Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-module on the topic of the Pythagorean Theorem using the RealisticMathematics Education (RME) approach, assisted by Flip PDF Professional The background of thisresearch was the low level of students mathematical understanding, the limited availability of teachingmaterials, and the suboptimal use of technology in the learning process at SMP Negeri 2 Randangan. Theresearch followed the five stages of the ADDIE development model, namely. Analysis, Design,Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the expert validation for media and contentshowed that the developed e-module fell into the "valid" category, with average scores of 3.36 and 3.37,respectively. The practicality tests also yielded excellent results, with a practicality percentage of 92.50%from teachers and 89.49% from students, both categorized as "very practical." Therefore, this e-modulewas considered suitable and effective for use as a learning resource, particularly for teaching thePythagorean Theorem. It was also found to enhance student engagement and understanding through acontextual and interactive approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media interaktif Wordwall terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi operasi bilangan bulat di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Talaga Jaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest–posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media Wordwall dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media PowerPoint. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t, effect size, dan N-Gain untuk melihat perbedaan hasil belajar serta efektivitas perlakuan.mHasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai t-hitung 7,767 > t-tabel 2,011 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,02, sedangkan kelas kontrol 76,33. Nilai effect size 2,69 menunjukkan pengaruh tinggi, dan N-Gain 0,726 termasuk kategori tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media interaktif Wordwall berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Media ini mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, menarik, dan menyenangkan, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

 Student learning outcomes represent their understanding of subject material and serve as a benchmark for evaluating educational effectiveness. A preliminary investigation at SMA Negeri 7 Gorontalo revealed low student performance in matrix-related mathematics topics. Among various factors influencing learning success, critical thinking stands out as a key internal factor in mathematics education. This study employed a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design with an ex post facto approach. It aimed to assess the mathematical critical thinking skills of Grade XI students and to examine their relationship with learning outcomes on matrix material. Critical thinking was evaluated using four indicators: analyzing, evaluating, explaining, and concluding. Findings indicated that most students had not yet achieved an optimal level of mathematical critical thinking, with an average score of 56.34 across a sample of 50 students. Correlational analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, with critical thinking accounting for 61.62% of the variance in performance. The data suggest that mathematical critical thinking skills play a substantial role in determining student success in matrix material. Given the strong correlation observed, enhancing these skills may lead to measurable improvements in learning outcomes. There is a significant and positive relationship between students' mathematical critical thinking skills and their learning outcomes in matrix material. Efforts to strengthen critical thinking could be an effective strategy to improve academic performance in mathematics.

Abstract

The mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students is still considered low, as evidenced by the low learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa. To enhance this ability, an innovative learning model is required. One such model is ICARE, which is believed to encourage active student engagement and foster a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to determine the differences between the ICARE learning model and the conventional learning model on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Suwawa. The research was conducted from May to June during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method employed in this study was an experimental method involving two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Simple random sampling was used to select the samples. The research design utilized was a Post-test Only Control Group Design. The data were collected through a written post-test. The results of the study, based on hypothesis testing using a t-test, showed that the obtained tcount​ = 3.050, while the critical ttable = 2.007 at a significance level of 0.05. Since tcount​> ttable the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students taught using the ICARE learning model is higher than that of students taught using the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada materi kesebangunan dan kekongruenan di kelas IX MTS Negeri 1 Bone Bolango. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan wawancara. Dari 22 siswa yang diuji, 18,18% siswa memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis tinggi, 45,45% berada pada tingkat sedang, dan 36,36% berada pada tingkat rendah. Rata-rata skor siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi adalah 26,75 dari 32, siswa dengan kemampuan sedang mencapai 19,8, dan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah mendapatkan 15,5. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi dapat menjawab sebagian besar soal dengan baik, sementara siswa sedang masih memerlukan peningkatan ketelitian, dan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah kesulitan memahami soal dan menerapkan konsep matematis.
