Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat melalui pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 10 Gorontalo dengan metode deskriptif yang melibatkan 21 orang siswa sebagai sampel penelitian yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan melibatkan 4 indikator, yaitu : (1) memahami masalah, (2) membuat strategi, (3) melaksanakan strategi dan (4) menginterpretasikan hasil. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dalam bentuk persentase kemudian dikategorikan berdasarkan kriteria penilaian. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa termasuk dalam kategori rendah yang ditunjukkan dengan persentase skor yang dicapai oleh siswa adalah sebesar 60,89%.

Abstract

This article discusses the problem-solving abilities of students in the flat-sided geometry material in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 school year. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo involving 35 students of class IX as research subjects, who were selected using purposive sampling data collection techniques. Data collection was carried out using tests in the form of story questions to measure problem-solving abilities and interviews to strengthen and add the required information. Indicators used to measure problem-solving abilities include: 1) understanding the problem, 2) plan a solution, 3) solve the problem, 4) recheck the results obtained. The results showed that the average achievement of students' ability levels in solving contextual questions in class IX of SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo was still in the low category, namely 53.51% although there were some students who got high scores. This is shown by the achievement of the indicator of understanding the problem with a percentage of 44.86%, the indicator of planning for completion getting a percentage of 61.14%, the indicator of solving the problem getting a percentage of 63.86% and the indicator re-checking the results obtained getting a percentage of 43.62%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking skills of SMP Negeri 1 Dungaliyo students on triangle material using descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Dungaliyo in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, as many as 27 students. The instrument used in this study was a test to obtain data on mathematical creative thinking skills and interviews to complement and strengthen the information derived from giving tests on triangle material that had been empirically validated. To see students' mathematical creative thinking skills, 4 indicators are used, namely 1). Smoothness (fluency); 2) Dexterity (flexibility); 3). Authenticity (authenticity); 4). Details (description). The data analysis technique used in this research is percentage analysis. Based on the data obtained for indicators of skill (fluency) of 50.93%, flexibility (flexibility) of 46.14%, originality of 33.33%, and details (elaboration).

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on social arithmetic topics by applying the Talking Stick learning model. This type of research includes the type of classroom action research. The study involved 23 students from one of the junior high schools in Bone Bolango Regency as research subjects. The technique used in data collection is observation and tests. The technique used in data collection is observation and tests. The data analysis techniques in this study were teacher observation data analysis, student observation data analysis, and test analysis of learning outcomes. The research procedures are action planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in stages with cycles, namely cycles I and II. The results showed that the percentage of students who completed mathematics learning outcomes was 52.20% in the first cycle and 82.60% in the second cycle. Thus, there is an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes by 30.40%. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes on social arithmetic material have increased after the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model with two cycles of learning stages.

Abstract

Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran matematika dimaksudkan untuk mengakselerasi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang diharapkan akan berdampak pada peningkatan hasil belajarnya. Melalui penelitian ini dikembangkan suatu multimedia pembelajaran matematika berbasis android “Cermat” pada materi Koordinat Cartesius, yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ASSURE yang diadopsi untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran. Tahapan model ASSURE terdiri dari 6 tahapan yaitu Analyze learners characteristic, State objectives, Select technology, media and materials, Utilize technology, media and materials, Require learner participation, dan Evaluation and revise. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Bone Bolango. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator ahli media dan ahli materi masing-masing memperoleh skor rata-rata kevalidan 3,84 kategori sangat valid dan 3,09 valid. Persentase hasil analisis uji keterbacaan mencapai 89,74% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Untuk uji coba multimedia mendapatkan hasil respon siswa dengan persentase 85,66% kategori sangat positif sedangkan untuk evaluasi media oleh guru meraih skor rata-rata keseluruhan 3,58 kategori sangat praktis. Hasil tes belajar matematika siswa menunjukkan ketuntasan sebesar 77,77% kategori efektif, sehingga multimedia pembelajaran matematika “CerMat” layak diterapkan di kelas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana Sistem Aplikasi Keuangan Tingkat Instansi (SAKTI) diterapkan dalam proses penyajian Laporan Keuangan di Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Gorontalo. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode kualitatif deskriptif sebagai kerangka kerjanya. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa penerapan SAKTI di Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Gorontalo dalam menyajikan laporan keuangan, lebih mengalami kemudahan dibandingkan dengan penggunaan aplikasi keuangan sebelumnya. Namun, perlu dicatat bahwa akses internet yang stabil diperlukan karena sistem SAKTI ini berbasis web.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperati tipe jigsaw dan hasil belajar yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi bilangan pecahan di kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Kabila. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kabila. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling dan diperoleh kelas VII B sebagai kelas yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw (kelas eksperimen) yang terdiri dari 32 siswa. Dan kelas VII H sebagai kelas yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (kelas kontrol) yang terdiri atas 25 siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Posttest-Only Control Group Desain dan Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu pemberian tes hasil belajar yang berbentuk pilihan ganda. Analisis inferensial dalam penelitian ini adalah uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwasanya hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi bilangan pecahan.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the learning process in schools. For this reason, researchers observed learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo, it was found that students were still not optimal in solving mathematical problems, especially in formulating steps to solve problems. This research aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities by using GeoGebra on three-dimensional material. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo in class XII IPA 5 from September to October of the 2022/2023 academic year with research subjects totaling 30 students. The research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which involves the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was obtained from observation and written tests. Analysis of observation results was obtained by calculating scores for each aspect criterion observed both on the teacher observation sheet and the student observation sheet, while the written test was analyzed by referring to the minimum completeness criteria. The results of the research show that there is an increase in students' problem-solving abilities in three-dimensional material after taking action using the GeoGebra learning media.

Abstract

This research is survey research using correlation techniques whics aims to determine the correlation between learning styles and cognitive ability on circle material. This research was conducted at grade VIII students of Junior High School SMP Negeri 2 Limboto, Gorontalo regency, 2017/2018 academic year with a sample of 119 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires and test. The questionnaire is to obtain learning style data, while the test is to obtain students’ cognitive ability data on circle material. Further, the hypothesis is tested using regression and correlation analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it is shown that there was a positive correlation between learning styles and cognitive ability on circle material at grade VIII of Junior High School SMP Negeri 2 Limboto, Gorontalo regency. The contribution of learning styles given to students’ cognitive ability on circle material is 9.14%. This value shows the influence given by the learning style of students’ cognitive ability. The result provides information that the lack of selecting and understanding of each student’s learning style influences the level of cognitive abilities, especially on circle material even though the contribution is given is 9.14%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' written mathematical communication skills through a scientific approach. Implementation of actions is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this research were 22 students in class VIII of SMP NEGERI 6 SATAP Telaga Biru, consisting of 10 men and 12 women. The techniques used in this research were observation and tests. The data analysis techniques in this research are teacher observation, student observation, and mathematical communication tests. Research procedures include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research consisted of 2 cycles. The results of the research show that there has been an increase in mathematical communication through scientific learning. This is shown by the research results that the scientific learning process has been running in accordance with the learning implementation plan and has succeeded in creating a conducive learning situation and improving mathematical communication. The results of the research showed that mathematical communication skills in cycle I were 55% poor criteria and in cycle II were 82% good criteria. The results of observations of teachers' teaching skills when managing learning has increased, in cycle I it reached 79.17\% of good criteria, while in cycle II it reached 90.97% of very good criteria. The results of observations of student learning activities have increased, from cycle I the percentage was 70.63 good criteria, whereas in cycle II it was 82.5% very good criteria.
