Abstract

The media's role greatly affects the success of the teaching and learning process, which is no exception to writing. One of the stages in writing lessons is to compose a simple sentence. This research aims to determine the influence of the use of image media in the ability to write simple sentences of class IV students at SDN Repok Puyung Tengah Lombok. The main problem in this study is the low ability of students to write simple sentences. This research was designed in the form of experimental research using one group pretest-posttest design approach. Data collection is conducted with test and observation. Research Instrument in the form of writing ability test and observation guideline. Data on research results were analyzed by statistic inferential analysis techniques. The hypothesis was tested with a two-on-average test technique of Paired Sample T-Test. The average pretest value is 65.65 whereas the average value of Postest = 77.05. Based on the hypothesis test results, Sig. = 0.000 < α = 0.05. Based on the results it can be concluded that the use of the serial image media has enough effect on the ability to write simple sentences of students at SDN Repok Puyung. Key words: image media, writing sentences, elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the exploration of ethnomathematics of Sasak culture that can be used as a source of learning mathematics. This type of research is exploratory qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. This research focuses on buildings, crafts, arts, and traditional snacks. The research instrument is the researcher himself. While the method of data collection by interview, field studies, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with triangulation are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that Sasak cultural products can be used as a source of learning mathematics, especially on the elements of geometry including rectangles, triangles, trapezoid, circles, rhombus, laying-kites, cones, cylinders, and pyramid. Learning resources derived from Sasak culture, if properly utilized, will create meaningful mathematics learning for students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dengan konsep budaya lokal atau yang disebut dengan etnomatematika merupakan suatu strategi untuk mengajarkan siswa sekolah dasar dalam belajar matematika yang selama ini dianggap menakutkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan konsep-konsep geometri yang terkandung dalam kerajinan tradisional masyarakat Sasak. Dalam penelitian ini, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu dengan metode studi lapangan yang diberbantukan oleh dua dosen PGSD, eksplorasi, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri yang berperan sebagai instrumen utama. Hasil penelitian ini berupa konsep-konsep matematika khususnya konsep geometri yaitu pada motif kerajina tradisional tenun sesekan Sasak mengandung unsur bangun datar berupa persegi, persegi panjang, layang-layang, jajargenjang, segitiga, belah ketupat, konsep sudut, dan konsep kesebangunan. Kemudian pada kerajinan tradisional nyiru mengandung konsep bangun datar berupa lingkaran, dan elips. Selanjutnya pada kerajinan besek dan tembolaq mengandung konsep geometri berupa bangun ruang yaitu balok, kubus, dan setengah bola. Konsep-konsep geometri yang terdapat pada kerajinan tradisional masyarakat Sasak dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran matematika sekola dasar dan dapat memupuk rasa cinta siswa terhadap budaya mereka sendiri.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the web-based Flipped Classroom model in terms of understanding the mathematical concepts of PGSD students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted on 2nd-semester PGSD students taking Mathematics Education courses. The population of this study was all 2nd-semester PGSD students and the sample of this study was taken randomly as many as 32 students. This research instrument uses a test for understanding mathematical concepts on geometry material with a total of 10 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis techniques in this study are the normality test as a prerequisite test, the Wilcoxon test to determine the difference between the average pretest and posttest, and the effect size test (Cohen's d) to conclude that the web-based flipped classroom model is effective or not on understanding mathematical concepts. The results of this study indicate that the normality test on the pretest data obtained data with a normal distribution, but on the posttest data the data was not normally distributed, so the Wilcoxon nonparametric test was used. Wilcoxon test results show the results of sig. <0.005, which means that there is a significant average difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. Then from the results of the Effect Size test, the results of 1.55 are included in the very large category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris penalaran analogi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berdasarkan gaya berpikir. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 mahasiswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah angket gaya berpikir, soal tes penalaran analogi matematika dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Kemampuan penalaran analogi mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori rendah sebesar 28%, kategori sedang sebesar 56%, dan pada kategori tinggi sebesar 16%. Mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan penalaran analogi tinggi sudah mampu menyelesaikan keempat tahapan penalaran analogi hingga Applying (Apl), mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan sedang hanya mampu sampai ke tahap ketiga yaitu Mapping (Map), sedangkan mahasiswa dengan kemampuan rendah hanya mampu sampai ke tahap Inferring (Inf); 2) Dilihat dari pola gaya berpikir mahasiswa didapatkan hasil pola gaya berpikir Sekuensial Konkret (SK) sebesar 34%, pola gaya berpikir Sekuensial Abstrak (SA) sebesar 28%, Acak Konkret (AA) sebesar 34%, dan Acak Konkret (AK) sebesar 3%. Kemampuan tinggi rendahnya penalaran analogi tidak dipengaruhi oleh pola gaya berpikir tertentu, sehingga tidak ada kecenderungan suatu gaya berpikir yang lebih tinggi dalam hasil penalaran analoginya.

Abstract

Inclusive education basically aims to facilitate the educational needs of children who experience physical, intellectual, social emotional disorders, learning difficulties, slow learning, motor disorders, and others. One of the schools that hold inclusive education in Central Lombok is Gunung Gatep Public Elementary School since 2012. The purpose of this study is to find out how class teachers' perceptions of students with functional difficulties in Gunung Gatep Public Elementary School. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study, where researchers explain, analyze the facts found in the field. The subjects of this study were Gunung Gatep Elementary School teachers namely class 1, 2 and 3 teachers. Data collection techniques used by researchers were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that teachers' perceptions of students who have functional difficulties are students with special characteristics that are different from students in general, students who have functional difficulties are students who need the same and appropriate Education services as other normal students. The class teacher's view of students with functional difficulties must be understood by those around them who not only see from their shortcomings but also from talent that must be cultivated with support and motivation from those around students who experience functional difficulties. Then from the results of the interview, the class teacher has increased knowledge about students with functional difficulties by attending workshops and training including: (1) training in the making of integrated lesson plans that include inclusive education in which the lesson plans have indicators, objectives, and learning steps for students with functional difficulties; (2) training in making and using media for children with functional difficulties, (3) training in learning methods and classroom settings so that students with functional difficulties can interact with other normal students

Abstract

Children with special needs are someone who is experiencing growth problems and developmental obstacles which in the education service must be provided by the government without exception. Inclusive education is the provision of education that provides opportunities for all students who have the potential intelligence and / or special talents to participate in learning in one environment together with students in general. This study provides an overview of the profile and characteristics of students with special needs in the SD N 20 Mataram designated as research providers using a qualitative approach. Data collection methods by interview, observation and documentation were analyzed to answer the questions of this study. The results of this study are that there are several types of students with special needs including down syndrome, autism, ADHD (hyperactivity), dyslexia, slow learning, learning difficulties, mental retardation, deafness spread across grades 1 through 6. Learning for students with special needs is carried out together with other students with some modifications, adjusting the abilities of each student with special needs.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Hands on Activity terhadap kemampuan komunikasi tertulis siswa kelas V SDN 34 Cakranegara pada materi pecahan.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dan desain ini adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD 34 Cakranegara. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kesuluruhan populasi yang dipilih secara purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 49, 36 dan nilai posttest diperoleh rata-rata nilai 65, 62. Hasil Uji t diperoleh  (dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan df 23) yaitu 3,872 > 2,056 maka  ditolak, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Hands on Activity  terhadap kemampuan komunikasi tertulis siswa pada materi pecahan di kelas V SDN 34 Cakranegara.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Moodle-based e-learning which is used as a learning medium in terms of student understanding. This type of research is quantitative quasi-experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The population of this study was 2nd-semester students. The sample of this research was 36 students who were taken based on cluster random sampling technique. This research instrument uses math test questions that can be accessed through e-learning. The data analysis techniques were normality test as a prerequisite test, test for the difference in average pretest and posttest, test for the increase in the pretest and posttest results (N-Gain), and finally the effect size test. The results showed that the pretest data were not normally distributed, while the posttest data were normally distributed so that nonparametric statistical tests were carried out. The nonparametric statistical test used is the Wilcoxon test where the results show a sig score. (0.00) <0.05, which means that there is a difference between the average pretest and posttest scores. Furthermore, the n-gain test was carried out with a score of 0.53 which was in the medium category. This means that the pretest and posttest scores have a moderate level of improvement. And the last test results with the effect size test with a score of d = 1.47 which is in the strong effect category. This means that Moodle-based e-learning has a strong effect on students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The use of the lecture method causes low participation, student progress, student attention, and interest cannot be monitored. The inactivity of students during the learning process is one of the factors that can cause students to difficult to understand the concept of material. If this happens it can result in less than optimal learning outcomes obtained. The type of research used is True-experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest control group Design type. The independent variable in this study is the PQ4R model with a scientific approach. While the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The population in this study were students of class VIII. The sample of this research is a class of 25 students. Determination of the sample using a cluster type random sampling technique. Data collection instruments include lesson plans, observation sheets of student activities, observation widths of teacher activities, pre-test, and post-test learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used an independent sample t-test which was previously tested by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method with the help of SPSS for windows version 17.0. The results showed: (1) The teacher can carry out PBM activities well and in accordance with the learning plan in accordance with the syntax. (2) Student activities are in accordance with what is expected from the frequency of the many activities that illustrate PBM with the PQ4R strategy with a scientific approach. This shows that the PQ4R strategy can affect student learning outcomes
