Abstract

The aim of this research is based on the fact that children are the nation's next generation who will grow and develop according to their age. By introducing emotions from an early age, children's emotions will develop and become one of the supporters of success in their future lives, accompanied by the formation of important social attitudes through good parenting in order to foster positive emotions and empathy in children. Because basically a low level of emotional intelligence will lead children to have negative social attitudes, such as having difficulty managing their emotions so they cannot solve the problems they face, being vindictive, always feeling right, being easily offended, easily getting emotional, and so on. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and social attitudes towards the learning discipline of class III students at SDN 01 Kebondalem. This type of research uses quantitative methods with a sample population of 15 respondents from class III students at SDN 01 Kebondalem. The sampling technique used was a non-random sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with the classic assumption test, t test and F test. The results of this research show that there is a relationship between the variables between the level of emotional intelligence (X1), social attitudes (X2) and the learning discipline of class III students at SDN 01 Kebondalem (Y).

Abstract

Numeracy skills among early-grade students remain relatively low, particularly in mastering the concepts of addition and subtraction. This issue is exacerbated by the lack of interactive and developmentally appropriate learning media that can provide meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Math Counting Box as a learning medium to enhance students’ numeracy skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were lower-grade elementary school students. Data collection involved expert validation, numeracy tests through pretest and posttest, and student response questionnaires. The instruments used included validation sheets, numeracy test items, and a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine the effect of the media on learning outcomes. The results showed that the Math Counting Box demonstrated a high level of validity, significantly improved numeracy scores (p < 0.001), and received very positive responses from students with an average rating of 89.72%. These findings indicate that the media is effective in enhancing basic numeracy skills and can serve as an innovative solution to support mathematical thinking development at an early educational stage.

Abstract

The present study’s objectives are (1) to describe the CRT-based collaborative project model of social studies and fine arts; (2) to analyse the implementation of CRT in collaborative learning; and (3) to measure the influence of projects on students' social awareness. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subject is students who take social studies and fine arts courses in the PGSD Study Program with a research location in Semarang. Data collection techniques were observation to observe the collaborative learning process, interviews to explore the experiences of students and lecturers in projects, and documentation to analyse students' artworks as learning outcomes. Questionnaires are used to measure changes in students' social consciousness. Data Analysis techniques use qualitative analysis, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Thematic analysis is used to analyse patterns and themes in the collected data. Success Indicators are determined by increasing students' understanding of social issues through artworks based on local culture in Semarang, active participation of students in CRT-based discussions, and the existence of students' critical reflection on social reality manifested in course outputs, namely works with social issues in Semarang which are reviewed through expert lectures in an art exhibition called social art exhibition.

Abstract

This study presents the feasibility and validity of IPAS learning planning using the Understanding by Design (UbD) approach in a fifth-grade elementary school. This study uses a research and development (R&D) methodology that adopts the ADDIE model (Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection instruments were expert lecturer validity, teacher feasibility questionnaires, and student feasibility questionnaires, developed based on the review of the supervising lecturer and expert assessment. The implementation stage involved applying the developed learning plan to fifth-grade students at Karangsono 02 Public Elementary School. The trials at this stage included product validity and feasibility tests conducted by expert lecturers, classroom teachers, and fifth-grade students. The results show that the subject matter experts scored 91% in the excellent category, the learning planning experts scored 81% in the good category, and the teacher and student questionnaires were rated very feasible (93% and 87%). The evaluation stage included evaluations conducted at each stage of the ADDIE model. Data analysis techniques used triangulation. The results demonstrate that the IPAS learning plan, developed using the UbD approach, was valid and feasible for use in elementary schools, offering a valuable and innovative learning experience for teachers and students.

Abstract

The background of this research is the difficulty experienced by students in understanding the material, which results in low learning outcomes, limited communication skills, and inability to solve problems collaboratively, indicating that their social skills have not yet developed optimally. In addition, the seating arrangement does not allow students to actively engage in the learning process. This research is quantitative using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest posttest design. The research population was all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Rejosari 02, with a sample of 23 students selected, using a non- probability sampling technique with saturated sampling. The data were collected through interviews, tests, documentation, and observation. Based on the data analysis, the average pretest score was 56.522 and the average posttest score was 89.565. The t-test hypothesis test resulted in tcount = 8.768 with df = n1 + n2 – 1 = 23 + 23 – 1 = 45, and at a 5% significance level, the ttable value was 2.014. Because tcount > ttable namely 8.768 > 2.014, ?0 was rejected. This means there was a significant difference between the pretest and pos-test average learning outcomes. The n-gain calculation was 0.749, which falls into the high category, indicates that classroom arrangement in project-based learning effectively improves students scientific understanding. In addition, students social skills such as their ability to cooperate, engage in discussions, and solve problems also developed positively. Thus, classroom arrangement in project-based learning has a positive effect on improving science understanding and social skills.

Abstract

Learning media is important in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. At SD Negeri Gumelem IPAS subjects combine Natural and Social Sciences to increase the relevance of the material to real life and develop critical skills, communication, collaboration and innovation. The research and development (R&D) method was used to create innovative learning media. The development of monopoly game as a media for grade IV students helps to improve motivation and learning outcomes. At SD Negeri Gumelem and SD Negeri 02 Siwalan, the results showed an increase in the average score from 59.16 in the pre-test to 76.94 in the post-test. MOJA learning media was validated by experts with a score of 85.71% and 96.71%, categorized as "Very Feasible". The trial on grade IV students showed significant improvement. This media is effective and recommended to support the teaching and learning process, especially the material of the Hindu Buddhist Kingdom.

Abstract

Misconceptions in learning Indonesian language on punctuation, often experienced by students are misconceptions in the use of punctuation, especially in the placement of commas which are the most common errors in writing, then periods, exclamation marks, and questions. This study aims to identify forms of misconceptions in students in the use of punctuation, factors causing misconceptions in the use of punctuation, and solutions to overcome misconceptions in the use of punctuation in class V SDN Medono 04 Pekalongan. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews, student worksheet results, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed that misconceptions of punctuation were mainly caused by a lack of understanding of basic concepts, inappropriate writing habits, and minimal practice. The solution to overcoming misconceptions in the use of punctuation is that teachers provide writing exercises using punctuation, give quizzes by completing sentences with the correct punctuation, and get students used to reading texts with intonation according to punctuation. These findings are expected to be a reference for educators in improving students' understanding of the use of punctuation correctly.
