Abstract

The importance of students' interest in learning is learning skills, so research is carried out to assess students' interests and skills in depth based on grade level and gender in a school so that interests and skills can be known in depth based on the indicators tested. There has been no research that examines student interest and science process skills in detail based on grade level and generation in a school. So the autor make this study with purpose to analyze how the interest and science process skills between women and men compare in science subjects and to analyze how the relationship between students' interests and science process skills with science subjects. This study uses a quantitative method with a comparative type. Quantitative research is a field of inquiry that stands alone, is scientific in nature and aims to understand social reality. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire and an observation sheet, namely a student interest questionnaire and an observation sheet for science process skills. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, research testing and data analysis, the conclusion of this study is from the T-test there are differences in the interests of female students and male students in class VII A and VII B. From the results of the T test for students' science process skills there are differences in the interests of female students and male students in grades VII A and VII B. Based on the results of the correlation test between interests and science process skills of grade VII A students there is a relationship between interests and science process skills between female and male students as well as in class VII B. Students' interest and science process skills have a significant influence on curiosity, learning materials and teacher attitudes, student observation and communication.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitudes of students in physics learning at the State High School in Batanghari Regency. The type of research used is quantitative which uses a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. This study involved 926 students of the Batanghari State High School. The data used by researchers in the form of a questionnaire/questionnaire consisting of 54 item statements using a Likert scale 5. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of this study the researchers get the results of Good and Good Enough with the following details: The Social Implications of Physics have a Good result, amounting to 51.3%. Attitudes in Physics Investigation have a sufficient result of 44.3%, Enjoyment Learning Physics has Enough results of 55.5%, Career Interest in Physics has Enough result of 45%. This is due to the attitude that is sufficient on the indicator. The adequate attitude of students is a balanced attitude in learning Physics Subjects because subjects are difficult to understand.

Abstract

Sikap merupakan bentuk persepsi seseorang terhadap suatu objek yang di gambarkan dengan ekspresi suka ataupun tidak. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara sikap dan percaya diri siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMPN 2 Muaro Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional, sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 134 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah sikap yang dimiliki siswa sekolah menengah peretama memiliki kategori baik, yang dapat kita lihat dari indikator kesenangan dlam belajar sains, jika siswa memiliki rasa senang didalam pelajaran, maka dia akan memiliki keingin untuk memperanyak waktu belajarnya dalam pelajaran tersebut, hal ini diperkuat dengan hasil korelasi yang telah didapatkan yaitu sebesar 0.694 dan memiliki hubungan yang positif. Maka dari itu penting bagi para guru dan sekolah untuk menanamkan pembelajaran sikap dan meninmbulkan rasa percaya diri kepada siswanya.

Abstract

Sikap sangat penting pada pembelajaran abad 21 sekarang, oleh karena itu, penelitini memeiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubunga amotivasi dan sikap siswa pada pelajaran fisika di sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional, sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 97 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah sikap yang dimiliki siswa sekolah menengah atas memiliki kategori baik, yang dapat kita lihat dari indikator adopsi dari sikap ilmiah, dimana, jika siswa memiliki sikap dalam ilmiah, maka dia kan menyenangi pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan ilmiah, salah satu contohnya adalah fisika, dan motivasi yang dimiliki oleh siswa tersebut juga dikategori baik, hal ini diperkut dengan hasil korelasi yang telah didapatkan yaitu sebesar 0.624 dan memiliki hubungan yang positif. Maka dari itu penting bagi para guru dan sekolah untuk menanamkan pembelajaran sikap kepada siswanya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of students' attitudes and self-efficacy based on gender, and to determine the relationship between students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards science subjects. This research uses quantitative research with survey method. The sample in this study was 74 students from SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi in Muaro Jambi district. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. There are two instruments in this study, namely attitudes towards science and self-efficacy. The results of the T-test of student attitudes towards science subjects obtained were sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, so there were differences in student attitudes towards science subjects, both female and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. The results of the T-test of students' self-efficacy on science subjects obtained a value of sig.(2-tailed) < 0.05, so there are differences in student self-efficacy on science subjects, both female students and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. While the results of the correlation test between attitudes and students' self-efficacy towards science subjects class VIII A and VIII B showed a value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, then there was a relationship between students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards subjects’ science lessons, both female students and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the material’s content in thematic textbook curriculum 2013 class V theme 7 events in life in subtheme 1 event of the colonial mass nationality that contains indicators of character value in it. This research uses a qualitative approach. The type of research used is a content analysis using document studies. The subject in this study is the researcher himself. The objects used in this study are student books and curriculum teacher books 2013 revised edition 2017 grade V theme 7 events in life. The data obtained will be analyzed descriptively qualitatively with the content analysis method. The results of  analysis of this study showed that the character values encountered in the integrated thematic textbook curriculum 2013 class V theme 7 subtheme 1 national events of the colonial period are fond of reading, hard work, curiosity, creativit, love of the homeland, independent, honest, democratic, tolerance, responsibility, discipline, national spirit, and friendly/ communicative. The analysis of the contents of the integrated thematic book material curriculum 2013 is expected educators can be more competitive and have innovations in designing learning that is able to implement character values in every learning activity for students.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the differences in science process skills and student interest in science subjects regarding environmental pollution with project based learning and problem solving models for students in grades 7A and 7 B at SMPN 8 Muaro Jambi. This research is a survey research, this study uses quantitative data analysis with the help of SPSS statistics 25, to find descriptive statistics , test assumptions and test hypotheses . The results obtained from this study with a sample of 70 students from SMPN 8 Batanghari in Batanghari district. The subjects taken were grades 7A and 7 B which consisted of 40 women and 30 men. Based on the T-test of science process skills and students' interest in the science subject matter of environmental pollution with the project based learning model and problem solving for students in grades 7A and 7 B, it was concluded that there were differences in science process skills and students' interest in science subjects with the model project based learning and Problem Solving students in grades 7A and 7 B.

Abstract

Students' attitudes and self-efficacy are very important in science subjects. With a good attitude and self-efficacy, learning will be easier and more enjoyable. This study aims to examine the attitudes and self-efficacy of female and male students from two classes, namely VII A and VII B in junior high school. This research is a type of quantitative survey research. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling with the research subjects as many as 74 junior high school students studying science. The instrument used in data collection was 28 questions containing 5 choices that must be filled out by students. Analysis of the data used in this study in the form of descriptive analysis and T test and correlation test to determine whether there is a comparison and relationship between students' attitudes and efficacy towards science. The results obtained indicate that there are significant differences and relationships between attitudes and self-efficacy of female and male students. These results indicate that male students have an average attitude and good self-efficacy compared to female students at the junior high school level

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the assessment of students’ attitude of science subjects in several indicators. This type of research is quantitative research with inferential statistical data. This study involved two different schools, namely SMP 17 Batanghari Regency with a sample obtained by 140 students and SMP 3 Muaro Jambi with a sample of 145 students. The students’ attitudes were noticed in several indicators, namely the social implications of science, the adoption of science attitudes and the enjoyment of learning science. As the result, from the three indicators, the attitude of the SMP 3 Muaro Jambi students were dominantly in good category, whereas those of the students in Batanghari District were dominantly in quite good category. In conclusion, there were  differences between the two school students’ attitude toward natural science which was reinforced by the results of t tests that have been done.

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to identify and analyze the content of character values contained in the 2013 curriculum textbook 2013 revised edition 2017, especially on theme VII sub theme 2 class V elementary school. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a type of document study. This research is a content analysis research conducted in six stages, namely unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring, and narrating. The source of data in this study is the 2013 curriculum textbook revised edition 2017 grade V elementary school. The results in this study show that in the 2013 revised edition of the 2013 curriculum textbook, class V elementary schools, especially in Theme VII sub theme 2 in each learning activity contains a content of character values that must be developed and instilled in students through a series of activities in learning and the content of character values developed in each learning tends to be different but there are still some character value content that must be developed and instilled in students the same between each learning and the development of the learner's character value content refers to eighteen character value charges but there are also some character value charges developed not based on it.
