Abstract

Abstrak Produk agroindustri komoditi kopi memiliki prospek untuk dikembangkan di pasar domestik dan internasional. Namun, untuk pengembangkan sektor tersebut masih mengalami berbagai masalah mulai dari ketersediaan bahan baku hingga saat produk dipasarkan. Pasokan bahan baku kopi harus didukung oleh produksi kopi. Pemilihan dan kombinasi penggunaan faktor produksi secara optimal dan efisien menentukan jumlah produksi kopi. Namun, saat ini masih ada petani kopi yang belum mengoptimalkan penggunaan faktor produksi. Kabupaten Solok sebagai salah satu daerah penghasil kopi Arabika di Sumatera Barat dan Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti adalah penghasil kopi utama di daerah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis faktor yang memengaruhi produksi kopi Arabika dengan metode survei pada 30 petani kopi yang dipilih secara acak sederhana. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian yakni jumlah produksi, produktifitas, penggunaan pupuk urea, modal, pengalaman berusaha tani dan tenaga kerja. Penelitian menggunakan data primer dan sekunder yang kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan model fungsi Cobb Douglass. Hasil analisis menyatakan variabel produktifitas, modal dan tenaga kerja dengan nilai koefisien masing-masing 0,981; 2,279 dan 3,140 berpengaruh terhadap produksi kopi. Variabel umur tanaman dan penggunaan pupuk urea  dengan koefisien 0,098 dan 0,131 berpengaruh positif sedangkan pengalaman berusaha tani dengan koefisien -0,290 berpengaruh negatif tapi variabel tersebut tidak signifikan.Kata kunci: agroindustri, kopi, faktor produksi Abstract Agroindustry product that has the potential to be developed in the domestic and international market is the coffee commodity. This commodity has various problems such as the availability of raw materials, product marketing, and other issues. The supply of coffee raw materials must be supported by coffee production. With selecting and combining production factors optimally can determine coffee production. However, in reality, coffee farmers still cannot optimize the use of production factors. Lembah Gumanti district at Solok regency is one of the Arabica coffee producers in West Sumatra. This study aims to determine the factors that affect Arabica coffee production. The method used is a survey method with a sample of 30 coffee farmers selected by simple random sampling. Variables used in this study is total production, land area, the use of urea fertilizer, capital, farmer experience, and labor. The data collected are primary and secondary data which then analyzed quantitatively by using Cobb Douglass function model. The analisys showed that productivity, capital and labor variables have a significant effect on coffee production with coefficients of 0.981; 2.279 and 3.140. Plant age variables and the use of urea fertilizer have a positive impact with a coefficient value of 0.098 and 0.131 while the farmer experience variable has a coefficient of -0.290 and not have a significant impact on coffee production.Keywords: agroindustry, coffee, production factor

Abstract

Kopi adalah komoditas yang permintaannya terus dilirik pasar. Kondisi ini seiring dengan meningkatnya konsumsi masyarakat kopi di dunia termasuk Indonesia. Permintaan yang terus meningkat tersebut, perlu didukung oleh ketersediaan produk untuk memenuhi pasar. Sumatera Barat adalah daerah penghasil kopi yang terus melakukan pengembangan untuk meningkatkan produksi kopi. Kopi menjadi komoditi perkebunan yang berkontribusi terhadap perekonomian Sumatera Barat. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan kopi Sumatera Barat dan menganalisis tantangan agribisnis yang dihadapi untuk pengembangan komoditi tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan desk study dengan deskriptif kualitatif data sekunder dan kajian literature review penelitian terdahulu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan selama kurun waktu 15 tahun (2005-2019) perkembangan produktivitas kopi di Sumatera Barat belum menunjukkan adanya peningkatan. Tantangan pengembangan agribisnis kopi terkait dengan semua aspek subsistem pada agribisnis dari hulu hingga hilir (mulai dari input produksi, aspek petani dalam kegiatan produksi dan pengolahan, pemasaran serta lembaga penunjang dan kebijakan). Untuk bisa menjadikan kopi sebagai komoditas unggulan di Sumatera Barat, maka perlu sinkronisasi dan peran pemerintah dalam membuat kebijakan berkelanjutan dalam konsep agribisnis.

JLSO 6(1):1-6.Succes of business development determined by the entrepreneur ability to develop ideas and search for business opportunities. Creativity in developing ideas is one of the most quality an entrepreneur should have in order to achieve business success. Entrepeneur can be achieve the quality if the have a clear orientation toward product and market. The purpose of this study is to detemermine the effect of entrepreneurship orientation on product performance of coffee agroindustry in Bukit tinggi. Sample for this study was token randomly as much as 30 coffee agroindustry in city of Bukit tinggi. The data were analized using regression analysis with independent variables of entrepreneurship orientation while the dependent variable was product performance. The result shows that variables include entrepreneurship orientation : goal, product creation, innovation and risk simultaneously affect the product performance. However, partially only innovation ability affect the product performance.

Abstract

Kondisi pandemi Covid-19 berdampak terhadap perilaku konsumen penggemar kopi, terutama konsumen yang  melakukan pembelian di coffee shop. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi motivasi konsumen dalam membeli kopi dan mengidentifikasi proses pengambilan keputusan konsumen dalam membeli kopi pada  coffee shop di Kota Padang selama masa pandemi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei terhadap 100 konsumen kopi di 10 coffee shop (Coffee Shop Janji Jiwa, Kopi Rasa, Kopi dari Hati, Kupi Batigo, Rimbun Espresso & Brew Bar, Kubik Koffie, Bacarito Kopi, Dua Pintu Coffee, Lalito Coffe Bar, V Coffee) di Kota Padang. Variabel  yang digunakan adalah motivasi membeli serta tahapan proses pengambilan keputusan ( pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, proses pembelian dan pasca pembelian).  Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dari hasil tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi konsumen untuk membeli karena suasana yang nyaman, menghilangkan kejenuhan dan rasa kopi dengan jenis kopi yang banyak dibeli yakni espresso based jenis latte (47%) dan manual brew jenis cold brew (29%). Dalam proses pengambilan keputusan pembelian pada tahap pengenalan kebutuhan,manfaat yang dominan dicari konsumen adalah rasa enak (60%). Pada tahap pencarian informasi, pembelian kopi hampir sebagian besar berdasarkan info dari teman (63%) dan adanya pengaruh media sosial (67%). Tahap evaluasi  alternatif, konsumen memilih pertimbangan kenyamanan tempat (53%). Pada tahap proses pembelian, konsumen memilih rasa produk yang enak, tempat yang nyaman dengan memperhatikan protocol kesehatan. Tahap pasca pembelian sebagian besar merasa puas terhadap kopi yang dibeli dan 92% responden akan membeli lagi.Kata kunci : perilaku konsumen, coffee shop, motivasi

Abstract

Simawang village has been experiencing a drought since the 2000s due to the uncertainty of the seasonal pattern. All paddy fields in the village depend on rain for irrigation. Consequently, the activities of paddy farming were also disrupted. Some farmers leave their rice fields unplanted, and there is approximately 60 ha of rice fields in Simawang village have turned into abandoned land. In 2014 the farmers started to plant citronella grass on that abandoned land, and in 2017 they already had a citronella oil distiller. This paper discusses the financial feasibility of citronella grass farming and processing and analyzes the farmers' response to those activities. The research found that citronella grass farming and processing in Simawang village is feasible to be implemented. It can be seen from the NPV, IRR, and B/C ratio values of Rp. 218.438.869, 33,2% and 2,1 respectively. Moreover, the farming and processing payback period is two years and 11 months. The cognitive and affective responses of the farmers to farming and processing are good; meanwhile, the conative response is poor. Despite the farmers having good knowledge about farming and processing citronella grass and agreeing that those activities could benefit them both economically and environmentally, most of them have not yet practiced the activities due to land ownership issues.

Abstract

Kopi Arabika merupakan komoditi perkebunan yang memiliki kontribusi terhadap pembangunan agroindustri. Kabupaten Solok sebagai salah satu daerah penghasil kopi arabika di Sumatera Barat dengan produksi pada tahun 2016 sebesar 2.466,8 ton. Fluktuasi produksi kopi arabika di Lembah Gumanti  mengidentifikasikan terjadinya risiko, yang disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui tingkat risiko produksi kopi arabika  dan 2) mengidentifikasi sumber risiko produksi kopi arabika. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan sampel sebanyak 30 petani kopi arabika dipilih secara acak sederhana di Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan data sekunder yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data produksi yang dianalisis adalah data produksi kopi Arabika selama tahun 2017.  Risiko produksi diukur dengan nilai varian, standar deviasi dan koefisien variasi. Tujuan pertama, Hasil perhitungan nilai Coefisien Variasi sebesar 0,002, menunjukkan rendahnya nilai risiko produksi, dikarenakan petani kopi di Lembah Gumanti sudah memanajemen risiko produksinya karena sudah bergabung menjadi anggota Koperasi Solok Radjo. Tujuan kedua, yaitu sumber risiko produksi kopi arabika berasal dari yaitu cuaca, tenaga kerja dan hama, penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan turunnya produksi kopi arabika.Kata kunci: kopi arabika, risiko, produksi, Koperasi, Solok RadjoArabica coffee is a plantation commodity that contributes to the agroindustry development. In West Sumatra, Solok Regency is one of producer of arabica coffee with production of 2,466.8 tons in 2016. Occurrence of risk that caused by internal and external factor resulting fluctuations in production of arabica coffe. This research aims to 1) determine the level of risk and 2) identify sources of risk production of arabica coffee plantations. The data which is a primary and a secondary data collected by using survey methods with simple random sampling of 30 Arabica Coffee farmers in Lembah Gumanti district. 2017 Arabica production data is used for this analysis with qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis by measuring coffee production risk with variant value, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. The result from calculation of Coefficient Variation is 0.002, which mean a low risk level. Coffee farmers have been managing their production risks by joining the Solok Radjo cooperative. Abstract

The mangosteen commodity has become a leading product of West Sumatra Province due to its large export market share, which requires farmers to maintain the quantity and quality of the mangosteen they produce. Mangosteen has a high economic value, but its cultivation is still traditional, and the quality produced is not entirely in line with the expectations of the export destination countries. Since 2021, the Mayor of Padang has designated the Pauh District as a thematic mangosteen village, but fluctuations in mangosteen production indicate risks. This research analyzes the relationship between farmer characteristics and their attitude toward mangosteen production risks. The research method involves a survey and the sampling of 40 farmers using purposive sampling. Data was collected from June to July 2023. The level of risk is analyzed using the coefficient of variation method, while farmer risk behavior is assessed using the Moscardi and de Janvry method. Factors influencing farmers are analyzed using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression. The research results indicate a production risk for mangosteen with a coefficient of variation value of 0.47 (47%). Most farmers, 38 out of 40 (98%), exhibit a risk-averse behavior, while two farmers (2%) have a neutral risk attitude. The characteristics of farmers that significantly influence their risk behavior are age, farming experience, and farming income.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko produksi usahatani padi. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling terhadap 43 petani dengan metode sampel proporsionate sampling. Data di analisis menggunakan diagram tulang ikan (fishbone diagram). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 14 risiko yang teridentifikasi. Risiko yang telah teridentifikasi tersebut dikelompokan menjadi empat kelompok. Kelompok pertama, sumberdaya manusia disebabkan oleh petani tidak membersihkan gulma sehingga banyak muncul  gulma  dan terlambat penanaman bibit padi. Kelompok kedua, hama dan penyakit disebabkan oleh burung pipit, babi, keong mas, sapi, wereng, walang sangit dan kepinding. Kelompok ketiga, sarana dan prasarana disebabkan oleh saluran irigasi rusak serta ketersediaan air tidak tercukupi. Selanjutnya, kelompok keempat bencana alam disebakan oleh banjir, longsor dan kekeringan. Untuk menghadapi risiko tersebut petani menggunakan dua strategi terdiri dari strategi preventif dan strategi mitigasi. Strategi preventif yang telah dilakukan petani adalah pemasangan tali perak sebagai pengusir hama burung pipit dan melakukan sanitasi lahan serta strategi preventif yang disarankan yaitu pemanfaatan tanaman marigold sebagai tanaman refugia dan melakukan perbaikan saluran irigasi. Pada strategi mitigasi petani melakukan pemakaian pestisida kimia serta strategi yang disarankan diversifikasi tanaman dan mengikuti asuransi pertanian.

Abstract

Oyster mushroom cultivation business can provide a variety of very promising benefits both in large scale businesses and small businesses.  The demand and selling value is very good in traditional markets and supermarkets. However, white oyster mushroom production is still very low. This is due to several factors such as poor quality seeds, poor marketing strategies and inadequate product processing. For this reason, it is necessary to provide education and assistance in the oyster mushroom business to the Women's Group of Farmers Cultivating Javanese Oyster Mushrooms, Gadut Saiyo Limau Manis, Padang City. The aim of this service activity is to help increase the knowledge and ability to cultivate white oyster mushrooms in the Gadut Saiyo Limau Manis Javanese Oyster Mushroom Farming Women's Group, Padang City. The method used was a lecture and discussion method with members of the Gadut Saiyo Javanese Oyster Mushroom Farming Women's Group. The results of the activity are socialization activities by providing good knowledge of oyster mushroom cultivation. In socialization activities, questionnaires are filled out at the beginning and end of the activity to measure participants' knowledge. The activities carried out received good appreciation and other follow-up activities need to be carried out. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that after the educational activities were carried out there was an increase in the knowledge of the members of the Gadut Saiyo Java Oyster Mushroom Farming Women's Group by 90.48% with a participant satisfaction level of 84% and 90% of participants stated that the activities that had been carried out were very beneficial for members of the Oyster Mushroom Farming Women's Group.
