Abstract

This study aims to examine the growth and production of paprika (Capsicum annum var. Grossum) when treated with liquid organic fertilizer mixed with gamal leaves and kepok banana peels, and to recommend the optimal dose for this treatment. Plantation land on Jalan Maridan Riko in Maridan Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan was surveyed for this study. Five different doses, labeled P0 (Control), P1 (40 ml), P2 (80 ml), P3 (120 ml), and P4 (160 ml), were tested in a randomized block design trial. Plant height among the measured variables, number of leaves, number of fruits, fruit weight. Based on the results of analysis of plant height growth data Fcount (6.88) > Ftable (2.87), analysis of data on the number of plant leaves Fcount (60.92) > Ftable (2.87), analysis of data on the number of fruit Fcount (6.66) > Ftable (3.02) and results of fruit weight data analysis Fcount (2.91) > Ftable (2.87). These findings indicate that the optimal dose of liquid organic fertilizer for gamal leaves and kepok banana peels is 120 ml (P3), and this has a real impact on the development and yield of chili (Capsicum annum var. Grossum).

Abstract

Video media is a medium that provides information in the form of sound and visuals. Based on the results of observations obtained from biology education students who have received protist courses, the learning process is still centered on educators and textbooks or manuals, so students tend to be passive or lack interest and motivation to learn. Phenomena that are happening a lot at this time, for example when practicum activities take place only use manuals to find out how the activities will work, thus making some students not understand clearly the steps of the work being carried out. The purpose of this research is to increase student learning motivation in the Protist course. The application of videos can provide opportunities for students to collect information and make it easier to carry out learning activities. The subjects of this study were biology education students from class of 2019 and below with the condition that they had passed the protista course with a total of 55 respondents. The research instrument was conducted using qualitative and quantitative methods. The validity test results obtained had a significant value <0.05, namely 0.000 <0.05 and the reliability test had a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.821 > 0.70. The conclusion obtained by video media is effective in helping the learning process.

Abstract

Analysis of Microplastic in Ice Cubes Around Mulawarman University Gunung Kelua sub-district, thesis for Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mulawarman University, Research Under the Guidance of Prof. Dr. Didimus Tanah Boleng, M.Kes and Dr. Sonja Verra Tinneke Lumowa, M. Kes as supervisor I and II. This study aims to determine the microplastic in ice cubes and to determine the shape, color, and abundance of microplastics in ice cubes around Mulawarman University, Gunung Kelua sub-district. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Sampling with purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive by identifying and classifying it based on the shape, color, and abundance of microplastics in the ice cubes. The results of the research on the analysis of the microplastic in ice cubes around Mulawarman University Gunung Kelua sub-district, showed that all samples of the tested ice cubes contained positive microplastics. Microplastics in ice cubes with AMIU 1 as raw material have an abundance of 10 particles/L in the form of fibers, fragments and films with black, red, blue and transparent colors. Microplastics in ice cubes with AMIU 2 raw materials have an abundance of 9 particles/L in the form of fibers and fragments with black and red colors. Microplastics in ice cubes with PDAM 1 as raw material have an abundance of 22 particles/L in the form of fibers, fragments, and films with black, red, blue, purple, transparent, and yellow colors. Microplastics in ice cubes made from PDAM 2 have an abundance of 17 particles in the form of fibers and fragments with black, red and blue colors. Microplastics in crystal ice cubes have an abundance of 29 particles/L in the form of fibers, fragments and films with black, red, purple and transparent colors.

Abstract

The study was intended for: 1).to know the results of validation of Flipped Classroom learning strategy to improve the results of students' cognitive learning on XI grade in SMAK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda. 2). to know the effectiveness of the development of Flipped Classroom learning strategy to improve the results of students' cognitive learning on XI grade in SMAK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda. This development research refers to development measures with the model Thiagarajan & Semmel. The design of the development is grouped over 3 comprehensive development procedures: (a) define stages (definition) (b) design stages (design) and (c) development stages (development). The product's test consists of validation tests conducted by both study and linguistics specialists and product assessments conducted through the 2 stages the control class  test to 31 students of XI grade and experimental class testing to 31 students of XI grade in SMAK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda. Data collection uses interview,observation,questionnaire for linguists and test text instruments. The study (1) resulted in Flipped Classroom learning device (2) the product produced effectively improves the cognitive value of students of XI grade in SMAK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda as a study result,shown that the pretest average of 52.48 increased in a post test of 56.38 to the control class while 53.83 increased at the post test level of 87.37. And testing t independent t test of 0.467 > 0.05,this proves that there is no significant difference between control class and experiment class during learning using Flipped Classroom to improve students' cognitive learning on Biology of XI grade in SMAK Santo Fransiskus Assisi Samarinda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran yangdikembangkan melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan untuk mengetahui permasalahan apasaja yang dihadapi oleh guru saat mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran melalui model inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif dimana data dibuat dalam bentuk persentase. Sampel penelitian 10 orang guru IPA Biologi yang berasal dari 5 SMP di Balikpapan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kurangnya pemahaman guru terkait perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri (Silabus, RPP, Handout, LKPD, Media dan Evaluasi) terbimbing dan banyaknya masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru pada saat pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Biologi mulai dari Silabus, RPP, Handout, LKPD, Media dan Evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa 70% guru pemahaman terkait perangkat pembelajaran masuk dalam kategori kurang dan 75% guru mengalami permasalahan pada saat mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa perlunya mengadakan sosialisasi dan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing IPA Biologi SMP.Kata Kunci: Analisis, Guru, Perangkat Pembelajaran, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Biologi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian gabungan pupuk organik cair daun gamal dan kulit pisang kepok terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman paprika (Capsicum annum var. Grossum) serta untuk mengetahui dosis terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman paprika (Capsicum annum var. Grossum). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan perkebunan di jalan maridan riko, Kelurahan Maridan, Kecamatan Sepaku, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode rancangan acak kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan dengan dosis yang diberikan yakni P0 (Kontrol), P1 (40 ml), P2 (80 ml), P3 (120 ml), P4 (160 ml). Parameter yang diukur, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, berat buah. Berdasarka hasil analisis data pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman Fhitung (6,88) > Ftabel (2,87), analisis data jumlah daun tanaman Fhitung (60,92) > Ftabel (2,87), analisis data jumlah buah Fhitung (6,66) > Ftabel (3,02) dan hasil analisis data berat buah Fhitung (2,91) > Ftabel (2,87). Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan pupuk organik cair daun gamal dan kulit pisang kepok berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman paprika (Capsicum annum var. Grossum) dengan pemberian dosis terbaik 120 ml (P3).

Abstract

Cognitive learning outcomes are an aspect related to the reasoning or thinking process, namely the ability and activity of the brain to develop rational abilities. Based on observation of schools in Balikpapan, students’ cognitive learning outcomes still have not achieved the minimum completion criteria (KKM). Students have difficulties in learning archaebacteria and eubacteria because the concepts are abstract. The lack of variations in learning media has made this topic more difficult to teach. This research aimed to determine the influence of Archaebacteria and Eubacteria web-based learning media on students’ cognitive learning outcomes in Balikpapan. The type of research was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was all senior high schools in Balikpapan. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The samples of this research were three senior high schools in Balikpapan. The subjects of this research were students of SMAN 1 Balikpapan, SMAN 2 Balikpapan, and SMA Patra Dharma Balikpapan. Data analysis technique using ANCOVA (SPSS Statistics 23). According to the research findings, the average cognitive learning score of the cognitive learning score test in the experimental class is higher than the control class, which is 72.98 67.84. The prerequisite test shows that data were normally distributed and class groups derived from a homogenous population. The hypothesis test using ANCOVA at a 0.05 significance level shows that there is an effect of applying web-based learning media on students’ cognitive learning outcomes in learning archaebacteria and eubacteria.

Abstract

Limbah cair industri tahu mengandung padatan tersuspensi atau lauratan yang mengalami perubahan fisik, kimia, dan biologi, serta akan menghasilkan zat beracun bahkan bisa membuat media pertumbuhyan untuk kuman. dan dapat menyebabkan gatal, diare, sampai mual apabila dimanfaatkan oleh manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan mikrobact dan Efective Microorganisme-4 (EM4) terhadap kualitas kadar BOD, amoniak dan pH pada limbah cair industri tahu. Jenis penelitain yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen laboratorium. Pengumpulan data didapat dari hasil pemeriksaan BOD, pH, serta amoniak limbah cair tahu yang diberi perlakuan dengan penambahan EM-4 dan microbact 100, 200 ml dengan limbah sebanyak 1 liter. dengan lama fermentasi yang berbeda - beda yaitu lama fermentasi 7, 14, 21 hari. Penelitian dilakukan selama 4 bulan, bulan Januari-April 2023. Yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kualitas Air, Fakultas Perikanan dan kelautan, Universitas Mulawarman. : Konsentrasi larutan yang paling optimal guna menurunkan kadar BOD pada limbah cair tahu adalah P2 (200 ml Larutan effective Microorganisme-4), Konsentrasi larutan yang paling optimal guna menurunkan kadar amoniak pada limbha cair tahu adalah P4 (200 ml Microbat), Konsentrasi optimal parameter pH di perlakuan 2 dengan penggunaan larutan effective Microorganisme-4 (EM4) sebanyak 200 ml. Penambahan larutan effective Microorganisme-4 (EM4) dan microbact terhadap kadar BOD, amoniak, dan pH pada limbah cair industri tahu berpengaruh, dapat dilihat dari adanya penerunan nilai kadar limbah masing masing parameter.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan wadah bagi peserta didik dalam mengembangkan suatu potensi yang dimilikinya. Potensi dalam hal ini dapat berupa kemampuan kognitif, kemampuan spiritual, kemampuan emosional serta kemampuan keterampilan yang terlibat dalam diri peserta didik seperti motivasi diri. Guru perlu memahami karakteristik awal peserta didik sehingga dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarannya, guru mudah mengelola segala sesuatu yang berkaitan dengan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik perkembangan peserta didik pada aspek motivasi belajar dan perkembangan sosial-emosional sehingga guru dapat merancang pembelajaran dengan memperhatikan tingkat perkembangan peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan kuesioner berupa angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan data reduction, data display, dan conclusion atau verification. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa, pada aspek perkembangan motivasi belajar, sebanyak 86,67% dari 30 peserta didik mampu memotivasi diri sendiri untuk belajar dengan diakomodir oleh guru dalam menumbuhkan motivasi sebelum mulai pembelajaran. sedangkan pada aspek perkembangan sosial-emosional, sebanyak 83,33% dari 30 peserta didik, perkembangan yang dimiliki telah tercapai dengan baik ditunjukkan dengan peserta didik mampu mengendalikan emosi serta mampu berinteraksi dengan teman.

Abstract

Lingkungan belajar sangat berperan dalam menciptakan gairah mahasiswa dan secara sosial sangat berpengaruh terhadap proses pembelajaran. Lingkungan belajar dapat meningkatkan keaktifan mahasiswa dan keefektifan belajar. Lingkungan belajar tidak hanya secara langsung mempengaruhi tinggi rendahnya hasil belajar, lingkungan belajar juga akan menyentuh ranah kognitif atau personal siswa, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara umum lingkungan belajar peserta didik Penelitian ini tergolong jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-5 SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pedoman wawancara dan pengamatan langsung sehingga akan didapati hasil analisis lingkungan belajar.
