Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui identifikasi faktor berkelanjutan agrowisata bitra sayum sabah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Agrowisata Bitra Di Desa Sayum Sabah Kecamatan Sibolangit Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2020. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 45 responden. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dari Pengunjung, Masyarakat, dan Pedagang. Metode pengambilan sampel penelitian untuk pengunjung, masyarakat, dan pedagang di lakukan dengan metode Incidental Sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor infrastruktur yang mendukung keberlajutan agrowisata bitra yaitu jalan masuk, jembatan, parkir, warung, jaringan, tempat sampah, pendopo, toilet, dan musholla. Untuk aspek infrastruktur yang mendukung keberlajutan agrowisata bitra yaitu jalan masuk, jembatan, parkir, tempat sampah, pendopo, toilet. Sedangkan, yang tidak mendukung keberlajutan agrowisata bitra yaitu warung, jaringan komunikasi, mushollah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the income and feasibility of hydroponic spinach farming and whether spinach hydroponic farming is feasible. This research was conducted from November to December 2020. The location of the research was determined purposively because it took into account where there had been a lot of conversion of agricultural land to non-agriculture. The population in this research is Sufi Agrifarm's hydroponic spinach farming, the data used is primary data. The analysis used in this study is income and feasibility analysis, in the feasibility analysis used the formula R/C B/C and BEP (Break Even Point). Amaranth hydroponic farming income is Rp. 25.153.166,67/month. The value of R/C Ratio hydroponic farming of spinach 2.64 1 and B/C 1.64 1 with a break-even point of spinach production of 171 kg 450 kg and a break-even point of Rp. 34.104/Kg Rp. 90,000 and can be said to be decent.

Abstract

Basal stem rot and upper stem rot of oil palms caused by Ganoderma boninense are important oil palm diseases faced by oil palm plantations in Indonesia. For many years, basal stem rot was found to infect older oil palms that were more than 25 to 30 years old, but the disease began to appear in oil palms that were 10 to 15 years old and was even found infecting oil palm nurseries. Community service will be carried out in October 2023 in Gunung Ambat village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. The aim of this service is for the public to receive information about prevention and actions that will be taken by smallholder oil palm plantation farmers in the Sei Bingai sub-district, Langkat Regency. The expected target is for the community to distinguish attacks caused by G. boninense so that prevention can be carried out early and there is no decline in people's palm oil production. The community service method is carried out through lectures, discussions, and direct visits to people's oil palm plantations. The implementation of service activities was carried out in preparation by coordinating with community leaders and extension workers, as well as the implementation unit of the Sei Bingai sub-district agricultural service, Langkat Regency. Carrying out lectures and discussions with a team of lecturers and students targeting smallholder oil palm plantation farmers.

Abstract

Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) is a natural sweetener plant that is increasingly in demand because of the content of steviol glycosides in its leaves which is safe for people with diabetes and obesity. The biomass production of stevia leaves is an important indicator in determining the quality and quantity of glycosides produced. This study aims to analyze the influence of various types of organic fertilizers on the growth and production of Stevia rebaudiana biomass through a literature study. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative method by examining 30 relevant scientific sources from national and international journals in the period 2008–2023. The results of the study show that organic fertilizers such as manure, compost, cascing, and plantagar are able to significantly increase vegetative growth, root system, and leaf glycoside content. The effectiveness of fertilizers is greatly influenced by environmental factors such as soil pH, temperature, and light intensity. The use of paranet and liming is an adaptive strategy to create microclimate conditions that support nutrient absorption. In conclusion, the combination of organic fertilization and proper environmental management can optimize the production of stevia biomass in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.

Abstract

Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) is a natural sweetener plant without calories that has great potential as a healthy sweetener alternative, especially for diabetics. Propagation of stevia through seeds has a low success rate, so the stem cuttings method is an efficient solution to maintain the superior properties of the parent plant. This study aims to review various literature on the influence of growth regulators (ZPT) on the success of stevia propagation through the stem cuttings method. The research was conducted with a descriptive-qualitative literature review approach to national and international scientific journals. The results of the study showed that the success of stevia cuttings was greatly influenced by the type of planting medium, humidity, temperature, and ZPT treatment such as IBA, NAA, or a combination in Rootone-F products. The use of mixed soil and manure media (1:1) and ZPT treatment with optimal concentrations (50–100 ppm) has been shown to improve root formation, shoots, and cutting life rates. The cuttings method is very relevant applied by Indonesian farmers because it is cheap, practical, and supports the production of superior seeds for the development of stevia agribusiness. These findings are important as the basis for planning the development of the natural sweetener industry in Indonesia in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penyakit yang sangat penting di perkebunan kelapa sawit adalah busuk pangkal batang yang disebabkan Ganoderma boninense dan merugikan secara ekonomi hampir 43%. Kejadian penyakit akibat G. boninense di perkebunan rakyat telah berdampak terhadap penurunan produksi dan tingkat pendapatan petani juga menurun. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan di desa Tebing Syahbandar Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kemampuan masyarakat tentang penyakit kelapa sawit yang disebabkan G. boninense. Target yang diharapkan adalah masyarakat mampu mengidentifikasi serangan sejak dini sehingga metode pengendalian dengan cara membumbun atau menggunakan bibit unggultahan G. boninense. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan kunjungan langsung di perkebunan rakyat. Pelaksanaan pengabdian melalui koordinasi dengan Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, penyuluh lapangan, serta masyarakat pemilik perkebunan kelapa sawit. Pelaksanaan ceramah dan diskusi bersama tim dosen dan mahasiswa dengan sasaran petani kebun kelapa sawit rakyat.

Abstract

Kabupaten Deli Serdang merupakan salah satu kontributor produksi pangan terutama padi di Sumatera Utara, dan Deli Serdang juga merupakan kabupaten dengan jumlah penduduk terbesar setelah kota medan di Sumatera Utara. Peningkatan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk mampu mengancam penurunan produksi padi, sehingga konsumsi beras perlu dikendalikan untuk menjaga ketahanan pangan, maka dari itu diperlukannya upaya diversifikasi pangan pokok. Komoditas jagung bisa menjadi pilihan sebagai komoditas diversifikasi pangan di Kabupaten Deli Serdang sebab pertumbuhan produksi jagung yang cukup tinggi. Maka dari itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1). Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketersediaan jagung di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. (2). Untuk mengatuhi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi jagung di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian dilakukan di Deli Serdang pada bulan mei-juni 2021. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berdasarkan deret waktu (times series) pada tahun 2015-2020 dan analisis data menggunakan model regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 20. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketersedian jagung di Kabupaten Deli Serdang yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah luas panen jagung, harga jagung dan jumlah penduduk, sedangkan populasi unggas memberikan pengaruh yang negatif. Namun pengaruhnya tidak nyata ataupun signifikan baik secara simultan ataupun parsial. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi jagung adalah pendapatan perkapita yang memberikan pengaruh positif, harga jagung dan harga beras tidak memberikan pengaruh, produksi jangung memberikan pengaruh negatif. Variabel-variabel ini berpengaruh nyata secara simultan tapi tidak secara parsial.
