Abstract

The need for orchids in Indonesia are still very large, including the Dendrobium "Indonesia Raya" orchid which is still popular. Obstacles in orchid propagation are very slow growth at the acclimatization stage so that alternatives are needed to spur the vegetative growth of orchid plantlets whose materials are easily available and affordable. One of the efforts to spur growth is by using a combination of fern media, husk charcoal, and wood shavings and using Monosodium glutamate (MSG) as a fertilizer supplement in the growth of orchid plantlets at the aclimatization stage. This study aims to determine the effect of the type of planting medium and the application of monosodium glutamate (MSG) and its interaction on the growth of the Dendrobium "Indonesia Raya" orchid at the acclimatization stage. The method used was a 2-factor factorial randomized block design (RBD). The first factor was the type of planting medium, namely ferns, husk charcoal, wood shavings, ferns + husk charcoal, ferns + wood shavings, ferns + husk charcoal + wood shavings. The second factor is the dose of Monosodium glutamate, namely without MSG, 2.5 grams / liter of water and 5.0 grams / liter of water. Located in the Laboratory and Green House of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries of Makassar City from December 2020 to February 2021. The results showed that the dose of Monosodium glutamate do not provide a significant response to the growth of orchid plantlets while the combination of fern + charcoal growing media could increase the vegetative growth of orchids. Abstract

The control of moler disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum on shallot plants in Enrekang Regency still relies on the use of chemical fungicides. Plants that are symbiotic with microbes will produce phytohormones optimally so that it will trigger the tolerance level of plants to abiotic and biotic stresses including plant pathogens, so it is necessary to explore the rhizosphere fungi of onion plants in Enrekang Regency to identify morphologically. This study used a red onion soil rhizosphere soil sample taken at the shallot farming center in Enrekang Regency, isolation and testing were carried out in the plant disease laboratory of Hasanuddin University. The results achieved were 20 isolates with 5 genera of fungi namely Fusarium on isolates 1,2,4,12 and 13, Gliocladium on isolates number 15,

Abstract

One of the commodity centers for shallots and other secondary crops such as cabbage, chilies, tomatoes, corn, celery leaves, leeks, etc., is in Warian Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency. Farmers in the village of Waria use chemical fertilizers to increase the production of agricultural products. Excessive use of chemical fertilizers has an impact on the decreasing quality of land which has the next effect, namely the use of chemical fertilizers is increasingly uncontrolled. Another problem that arises is the increasing scarcity of subsidized fertilizers while non-subsidized fertilizers circulating in the market are not cheap. Because of these problems, this community service activity is carried out in the form of socialization to provide an understanding of the benefits and impacts of using organic fertilizers, training activities for making organic fertilizers using agricultural waste, and empowerment activities to increase the economic value of agricultural waste. The objectives to be achieved in empowerment activities include: 1) Obtaining a method of making organic fertilizer by utilizing agricultural waste and livestock manure; 2) Developing plant cultivation that uses more organic fertilizers 3) Increasing the economic value of agricultural waste in the form of ready-to-use organic fertilizers. The method of activity is an approach to farmers to grow and increase the motivation of farmer groups. Activities to be carried out: 1) Training and demonstrations on the manufacture of organic fertilizers made from agricultural waste, cow dung and chicken manure using local micro-organisms Tricoderma sp and commercial activators such as EM4-, 2) Making pilot vegetable cultivation using organic fertilizers, 3) Demonstration of making ready-to-package organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Salah satu sentra komuditas bawang merah adalah Desa Mendatte. Potensi pengembangan hasil pertanian dan parawisata di sangat strategis mengingat Desa Mendatte merupakan daerah yang masuk dalam salah satu Desa pengembangan parawisata dan UKMK. Tujuan dari Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra melalui pelatihan pemasaran online. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dengan mitra Kelompok Wanita Tani Indorangan dan Pemuda Sipakario. Hasil dari Pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan mitra terkait pemasaran online. Selain itu, Kelompok Tani mampu memanfaatkan media online dalam menjual produknya sehingga akan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Mendatte, Kabupaten Enrekang.

Abstract

Pertanian adalah salah satu sektor kunci yang memainkan peran vital dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan yabg mulai menghadapi beragam tantangan yang semakin rumit, seperti merusak unsur kesuburan tanah, dan rendahnya prtoduksi pertanian, sehungga diperlukan teknologi yang sesuai menggunakan mikroorganisme lokal yang ramah lingkungan, seperti Trichoderma sp. untuk menhasilkan produk yang dapat meningkatkan produksi.  Desa Basseang sebagai wujud dedikasi mahasiswa kepada masyarakat dengan konsentrasi pada penerapan teknologi tepat guna dalam sektor pertanian berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengelola limbah pertanian agar dapat menjadi produk yang berguna seperti Trichokompos, salah satunya melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan Trichokompos yang menggunakan mikroorganisme dari Trichoderma sp. yang berfungsi sebagai agen hayati dekomposer yang dapat mempercepat proses pengomposan serta meningkatkan unsur hara dalam pupuk organik. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi penyuluhan pentingnya Trichoderma didalam peningkatan produktivitas tanaman dan kandungan unsur hara pada limbah pertanian, pelatihan perbanyakan Trichoderma menggunakan media beras, pelatihan pembuatan trichokompos, dan pelatihan cara pemupukan. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran serta partisipasi masyarakat terkait pentingnya pertanian yang ramah lingkungan, tingginya manfaatan dan kandungan limbah pertanian, perananan Trichoderma bagi pertanian dan juga menumbuhkan kemandirian dalam produksi pupuk organik. Bagi mahasiswa, aktivitas ini menjadi medium untuk menerapkan ilmu dalam bidang pertanian, mikrobiologi, pertanian organik serta pemberdayaan masyarakat secara praktis di lapangan. Sasaran akhir kegiatan ini adalah dimanfaatkannya limbah pertanian menjadi pupuk organik sehingga struktur tanah menjadi lebih baik, peningkatan produksi hingga terwujud pertanian organik yang berkelanjutan.
