in the community. This situation can be seen based on data on the percentage of literacy for women totaling 83.42 while men 91.86. This data is also supported by the data of the Human Development Index for men reaching 75.43 while the Human Development Index for women is 68.63. This data shows the level of education of women, especially in higher education is low. This reality certainly contradicts the goal of national education which does not differentiate access to education based on gender, all of whom are entitled to education.

Abstract

Gender equality is a necessity that has not been maximized. Although it continues to be campaigned, however, many women are still found. This study aims to analyze the problems of female farm workers in Pangalengan Bandung and the factors that cause it. Assessed by descriptive method using interview and observation techniques. The result of the research shows that the problems which are often problems are economic problems, welfare problems, work comfort problems, and national problems. The basic forms of women include: gender in wage patterns between men and women, gender workload between men and women, and the view that women are weaker than men. Meanwhile, the main national cause is the strong patriarchal culture which is not aware that it is still attached to society. This research also finds a concept that the welfare level of female farm workers is not the same. This depends on their daily income. Some include prosperous agricultural laborers, almost prosperous farm workers, and less prosperous farm workers. These findings provide a different view from previous studies which state that agricultural labor is closely related to poverty.

Abstract

Literacy is not only the responsibility of formal education institutions. One form of education in the community is a community library. This study aimed to describe the roles and challenges faced by community library forums in enhancing literacy culture. The subject of this study was a community reading garden as part of a community library forum. Data were collected in Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. This study applied a qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through surveys, observation, and in-depth interviews, and the data were presented in the form of tables, diagrams, and descriptive narratives. The researchers extended observation time to ensure the validity of the findings. The main problems explored in this study included: What challenges do community library forums face? What is the role of the community library forum in enhancing the literacy culture of children in Lombok Tengah? The results revealed that the challenges faced by community library forums included issues of regeneration, inadequate facilities, limited book collections, low literacy culture, and non-optimal support from the government. The role of libraries in enhancing literacy culture included serving as facilitators, motivators, creators, and pioneers of the literacy movement in rural areas. The presence of the community library made children feel more enthusiastic about reading.
